Brutally horrible drama ahead.

The salacious nature of the bondage plot-line is supposed to be the titillation to draw watchers into this drama. Unfortunately, it was just another cringe-trending moment, to mask a really badly produced drama. There should be hate, joy, love, and lust among the mains triangle, but, with no chemistry to speak of between all three mains. The characters couldn't rub a real feeling moment between them if they'd tried.

Everything, was flat, even the side characters appear to have no lasting purpose. The editing was off; the story was all-over-the-place; the characters made no sense; leads had no chemistry; so brutally horrible I stayed for the bad-drama cult-film aspect. Will I recommend it to the rest of you? Certainly, not. If you proceed under the guise of 'bad cinema' - Deities help you.

Plotline isn't the best but there is a depth if you look for it, and the cast made it work.

While I can't say I'm a diehard fan of Mik Thongraya, I have found that he's one of the actors whose lakorns I've watched the most over the years. With each of his dramas in which he's the main male lead, he's gotten better and better at portraying his characters and 'Gun' is no exception. Yes, Gun comes off as temperamental but when the viewer is able to grasp his view on life, his internal struggles, and his insecurities I would say that Mik has captured all the complexities there is to "Gun".
Gun married his ex-wife for love and devotion, what he got in the long run was an ambitious, unsatisfied, and self-serving woman who used their child to tug at his heartstrings at every turn. "Gun" is probably one of Mik's most emotional characters to date considering the events that has transpired upon 'Gun's' failed first marriage and how he now views the world and those around him.

This is the first lakorn I've watched starring Pupe Kessarin and the young lady has heart in spades. 'Wimala' isn't the strongest character out there in lakorn land and has a tendency to want to run away from her problems (at least once) but her compassion for those around her, especially 'Gun', can melt any ice-cold glacier. I would say that Pupe Kessarin is one of the young Thai female actresses today that can make good use of the line, "Eyes are Windows to the Soul". You can tell when 'Wi' is stubborn, and you can definitely tell when she's in love and when she is compassionate or passionate about someone or something. Pupe can convey her emotions at the drop of a hat and when those tears begin to flow, boy do they flow. Her being so pretty is just a bonus, on her good days, she's a Thai version of a young and fresh-faced Katie Holmes. On her best days with full face makeup and complete styling, she's a young and pouty lipped, Thai Jessica Alba, at least, for me. I like Pupe a lot and will definitely look out for her and her works in the future.

Mik and Pupe's onscreen chemistry as 'Gun' and 'Wi" isn't the 'firecracker loud, toot their horn and bust out the champagne, let's celebrate,' kind, but at the same time, it's soul deep and soul stirring. Every time they stare into each other's eyes, I get butterflies and my heart melts for them. Wi has all the qualities Gun was looking for in a life partner. Something he was denied of, with his first wife in the long run. Every time Gun's eyes go soft for Wi and every time she stares back at him in wonder within their most intimate moments, "The Little Mermaid's" song, 'Kiss the Girl' plays in my head. LOL. (Mik has gotten so much better with expressing emotions through his eyes in this lakorn that's why!) 'Gun' is endearing when he wears his heart on his sleeve. He gets to be the kid at the candy store instead of the businessman, once bitten twice shy and it's a bonus that only 'Wi' could summon up that 'soft look' from him. I like how 'Wi' is very compassionate with 'Gun' when his demons come out to wreak mental havoc with him and is able to calm him down, even in the times that she doesn't fully understand, giving him a safe place to fall back on. Mik and Pupe's onscreen chemistry didn't feel like a lightbulb. When 'Gun' and 'Wi' were hurt, angry, confused, frustrated, sad, happy, or deeply in love with one another, it shows, and it is felt. (It isn't just, "Okay, it's a love scene!" "Done! Now turn off the emotions...)

Where to start with Preaw? She's definitely beautiful. This is probably not her first drama that I've seen but I don't recall them by name. However, if a woman can make you hate her antagonist character with every fiber of your being... (no, not for her need and addiction to inflicting pain upon herself and enjoying harsh measures of BDSM as a bedside manner) but how she plans everything out to serve herself and her wellbeing...then Preaw did her job as 'Orn' very, VERY well. I mean to be able to stir up enough compassion in 'Wi' to where she wanted to give you back your 'ideal family' because she also feels your ex-husband's pain of separation of from his child, even at the sacrifice of her own happiness is saying a lot. I hate 'Orn' with a passion and now, if Preaw were to have a future protagonist role, I don't think I can watch and not feel 'Orn' lurking somewhere in the depths. Hahaha.

The push and pull of the threesome in this somewhat emotionally heavy lakorn is, as tense and volatile it should be.

SoWayree 1 Couple: (Special Appearances)

Honestly, Kem and Mookda have major chemistry but SW1 was not able to draw my attention for the long haul (just parts and certain episodes), however after their couple appearance in BW, I may go back and watch cause Parin and Mita together, are cute, and have grown so much as a couple and are a lot wiser in here. :)

I can tell a lot of thought went into the plotline to make it all come together and connect even with SW1 but feel as if still a lot more could have been done to give this lakorn more substance, overall.

