What I did appreciate slightly was that all the characters were pretty much interlinked with each other, instead of having each couple in their own universe.
Joo Ji Hoon was the main shining light in this movie. He played his role with style and charisma. The rest of the cast either played characters that weren't very unique or that they have played before. Some of the acting was also quite mediocre - especially Lee Yeon Hee, the actress playing the Uzbek girl, and Taecyeon.
Overall, a light but forgettable romantic comedy

a light-hearted and amusing romantic comedy
"Marriage Blue" is a delightful Korean RomCom that offers a light, easy, and fun viewing experience. The movie centers around a unique concept of intertwining relationships leading up to weddings, making it an enjoyable and refreshing watch. Despite its engaging plot, the film falls short in terms of character development early on, which can be confusing when trying to distinguish between the numerous actors and actresses who, unfortunately, look alike. The absence of over-dramatization is a breath of fresh air, providing a more realistic portrayal of relationships and romance. The humor throughout the film is genuinely enjoyable, leaving the audience with a smile on their faces. The movie excels in its portrayal of the characters, and the talented cast brings them to life in a believable and relatable manner.
Though "Marriage Blue" stands out as a cute romantic movie that offers a nice break from heavier dramas, it doesn't quite reach the level of being a groundbreaking RomCom. While the movie is fun and nicely done, it doesn't necessarily outshine other RomCom movies or dramas that I've seen before.
Nonetheless, the film manages to entertain and amuse with its charming plot and comedic moments, maintaining a good balance between romance and humor. It's worth noting that the movie takes a more realistic approach to relationships, with plenty of kissing and hints of sex, though nothing offensive.
One minor flaw is that the movie tries to cram too much story into its runtime, which can make it slightly overwhelming at times. Nevertheless, "Marriage Blue" remains an enjoyable watch, especially for those seeking a light-hearted and amusing romantic comedy.

I am not a fan of this movie at all. How this was sold to so many international markets is a mystery. People act abysmally to each other with absolutely no consequences. I’m not talking about some moral standard I want to hold the filmmakers to, but rather people’s actions don’t elicit rational responses. One male acts like at dick to his fiancée for 15 years and she takes him back. A female can’t bring herself to say she loves her fiancé but he juuuuust keeps trying to win her heart one day before their cancelled wedding. Another female calls off the wedding and the fiancé wants a hug. This is a modern day fairytale in the extreme. Was this review helpful to you?
