Chuang's best season!
I can't explain in words how much this season has involved me. I cried, laughed a lot and I supported many trainees. Seeing the lives, following the boys routine and falling in love with their talents were an ecstasy in my busy life. I know they don't know about me, but I wanted them to know that everyone's participation in Chuang made me a happier person. Thank you so much, for touching me and touching my heart so delicately. I will suport the new group and love them so much, fighting INTO1! <3Was this review helpful to you?
⇢ Cast aka the contestants
Chuang 2021 is probably the most culturally diverse survival show I have seen so far. Not only were there trainees from many different counties, but they also were on the run for the place in the debut team - they weren't there just to fill the spot and get international attention.
There were quite a few professionals in their field, bringing many amazing performances that left me speechless. I could see many trainees grow, not only in terms of music related skills, but also maturity, perspective and personalities. I must say, this is my favorite part of these shows.
⇢ Music aka the the performances
Sadly, I have to say that not all performances were good. Some were even bad, but that's kind of how these shows go. Few I loved, one I am obsessed with and watch daily. The biggest disappointment were the vocal performances of Vocal Group A during the finale. Most of the solo stages were of questionable quality. Lucky, the dance stages that followed brought back the hype and good quality.
⇢ Story aka the production
I have my criticism on this part. Because the show was quite short (only 10 episodes), the production felt rushed and not polished. I feel like we never got enough time to watch the trainees actually practice the songs and interact with mentors.
As for the mentors, sad but true some of them were pretty useless, at least in terms of skill they were supposed to mentor trainees in. I love Amber and she is a GREAT performer, but she is not a professional dancer, dancing is not her specialty and she is not known for it. There were too many trainees far better than her in the field. It was evident she was not much of help in terms of dancing, when all her mentor classes were about the feels and emotional delivery and not actually dancing.
Then we have Vin Zhou, again, an extremely talented guy, but he does not have enough rapping experience to be mentoring other trainees.
I have no idea what Ning Jing's purpose in the show was. All she did was react to performances exactly like the normal audience did. None of her comments were insightful and it was stuff a random fangirl would say: "you looked so handsome on stage" or "you improved so much"... How about giving some helpful advice?
God bless Charlie Zhou, since he was the only person who truly tried to help the trainees improve. His vocal classes were full of useful tips and exercises. He was able to "diagnose" the problems contestants had and help fix them.
Overall, I feel like the trainees were left to figure out most things alone, and not much mentoring was going on.
Another small thing that could be improved and would make a huge difference for the international audience is adding in the subtitles the name of the person who is currently talking. They did that in editing for the Chinese subs, but not for English. It's harder for international fans to remember the names, so I see no logic in not adding the names to the subs.
There were some technical aspects during the finale that I was not impressed with: the backing tracks were way too loud, so at times it was hard to actually hear the trainees' singing and rapping. The audio quality overall was not the best.
One last thing I want to talk about was Lelush. Poor boy. People love to talk about how cruel these types of shows are, but then the same people pull a stunt like they did with Lelush up till finale. Many people who voted for him gave some ridiculous excuses, but at the end of the day they simply did not respect his wishes and treated him like a child who needed to have his life dictated by fans.
Overall, it was a fun watch. I am curious about some trainees and their future project, will be checking out INTO1 works. The best part of the show were trainees, the worst: fans and the production. I'm not completely happy with the top 11, but that's how the shows roll, it's impossible to make everyone happy.

This is the best draft any idol show could ever produce, Love the island , vigorus, energetic theme
I watched many produce shows, and i watched this things all prequels, but for me this is the best, It was not dragy at all like this year ywy3 , i watched it on short time, and there was many thing they made, to showcase many trainess as thay can such as vlogs, are you an werewolf, etc . and i watched everything, and the theme song message was great, the choreography was great for my fat body , i am practising it everyday, lol you guys also should practise it.This year they had the strongest, vocals, strongest rapper, strongest comedians, strongest dancers and,the journey was so great that i wished every trainees should debut. The foreginer trainess and domestical trainess all were so great, i could name more than 55
i know many songs were great but some song were average, but many song showcase their abilities