For the major lakorn fails, I must say it's all in the technicalities for me. For example, when 'Wi' gets her arm grazed by a bullet and lies on the hospital bed gazing at a snoozing in the chair 'Gun'. In order for her to get a better look at him and process her thoughts about him, she turns to her side. Her injured arm side, LOL. Or when Mik as 'Gun' has done more than a few takes of carrying Pupe as 'Wi' and has sweat stains under his arms and it shows in the final cut that makes it through to the episode. >.<
(I must say, Mik sweats very easily. >.<)
Or how if you pay attention, you can tell that some scenes that go together in an episode was shot at different time periods because of state of the ladies' acrylic nails including style and color. Hahaha...yes, I have some invested interest in how films are made.

My final thoughts are that while Buang Wimala isn't for everyone, it's here for those who are willing to give it a go. No lakorn is Perfect in my viewer experience but I can't think of better actresses and actors to play the said roles in this lakorn. I also want another go with the Mik-Pupe Love Team. As this is their first work as a love team, I definitely feel and see potential there for further development if and when they are given the opportunity to work together again. In all of Mik's lakorns concerning his opposite lead, I feel as if I've not seen him be able emote so much with his eyes, until now. If and when I watch this lakorn again, it will be for the cast chemistry and the soundtrack, for sure.

Petition to ask for shows like this to be blacklisted to save mankind

Wish I could give this one a negative rating for my loss of brain cells. It must take quite a lot of hard work to make such a parody of a show that it can be used as an example of how to waste money, manpower and time (for the makers as well as people like me who are stupid enough to watch it, only redemption for me if that I at least watched in x2 speed and ff a lot during the show).

Like how did they pitch this show to producers? "It's about a crazy SnM lady who goes on a killing spree and has a kill count of 5 by the end of the show, Let's mislabel it as a revenge romance to fool unsuspecting audience and throw in good looking people to disguise plot holes bigger then the ozone gap in the 80s." I want to also ask the Producer Khun if he/she has a lot of money? I would be happy to take some off your hands, it's a better cause than this crap that you have invested in, you seem to like throwing money away, I am more than happy to volunteer as a recipient if it will mean that you don't 'invest' in such projects again and spare mankind from polluting more. Lets go green and save the plant!

It is better than expected as I saw the negative review and thought it will be very bad, but it was actually good. I was so into the drama and storyline in the beginning, and know right away that if it start off very good then it could also go bad halfway. So, I did pray for the drama not to get bad halfway because I really want to continue to like it.

At first, I felt very bad for the male lead because his love always get rejected. I felt even more bad when he finally want to give up and kneel. He started to cry as he got betrayed by almost everyone, then start apologizing to the female lead for kidnapping her. That scene is one of the saddest scene in the drama. The music, scenery, and weather was so perfect at that moment.

What I don't like halfway is that after the male lead and female lead finally settle, it became twisted again. The male lead has trust issue and it's understandable. The female lead was so bad at solving the problem and only know how to runaway. One time she trust him, and then the other time she doesn't trust him. So basically, they both have trust issue with bad communication. They both only know how to lie or keep the problem to themselves, they both don't know how to communicate with each other and to be honest with each other. Still, the chemistry was great!. I still like them both together.

Overall, didn't regret watching it. It was better than expected!

Why I watch it?
First, because I watched so wayree so I think, I must watch the sequel, beside that Kem-mook make appearance in this sequel. I find the synopsis is a little bit spicy where a villain is depicted have masochist abnormality. I want to see how far the villain will be going crazy and I want to know what the background story about th villain too (I like Preaw too, btw). This is my first lakorn watching Pupe btw.

1. Story
If You root to synopsis, You can find that it clearly has angst plot. Noted, watching angst lakorn is not something for finding funny moment. Gun has lost interest about love because of the betrayal of his ex-wife but after He wet Wimala, He could open his heart again. Gun has enemy related his bussiness and about his ex who wanted to take half of his asset after the divorce. Kan and Orn (ex-wife) haven't finished their divorce legally. Orn used Wimala to steal the prove of Orn's embezzlement in Gan's company. Wimala has no choice to obey Orns's order because her Mother was sick and need money to get treatment.
(+)The story development has quick paced and not too draggy in my opinion.
(-)Lakorn has lack of detail story.

Romance:
The development chemistry between the FL and ML is like a roller coaster. Gun seem easily fall in love to Wimala. He has attached his heart to Wimala easily. Wimala didn't seem to have feeling to Gun. For the beginning of their chemistry, it looked a like only Gun who is the one who crazy falling in love and Wimala just accepted what Gun has offered to her. It likes she could accepted Gun because Gun first who love her. But after some episodes, I could see that Wimala begin to fall in love to Gun, though still Gun more dominant. I feel like Wimala fear if she attached her heart to Gun easily she would be disapointed and frustrated even after finding Gun is not as bad as Orn said.
Beside that I think somehow, Gun forgot that He is a widowed and He has a daughter. Normally for the first, Gun should introduce Wi first to Nong Pim but contrary, Gun marry Wi first before introduce her to his Daughter (though I know why Gun have to marry Wi first).
I think Orn is purely evil and she just obsessed to Gun. Unfortunately, She had lack of background why she became the evil one. I will agree if She is called psycho. It will be better if the story added why Orn have disgusting behavior like that. She has no feeling to Marut and Alex but She easily did it with them. I think, earlier She really fall in love to Gun but unfortunately She is unsatisfied what Gun has done to her, even Gun has followed her 'abnormality' behavior.
If You compare the love story Wi-Gun and Prin-Mitha in this lakorn it will be so much contrary.

