Dropped it after watching second episode

this is not related to 1st season
the main character is different Mun from dickless dimension
Mun moved on from his crush on HANA because his dick got chopped off while jerking off

and he become a cheap copy of Superman without dick.
he is so powerful that he moved on without any reason.
HANA is now like his sister, who stare at there sisters butt in season one, of that Mun isn't this mOOn

Most of Korean drama confuse sister and girlfriend because OPPA is used for both husband and brother
DO the don't know the difference between brother and boyfriend or they don't have a word for brother because to them both are same

This is so disappointing. I'm heartbroken that I have to drop this.

The Uncanny Counter is proudly one of the best k-dramas I've watched and I even recommend it to everyone that asks but this Season 2 is utterly disappointing. The depth from Season 1 is just gone out of the window. The characters also kind of downgraded from their complex back stories from Season 1, they became a boring backdrop. It doesn't even feel like a team fight than they first started. Jeokbong became a laughing mascot. Like wth? I heard the writer changed but this is super sad and disappointing. I think I'd rather read the webtoon version than finishing this.

This is is one of the rare instance of me having to drop a series because the story is getting draggy and I just know there's a low chance of it getting better. But I am hoping I'd pick this up again in the future and possibly give it a second chance.

Not on Par with the Prequel

Keeping up with its popular first edition, “The Uncanny Counter Season 2” truly packs a punch with upgraded versions of both the protagonists and antagonists. With evil spirits pooping right and left, our favorite gang of Counters have been training their psychokinesis skills, under the able leadership of So Moon. The show has been in making for almost three years and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases in 2023. With a casting that is comparatively bigger than the prequel, “The Uncanny Counter Season 2” delivers on its promise of some exciting demon hunting coupled with the effervescent familial love that is so typical of this show. Doing a short rehash of the prequel, The Uncanny Counter (adapted from the webtoon “Amazing Rumor” (경이로운 소문) by Jang Yi (장이) describes the story of evil spirit hunting heroes who are known as Counters. Each of them have different abilities and they are paired with their afterlife counterparts who exist in Yung (the boundary between the afterlife and the world of the living). The first season was well received and as such, the anticipation for the sequel has been building since then.

You just need a different oerspective to understand the writer and the cast or the plot.

So it was a great watch to me.Unlike other reviews ,my review is little different and you might find it off the track. So So Mun in the first season was fighting his own battles and that is what held the story more and as there were more dangerous humans than evil spirits,it was always So Mun and the counters having the plus point and that is why season 2 was important. As there is no plot regarding the college life of So Mun,the story will be considered draggy due to thewhole focus tied on evil spirits. And as there are more evil humans possessed by evil spirits ,that is what make them stronger and put counters at the negative point.Therecan be no comparison of te both season,as the whole situation and whole plot is way different in both the seasons, the fight in the first one is physically intriguing but the fight in the second one is mentally remarkable and commendable. And as it contains the darker element, the mental or the fight within oneself is the more justifiable upcoming plot after season 1.It was a great watch and understandable efforts made it more powerful.

Fantastic

I loved season one and this second season was great and really brought out the emotions as well. It really shows how you should not give up on someone until the very end. Yes, I used several tissues during this season!

I love this cast. They developed some new powers and got a new counter! And what a unique power the new counter has! And, my Lord, when did Mun get so attractive? He’s maturing in the best way possible.

The writers did an amazing job with the story. I hope there is another season.

What a let down

I can’t say much about other people’s opinions but I’m pretty sure some people are just rating everything 10.

I liked the first season. There was an awkward charm to the show, especially, while the main character was becoming a counter. The new season has no charm. They, obviously, tried hard to be cool and edgy but ended up just being cheesy and angsty. The main villains… major sigh.

The new addition to the counter was downright annoying to watch. I get that he’s a country bumpkin and he’s new but he was so whiny and stupid, it was hard to watch. This has to be a career killer for the actor. It’s a shame.

Trying to one up a popular season must be hard and I empathize but I’m not feeling it for this season.

BEST SHOW EVER

I LOVE THIS, WE WAITED FOR SEASON 2 FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. IT'S SO GOOD AND THE ACTORS HAVE GROWN SO MUCH AND THEY FEEL LIKE FAMILY. I REWATCHED SEASON ONE 6 TIMES AND THERE IS NO DOUBT I'LL REWATCH THIS SEASON ALSO. THE PLOT, THE ACTING, AND THE FILMING ARE JUST IMMACULATE AND THEY CAN'T BE TOPPED. THE STORY IS TOP-TIER AND HASN'T BEEN DONE BEFORE. IT'S NOT CRINGEY AND IT'S FUNNY AND SERIOUS AT THE SAME TIME. THEY KNOW HOW TO BALANCE THE EPISODES AND IT'S JUST SATISFYING. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS JUST PERFECT. I DON'T THINK ANY SHOW CAN TOP IT AT ALL

One of the best kdrama I’ve seen so far!!

First of all, the acting is absolutely impressive and the way they’re all so implied in the story it makes it even more suspending! Every single episode is worth to watch and it shows how the characters progress together, the power of their friendship and how they grow even more powerful each day.
Secondly, every single character has an important role in the serie and everyone is special in their own ways, I like the fact that every character has a different but special personality that belongs to them only, it’s something I can’t really explain but if you guys watched the whole serie you’ll understand. Hoping for season 3??

