A Classic??
Well this is one that's been flying under my radar for a long time because the synopsis left me cold. I finally decided to give it a try as so many people appreciate and recommend it.I managed to groan and skip my way to ep.13 before I just couldn't take any more.
The fact I made it this far is really a testament to Woo Bin and the main couples mothers.
Woo Bin brought at least some depth to his role as well some acting chops and
the relationship between the live in Mistress and the mute maid gave some much needed laugh out loud and some strangely sweet moments.
Lee Min Ho left me cold, I didn't care for his acting or his character and the chemistry between him and Park Shin Hye was so lacking I was genuinely surprised by the 'romance'. I thought I must have skipped the wrong bits but when the Romance montages came up at 'emotional' points I still felt puzzled.
Park Shin Hye was given a lemon and failed to make lemonade; though it would have taken a rare genius to make anything of Eun Sang. She was really just a 2D cipher for the male protagonists to do their rich kid cock measuring contest for whilst treating her as an object to be dragged and pushed wherever they wished. There were a couple of sparks of character at odd times but they were quickly extinguished.
Most of the side characters weren't on show enough for them to provide much relief.
Maybe it gets better over the last few episodes but.. who cares? Not I.
The music? ?
The story? Nothing new.
Acting/Cast? the few easily eclipse the many but not enough to save the day.
Rewatch? Only if they gather all the Mothers' moments into one video.

Same Old Story!
The casting for this series is impressive, filled with top actors. However, the story is nothing but a string of clichés—a typical setup featuring a Rich cool male lead, a doormat female lead, an arrogant second male lead, and an obsessive second female lead. You also have the cute secondary couple and the usual background actors. It’s like they threw in every cliché imaginable, making it feel very predictable and uninspired. Was this review helpful to you?

This review may contain spoilers
1. STORYSchool love thing, with a "Cinderella" and a gorgeous princess. And some more people around who want to have one of the two as their own lover. Romantic? Yes it is, definitely.
But there's some real thing in this unreal drama, business vs girlfriend, will one choose girlfriend instead? And if not, why does he have to choose so?
But it needs more, I don't know, but really, it needs more to reach "good".
2. ACTING/ CAST
Park Shin Hye, Lee Min Ho, Krystal, Kim Woo Bin... Too much for a girl like me.
3. MUSIC
Great! I love the OST
5. REWATCH VALUE
Maybe I'll rewatch it, for some romantic scenes only.
6. OVERALL (SPOILERS - SORRY FOR POSTING SPOILERS)
Why Kim Tan fell for Eun Sang that easy?
Why I feel like Young Do with Eun Sang more than Kim Tan with Eun Sang?
Why in the last episode they don't make it real but just imaginations?

i also learned many things from it like if you want to reach something, some times you need to let other things go( kim tan"s brother could reach the place he wanted but at the end instead he lost the one he loved )
and the actors also did well in the drama and ofcourse the music was just so perfect.
leeminho and kim woo bin became my favorite actors after the heirs <3
i dont khow about you guys but the heirs is my most favorite drama :)))
and for the ones who say why leeminho always plays the 18th year old boy in his dramas ,he isnt! havent you see city hunter and faith and gangnam blues and... yet?! so plz dont speak
and any ways why cant he?! there are too many other actors who play an 18th year old boy like lee jong suk and...
he has a baby face so he can act like a teenager .

The play on coincidence did not look cute to me but it could’ve been because I sensed no chemistry between the leads. It was never clear why the male lead liked the female lead, it was somewhat like he was forced by the director and he was full on stalker mode in many different scenes. Their first kiss scene was far from romantic and could be classed as sexual abuse.
The show featured pretty much every Korean drama trope one can think off. A few examples; rich boy and poor girl, awkward kisses, boy has a big family secret, the mean rich girl has unrequited love for rich boy, the second lead falls in love with lead girl and changes but of course we know that doesn’t go well at all, both leads live in the same house, family against the relationship, elite school contained of arrogant rich kids, the female lead is the only poor girl, and I could go on but I think I’ve said too much already.
I don’t know why this drama had such high ratings. I can say for sure that I will never finish this drama. But let’s end on a positive note. The OST was good and it may have helped me to watched up to the point I stopped. I recommend this for research purposes only, to study a drama featuring every trope.

A wasted opportunity
I wasn't sure about watching this drama, I'm not really a big fan of Lee Minho acting after watching him in The King but I was curious about the rest.It started kind of interesting, despite that atrocious depiction of U.S. people in LA but I have come to expect this in k-dramas, lol
The story was filled with cliches and I was about to quit but then is like someone said... It's like a drug and although you hate it you aren't able to stop.
The main leads were pretty plain, I confess I liked Lee Minho more than in The King and I got really emotional in some scenes but those two were pretty boring. I'm sure I'll forget about them very soon.
I was rooting for Yeong-do at the end, I think he had the best character development of them all. Won was great at the end too but maybe they could have done even better. The relationship between Kim Tan and Eun Sang mom was hilarious and heartwarming and the group of friends, although many interactions were pointless and the humor didn't work most times, Bo-na and Chan Yeong were the cutest.
Overall, I expected more of everything. I wish it hadn't been so cliche, that it could have been memorable. I expected more about the power dynamics, at the end, the story with the father got really boring and it sorts of gives a happily ever after vibe that seems unrealistic.
One final point about the OST, sadly, along with The King, this is another drama where the songs don't transmit me anything.
