Nice series with some great value
Dance an debt what an odd combination but it worked. Same for both actors. An odd combination but it worked. The story also portrayed the differences in culture Asian and the modern/western issues of life well. There are many issues of modern life and also some old time Asian issues in the relationship. I guess it's compliment when the reviewer wants short series to be longer. Bravo to all. The actors the writers producers. Why was it cold inside? Is that something that is supposed to be normal. ? I was not sure. Was this review helpful to you?
Every second isn't wasted.
I watched many BL kdramas in the past few weeks and I got very disappointed in the execution of the storyline of most of them. This kind of genre is very limited in time and the storyline must be kept solid. This drama is my top 3 among the 10+ BL kdramas I have watched. This is also one of my top favorites among all dramas (all genres) based on how the story is fitted in the whole series. Every second isn't wasted. Every scene isn't rushed and prolonged. I also like that the story focuses on the relationship between 2 main leads. The director and other important personnel perfectly did their job on what is necessary within the 8 episodes.
Must watch!

The butterflies in my stomach are happily dancing as well
Among the several short Korean BLs that I’ve watched, this one definitely stood as one of the top. I am amazed to see a concept of a debtor and collector that can be turned into such romantic storytelling. In the span of eight mini-episodes, I am totally satisfied and enjoyed it a lot.The red thread of fate, their home, the feeling of being alone, the podcast, and the things that connect them have executed cleverly. These elements make the drama emphasize that little things can be someone’s big part of life. Both of them are used to being alone but didn’t admit feeling lonely not until they hit them one day. I just wished that the story may also look why Mr. Loan Shark didn’t finish college. Although, the show gives us a hint regarding him used to play piano in the past.
The big reason why I am head over heels from this drama is simply because of how fascinating the main leads are; both in their visual physique and their excellent acting performances. Choo Young Woo playing the role of the debtor Song Shi On has explicit the quality of being a fully prepared actor. His dancing skill was really great and helps the show to be uplifted since the title itself talks about dancing. He was also cute in expressing his facial gestures when having a moment with his love partner.
On the other hand, I fell in love with Won Hyun Hoong’s role as Jin Hong Seok -the handsome debt collector. He is so sexy! The way he acts as a cold and stiff guy is so manly but it will make you scream every single time you see him smiling and being fluffy. His face totally wins it but becomes more excitingly attractive the moment he showcases his physical build, I lose it and Oh My Goodness! In short, he captured my heart.
Both of them have a strong chemistry that made them such a perfect couple. I don’t feel any kind of cringe moments or awkwardness from their romantic scenes, unlike how I usually feel from some Korean BLs. The characteristics of the role they portray really fits like it was their own. Indeed, an ultimate act from two gorgeous boys.
And yes, they’re kissed several times! Probably beat some on-screen kisses from various famous Korean shows in history hahaha. I am exaggerating this because THEY ARE REALLY GREAT. Those intimate, arousing, inviting, gratifying, and full of hotness kissing scenes. The bed scene they did was short but intense, I repeated it several times. Till now, I keep replaying it from my mind hahahaha.
My only regret from watching this show is me deciding to watch it too late. I hated myself for ignoring it before but am still grateful that I managed to binge-watch the whole episodes in one sitting. You Make Me Dance is the short Korean BL that makes me feel well-pleased for a show once again.
Highly Recommended for someone who is looking for a light yet meaningful romantic love story.

Dance away
This drama was okay, I liked that it was mature. However it a slow start and it feel like it was dragging out.The story was not well excuted, i just feel that the story line should have been a bit balanced out, and made more interesting, the actors were not bad, but they lack chemistry. Its one of those drama you could watch if have a couple of hours of bordem, and need to pass time.
The one good thing about this drama was the music, it was really good, and often came in atbthr right time.
Also I didn't get to see thatb much dancing, from the name inwas really expecting some footloose or flash dance, but instead we got snapshots of a made routine that didn't seem to go with the story line, also who on earth runs through snow barefoot, and not get frost bite? Or get cold period, his feet must have made of ice or something. Why did the mother abandoned him, it just felt like they are more question than answers.