Power of Faith and Redemption!

Once again, “The Uncanny Counter 2” does not fail to disappoint. While I feel that the first season was stronger overall, the second season is solid and a lot of fun as the counters take on new evils and new challenges.

The first season had more of a mystery and thriller element to the story, which actually made for more captivating and taut storytelling. This season’s themes are about faith, trust, and redemption.

Things start off when three high-powered evil spirits slaughter the Chinese counters and take their powers and abilities. Psychokinesis is one of the prevailing skills, and So Mun—who is the only counter to master this ability—is trying to teach his teammates with hilarious results. Uncanny Counter still has plenty of humorous moments, especially from Mo-Tak.

So Mun is not only the most powerful counter, he also seems to have taken on the leadership role of the team. So Mun’s greatest strength is his unswerving faith in people and never giving up on them even under the most dire circumstances. In short, So Mun doesn’t hesitate to act even when the odds are stacked against him, even from Yung itself.

Do Ha-Na is a bit more loose in this season. She smiles a bit more, perhaps because she was finally able to let go of her past from the first season. Do Ha-Na also finds a potential love interest, but her strength is to be with and protect others at all costs. She painfully puts her love interest’s livelihood above her own desires, and when Mo-Tak storms off, she goes with him even though she doesn’t agree with his decision. “I’ll never leave any of you alone,” she tells him.

Ms. Chu, of course, is the caring, nurturing teammate, and she also meets up with a young man from her past with the hopes of helping him.

Mo-Tak is still the fierce warrior of the team who has no “quit” in him, and there are some tense moments between him and So Mun. And Mo-Tak can always be relied upon for some of the funniest moments.

Jeok Bong is the newest member of the team. He’s a bit goofy and his “special” ability is to literally smell evil spirits and being able to track them down. I’ll admit that it’s an odd thing, and I believe is played more for laughs as Jeok Bong is often seen with his head out of the car window—much like a dog—sniffing the air.

This season sees a beloved friend in Ma Ju Seok, whose beautiful, young pregnant wife is murdered by the three evils spirits. Absolutely distraught and overcome with grief, Ma Ju Seok swears revenge. His rage is so consuming that he unwittingly opens himself up for possession by a truly sadistic spirit. It doesn’t take long for Ma Ju Seok to begin wreaking havoc as he tries to track down anyone and everyone responsible for his wife’s death. Even his beloved friends, the counters, are warned to stay out of his way or face the consequences.

Hwang Pil Gwang is the leader of the evil spirits whose sole purpose is to kill So Mun and steal his powers to add them to his own. He manipulates Ma Ju Seok by sending him off in the wrong direction to seek his vengeance.

Sometimes the monster created is far worse than the despair we feel due to the loss of a loved one. The Chinese saying, “Before seeking revenge, you must first dig two graves” is especially poignant here. We can understand, and perhaps even relate to Ma Ju Seok’s grief and rage, but he’s so blinded and consumed by revenge, that he threatens to destroy everything that his beloved wife stood for. I found it interesting that nobody attempted to tell him this; he was destroying his wife's memory and their love. Would she really have approved of his actions? Of course not.

As Ma Ju Seok continues to gain in power—mostly due to Hwang Pil Gwang’s influence, the counters are forced to ask the hard question: do they try to save Ma Ju Seok, or kill him? Even Yung believes that Ma Ju Seok must be eliminated, and for a time, So Mun stands alone because he still believes that Ma Ju Seok can be redeemed. And, of course, So Mun finds a way to do the unthinkable and the uncanny, and thus live up to his namesake. In short, it is So Mun’s faith in the goodness of his friend, that ultimately saves Ma Ju Seok.

There are plenty of tense action sequences and several that put you on the edge of your seat because you couldn’t help wondering if we might lose one of the counters. We’ve all come to love these characters, from their humorous moments to the obvious love and devotion that they feel for each other, to learning how to overcome their differences and obstacles in order to work together. Such is the hallmark of a true family.

The uncanny counter: Counter punch

When I saw the news that we will get a second season I was so happy. I really love this characters and how well they match each other.
Somun's hair just perfect, I am curious if we get season 3 with his orange hair.
I really like plot and new villains, ending was good. I am not sure if I needed more episodes or if this was perfect amount, but I had great time watching this.
The only thing I wish had happened was Somun and Do Hana, I am 100% team Somun, I am sorry but I do not feel any chemistry between Dohwi and Do Hana, it is more like just one last thing from her past so it just reminds her good all days so I do not see any reason for them to create new relationship. Somun and Do Hana's hug scene was everything.

Best kdrama оf 2023!!

I waited for season two for 3 years but the wait was worth it!! Great drama! Season two was quite different from season one, but it was still great! This time the villains were much more evil than season one! Byung Kyu's (Soo Moon) hair was wow! This season we saw a complete glow up on the counters! Soo Moon is no longer a child, but the ace of the counters! And the OST of the drama is much better than last season's OST! Awesome music! and the fact that Cho Byеоng Kyu did most of the action stunts himself is just phenomenal! All the action scenes are brutally cool much better than season one! Great kdrama! I will definitely watch it again and again! Highly recommend!