This is the very first Chinese Idol/ Reality show that I’ve watched. I didn’t intend to watch it at the first place because I had this very bad habit of not following anything that is on trendy. At the time the show was attracting numerous of viewers, I actually felt quite annoyed whenever I saw news relating to it, partially because most of them were negative ones. It was not until the show had finished and my sister still kept talking about it that I decided to give Chuang 2021 a try. It was totally worth it! Below are the reasons why you should really watch the show:
* VISUAL (aka Handsome boys/ men of all varieties and many different nationalities)
If you are a girl and your life, unfortunately, lacks of good-looking males (like mine), this is the place for you.
** TALENTS
There were real talents in the show. Some could dance really well, others could sing really beautifully that they made your heart ached when you saw them on stage.
*** “CPs” and “FAMILIES”
There’s no arguing that this is a “reality” show and what’s on the screen might only be for the sakes of fandoms. Still, I’ve followed these guys (on social media) for a while and from what’ve seen so far, their relationships seem genuine. I do hope they stay good friends for many years to come, despite the darkness of the industry.
**** EXTRA MATERIALS.
I’m not sure if this is a positive or negative point. For me, it is a plus, because it means there were many things to watch besides the main episodes. Also, the personality of the trainees could be expressed more accurately through the way they interacted with their roommates, the games they played, the activities they participated in.
Still, I admit there were tons of flaws and they might put people off from watching it.
* SILLY FORMAT
There were so many strange things about the rules in this show which made me really mad.
First of all, I don’t get the whole point of dividing the students into different classes (A-F) if in the end the ones with a lot of fan votes would still end up in the top classes and didn’t get eliminated. It’s all about popularity level not actual talent or effort.
Also, the judges were completely useless in this show. They didn’t have any saying in the trainee’s ranking and didn’t get to give the trainees any extra points/ votes if they tried exceptionally hard or performed well. Most of their comments weren’t even constructive.
Finally, I didn’t like the Final round. It’s just messy and draggy. Instead of giving the finalists more time on their solo performances, they just ran through them like fast and furious!!! And why did they wait until the very very last moment to give the trainees the chance to do a live show?? It could have changed the result had people known how their picks really were on stage without the help of the producing teams.
** UNEQUAL SCREEN TIME
There were 90 trainees but only a dozen of them were featured. The rest totally disappeared and the viewers could hardly remember their names or face. If your “picks” got to be focused then lucky for you, yet if the ones you supported were on the “invisible list” (like me, sometimes), you would feel really sad for them.
*** STRANGE SONGS
There were good songs in the show but … about 70% of them were meeeee~ Or maybe it’s just me. I could hardly like the music in this show.
**** FILTER
I could forgive the other problems but I could not let this pass. The filter they used for this show was so terrible! It made all the trainees looked over-exposed with unnatural white skin and pink/ red/ orange lips. They actually looked much much better after they left the show. In fact, some of them look really nice without any make-ups or filters.
I could rant about the weird things in Chuang 2021 all day but ...
ANYWAYS
For me, Chuang 2021 would forever have a special place in my heart. It gave me a lot of joy during the time I had to stay home because of my injury, which is why I couldn’t judge as partially as one should. Despite its (soooo) many flaws, it didn’t stop me from watching the show and loving the idols coming from Chuang 2021.
With all the turbulent things going on, I wish all the best for the ones who got to debut and those who weren’t.

The best season!
This for me so far is the best season because the atmosphere is too good. I love it! But I don't like Ep 3, the first part of the first stage performance. If you have a good eye for talents and skillful trainees, you'll know what I meanDANCE
1. Rikimaru- You'll love his stage presence. When he dances? It's like the stage is him and I feel that he does it effortlessly that I keep replaying to watch him again ang again. I know it's tiring but like, it's like it's not, I cannot explain, lol. He has a very opposite version of himself, when he's off and on the stage. Off stage he is cute and shy and on the stage, when music starts? Dang, he's lit! He is a great dancer, choreographer and leader. He works hard a lot for the stage. During their first stage performance? He was the core of the team and I am amaze of him so much more.
2. Santa- everything in him screams "fire". I like his respect for the stage. I love both of them and Riki. When they are on stage you can see that they worked hard for it and they have years of experience. If Riki's the one who dances like it's effortless, Santa's someone who dances like it's no joke. When he dances, you know how much effort you must put to have such outstanding performance.
3. Liu Yu- I like him just like the previous two from the first eps. He's graceful and like, he has this calm presence on stage.
4. Bo Yuan, Yu Gengyin, Dai Shaodong- Correct me if I'm wrong, they performed together during the first eps and I am impressed by their performance.
VOCALS
1. Yu Yang- When he sings, it's like a pierce in my heart or like he rips it then tear it to pieces, lol. I love his originals, they came from somewhere so deep? I don't know where he dug them LMAO.
2. Bo Yuan- Love his version of-- the song with "butterfly" word? When he sang it, I was like-- Dang! Where did this man came from. So cool, at the same time emotional.
3. Jing Long- a man who became viral because of his singing in the tunnel? I'm just grateful that he was discovered because really... He sings nice.
RAP
1. Liu Zhang/AK- he has good personality and a good rapper. He's such a good friend and like a brother to Liu Zhang. I loved his first performance, his rap-- it was so honest.
2. Oscar- if you watch Chuang 2021? It would be impossible for you not to recognize him. He is one of the eye candies, omg. He has skill and talent as well, especially in rap.
OTHER TRAINEES I THINK ARE REALLY GOOD TOO
1. Hu Yetao
2. Zhang Xingte
3. Mika
4. Kazuma
5. Caelan

Most Refreshing Competition Show
One of the most entertaining idol competition shows I've watched. Positive vibes all around from the contestants to the judges. There is a greater focus on the contestants vs the judges, which I appreciated.Contestants: Maybe it's due to the editing, but the vibes were mostly positive. Contestants were encouraging each other instead of strictly viewing each other as competitors.
Talent: Talent level-wise is not close to the Korean produce series. In the Korean produce series, contestants were well-rounded in dancing and singing. That's not to say that the contestants in Chuang are not talented. The contestants in this season were extremely talented in one area and less so in the other.
Extra: Highly encourage viewers to watch the side shows as well (dorm diaries, are you werewolf, vlogs, etc.). This show is the rare exception where I could name most of the contestants (almost 100).

My 11 PickDance ?
1. Liu Yu - As of now, he seems to be the most popular trainee in the shows. Well, he can really dance well. I really admire his attitudes. I think he's my second ideal centre.
2. Santa - Most people might hate the ship thing however, chinese citizens can't easily like him even he's THAT talented because he's not a chinese. Don't worry, he'll surely make debut!
3. Zhang Jiayuan 4. Ren yipeng 5. Fu Sichao -- I haven't fully watched tco. these three have popularity since they just finished tco 5 months ago. 7. Nine- He's really cute and good at chinese! I hope he can make it through. His rank is a bit low.
Visual ?
8. Zhou Keyu- He's a actor and same company with Dilraba and wang yijin. He's my first pick. I know at some point he's not ready yet to debut. But i really like his stage centre present. That's why, he's my no. 1 pick even he's lacking in some areas. That's why, there's variety survival shows, isn't it for someone to improve? pls, pick him.
9. Hiroto - I don't know much about him but i'll pick him for now coz repos said that he's really good.