+ The acting: It's not phenomenal, but especially Choo Young Woo did a great job imho. The emotional scenes were great. Won Hyung Hoon is a bit stiff sometimes, but (!) I think that's also part of the character he plays. So overall it was totally fine.
+ the music: nice to hear. Doesn't get annoying. Lyrics are beautiful and matching to the story.
+ the humour: not a lot of scenes to laugh, but here and there the little nagging is amusing.
+ short intro.
+ Some dramas repeat a lot of the previous episode in the beginning of the next episode. Here they just repeat a small bit of the scene, that's nice.
What I don't like/Room for improvement:
- the plot has a lot of room to improve. I feel like a lot of KDrama with 8 episodes around 10-15 minutes just lack good writing. The ideas are always great, but the writing is so bad. It doesn't explain the whole story and I am always left with some open questions. It wouldn't take much to just explain this few things! u.u
- the kisses were not that bad. Not totally deadfish. But could be better. Still enjoyable.
I wouldn't rewatch the show, but it's fine for watching it one time. I wasn't bored at all, although I wasn't fully invested in the story either. But if you are through almost every really good KDrama and don't have anything else top tier to watch, it's totally okay go watch this. :D

#1 Korean BL Drama
I just hope I can also find my little finger someday in a bus or a train station. I hope we will be enemies so he can fall in love with me too. Hong Seok and Shi On inspire me to wait and let the world make the person whose at the end of my redstring to find me. But I'm sure in one thing, HE CAN'T NEVER MAKE ME DANCE because my feet are both left. You will never regret to give up your time watching it because I just realized that this drama series are WORTH FOR MY TIME than worrying about my GPA. I really want to live in rooftop because maybe I can also find my person. Was this review helpful to you?
People Can Improve if they are Caring and Honest
The two main leads were mind blowing must see either in more dramas. Don't miss this , it's not the typical Gay moves but a story where sincere responses to daily life and survival depicting a better way to behave to anyone who is either going through hard times but continues their has heartfelt dreams. The director should also be praised I only wish it had been longer. A complete story was told so you wont miss anything important.
For your sakes watch it even just to try and prove me wrong. 100% TOPS

Simplicty! This seris is good already, but theres still a lot of potential !
I actually watched it back in 2021 but i rewatchit again, and yes this series still on my chart list in K-BL drama along side with Love Tractor, Semantic Error & The New Employee !Story : Simple not too much, altough this series was actually very short! Its still worth to watch !!
OST : I gave it 8/10 !!!
Cast/Acting : 2 Male Leads delivers so well!! Especially Woo Tae Min, he def. carried the whole show!! The character is so perfect for him !! (I wish he had another main character in a BL again T_T)

Uh
Before I start my lil rant, lemme clarify this : You Make Me Dance is not a bad drama, just not my kind of drama. With that being said, I still have to honestly say that I believe my already low IQ dropped a lot after watching all the eight short episodes. The plot was ridiculous, and the plotholes were so blatantly in my face. The cheesiness was full on from the first till the last episodes. I get that it was a short drama, but it felt like they couldn't care less about telling a story that makes sense.
Lemme point out the things that didn't work for me:
1. The debt premise. - The debtor lived in a fancy house and didn't even have any real job to sustain himself - he simply danced his heart out, hoping that his debt will magically disappear. Why oh why?
2. The hurt leg. - Someone intentionally hurt your leg, an important part of your body that your entire life depended on, and voila you simply let them walk away freely from you without even getting angry at them? Mind you, you don't even deserve it in the first place and didn't even get as much as an apology from it.
3. The I'll push my beloved away and hurt their feelings and be cold just because I gotta go somewhere far. What kind of bs is this in this modern era?!
4. The fancy house and the lack of job. Dude, if you were really that struggling with money, find sth less fancy to live in and get a freaking job!
5. The tied legs. Dude, use your hands and freaking undo it instead of hopping around like an idiot!
There were many others but I'm too tired to type them all out.
And I think the acting was pretty bad for a Kdrama with unnatural scenes playing throughout the 8 episodes.

Homophobia
Why do these actors do such a beautiful job on these scripts where there may be some gay content and then afterwards they become homophobic and ruin the whole aspect of it?He did a wonderful job in this show why did he have to become homophobic afterwards?
He should not get 10 stars even though he was a 10 star actor because afterwards he became homophobic and trashed his reputation as a result.

Love from different worlds
This plot is very unique and well-executed. I enjoyed every part of it. Hong Seok and Shi On are from different worlds and have completely different lives but despite that, they managed to fall in love and I think that teaches an important lesson. Love is a crazy thing and it can happen in any situation, even between a debtor and a contractor. The drama is very fluffy and it's nice to watch given that it's very short. There was not a single awkward moment in the series, which is a very nice break from some of the mainstream BLs. It's a short and sweet drama, the leads have excellent chemistry and the acting is on point, and the story is very different and doesn't adhere to many tropes, and even the visuals are beautiful, so I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a short series to binge.