Drama:
I like the story because the misunderstanding between Gun and Wi don't get too far and long. Still the misunderstanding was happened but it isn't too draggy. But Gun is more quite dramatic and He acted more hurt than Wimala. For the Wi's background story could be said hard enough. She is like a illegitimate daughter but she is still respect and appreciate to her father. I found it is quite rare in drama if the character was born from illegitimate relationship of the parent but still can be good to the parent. Gun has solo life. At least, they should explained a little about Gun's family background even though without flashback.

2. Acting and Character
Pupe as Wimala: Wimala has decent and brave character. She is not the doormat and she could against if she was bullied. She is not standing for something who is easily to lose. But unfortunately, I feel Wimala somehow forced to fall in love to Gun, She did it to not really from heart. The development of her character is seem how finally she could attach her heart sincerely to Gun.
Pupe's acting is not bad. Especially because She has been promoted almost as a nang'ek ofc She has to develop her acting skill for her good.

Mik as Gun : Gun's character is hot temper guy. His mood can be like a roller coaster. I think Gun is really possessive and protective. I could feel when He was throwing his temper. He seems bad because of this . But, it can be understandable for me. In lakorn world, I have met many pra'ek with hot temper character so Gun is not the first. I still enjoyed to follow it. Gun has reason why he is like that at least. I like so much when He took care of Nong Pim. He is such a lovely father but somehow I don't understand why He is more reckless if it came to Wimala.
For Mik's acting, I gave 89/100. He is fit to that kind of character. Before, I have watched him in comedy genre and He is fit too but suprisingly, hot temper Guy is no different, even fit more. I like how his eye could talk about falling in love. I can see clearly, Gun's gaze to Wimala is really someone who is falling in love.

Preaw as Orn: Orn is really pure evil. She didn't have background story why she has slut behavior, especially when She wanted to exploit the Guys. She is so manipulative and very greedy. But, actually She is a good mother but unfortunately because of her obsession, She falls into her own trap. The writer should add the background story of Orn.
Preaw's acting is almost perfect. I gave her 95/100. I cried when she cried thougg she was the one who is creating the mess. I cried when She remembered about her happiness day with Gun and when She cried because She felt guilty after Nong Pim was accidentally shot. Preaw is more fit to be villain actually.

3. Music:
The OST have represented the drama itself. So far, I enjoyed all of OST in the lakorn

4. Rewatch value
I don't have plan to rewatch the story for the beginning after ending.

5. Overall
(+) I can still endure to watch this kind of story. I don't really feel it's too draggy but still, it has dramatic aspect.
(+) If you want throw your emotion, You can watch this one especially the scenes when Gun angry and ofc watching Orn's manipulative action
(+) However, the story is very complicated and there is additional guest role but it's still the story about wimala and Gun.
(-) I admitted the side story couple is more romantic and more have chemistry, so somehow the main couple is like a side couple.
(-) The story can be better if the writer explain the detail of story and add the background story of each main characters.

My other opinions:
-Parin and Mitha just know wimala but they acts like they know Wimala almost all over her live, I think it's quite unreasonable -because they just barely know each other even though they are siblings.
-It's not perfect lakorn but I see nothing wrong to this kind of story. Maybe because I have high tolerable to watch angst lakorn. I still recommend this lakorn.
-The one of the weakness of production whom I cannot tolerate is related the special effect especially when fire scenes. Please, it is very big no.

Just like any other lakorn but superb chemistry and I don’t understand the bad reviews as no woman was disrespected nor was there any harassment. even d other couple had good chemistry. Definitely a must watch. Want to see this couple together again.
The story was not very new but d negative characters was also potrayed nicely. She had some psychological issues which was well potrayed. Overall it looked good like a side story of so wayree and nice that they keep helping the story. Such a huge star cast deserves good reviews. Lots of romance also which was genuine and not forced. Don’t invest if you get angry easily

At first I wasn’t going to pick this up but then I saw actress Nita so I decided to continue even if she is a side character . I also see why some people have issues with this lakorn . Here is why I gave it a rating of 7.5 . I think the actors are great but some parts of the story is kinda repetitive the male lead doesn’t listen and that’s what angers me . I also really dislike the female leads mom so much that I wanted to teleport so many times into the tv and slap them of course the evil ex too. The good thing that this lakorn has is that it’s dramatic and it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what’s next . If you are into that this drama is just for you . The side stories are also good and there are so many good characters like Aunt Nat ,Itt , Parin and Mita and Noona .

The chemistry between Gun and Wimala is natural, perfect and not too much.The actors and actresses are very supportive and excellent too.I hope to have a continuity of this couple(WimGun) for this story, They have a lot of potential.
