Very Low!! but I already feared it.

2/10 I dropped it because it was very disappointing. The Movie implementation was not so good.

Negative:

1. The Lovescenes was sooo short....and disappointing!! The kissing too. :-/
2. The Lovescenes showed almost nothing...
3. The Intromusic was really annoying and strange ...dont fit to the Series at all!!
4. The Backgroundmusic in the whole Series was bit boring.
4. Acting was not very satisfactory.
5. I dont liked the Couples so much.
6. The Movie implementation.

Positive:

1. Kissing was fine.

Not perfect but still great

I recently watched this series for the second time and wanted to write a review, since I didn't write one before.
This series is very good, but it also focuses on more than just romantic relationships: it's mostly about following your dreams and finding a balance between your dreams and the other things and people in your life, about finding happiness in unexpected places, and about finding in yourself a light even when all hope is lost.
The story is about three different couples of sports science students, the main one being the best written in my opinion.

Thorn and Fah make a cute couple and I really liked their story. Their background as childhood friends was explored well and their relationship includes both their romantic feelings for each other and their love for basketball. I really liked the fact that basketball here is not just an aesthetic for their setting, but it's not a minor detail of their characters either: it's present throughout the entire series and a very important part of their dreams and ambitions, often functioning as a way to portray their emotional state at best. It's something I rarely see in series set in university and I really enjoyed it.
I also really liked the idea of them growing closer as they decide to be there for each other and support each other. Their balance is not always good, Thorn is often times the one left with the shorter end of the stick, but this aspect is shown very well in the series. There is quite a bit of angst for them, especially during the last few episodes, but despite it being painful it was a pretty good journey. Tae and Suar don't have groundbreaking chemistry with each other, but it worked for me.

Aii and Saen are a very cute couple together, and also the one that brings less heartache and less angst to the series. Saen's passionate and sincere courting towards Aii was just adorable, and it was also very satisfying to see Aii slowly but steadily warming up to him. I was afraid that Aii would either fall too fast or end up as one of those partners who stay grumpy and reluctand to the end of the series, but that was not the case at all. This couple also faces the long-distance relationship theme, which was handled very well in my opinion. Something I didnt' like was the fact that, while Aii's passions and dreams were thoroughly talked about, Saen was not explored as much.

Finally, Vee and Dome were the recipe-for-disaster couple. On one hand, they were kind of a let-down, because their scenes were focused almost exclusively on the growing feelings for each other and barely anything else. They are also the only couple that strays from the dreams/ambitions/love balancing struggle of the other two couples, so they felt out of place to me. What compensates all of this is their chemistry, which was undoubtedly amazing: their gazes alone said all they needed to say and it was enough to make them very interesting to watch.

The production was pretty good as well, with a good use of camera angles and interesting shots - I wasn't a huge fan of the persistent yellow tone over the entire series, but I got used to it after a couple episodes. I read that other viewers had trouble keeping up with the story because of the flashbacks and time skips, but I personally didn't have trouble understanding what was going on.
The music was, for me, the worst part. It was decent most of the time, but I really didn't like the songs and felt like they runied the moment more often than not.

I recommend watching this at least once!

A lot better than I expected

I had not heard about this drama at all, so I was extremely surprised starting the first episode when I saw the lighting and camerawork. The ambiance is captured beautifully, and the school seems fun and eventful. We are introduced to three couples. They are all interesting, and all have a phase where they get to know each other, a phase where they start to love, then have rough times, and ultimately make up. The series showcases a variety of themes such as chasing your dreams, being adamant about what you love, and not losing your values over success. The main couple has time skips which make them especially interesting. They were childhood friends who met each other by chance, they followed each other everywhere. Some have a problem with this time skip element, but I felt it was done well. In the present it does get a little confusing, with skips of a couple months happening, but it is not too difficult to follow.

The two side couples are also intruiging. One of them is about an adamant lover who will not surrender until he wins his man over. The other is a sticky situation, a senior and a junior are in the same club and theyre getting flirty and closer to each other, but the senior is dating the junior's sister. I love the way the relationships are handled, no one is dramatic or mad for the sake of being mad. Everyone is thinking of each other and it is all very sweet.

The central theme of basketball is very interesting for a BL. Because of the plot, it is almost like a basketball themed series that happens to have gay characters in it; it is not just a general theme with no depth. The main couple is passionate about basketball, and while the other couples have little to do with this sport, theyre still school related and the whole series is very cohesive.

I highly enjoyed this series. It is comfortable, soft, passionate, and has handsome boys dating each other. I do not regret watching this at all. Watching this was not a slog, I hope you enjoy it too.

This is one of the best sweet romance Thai BL recently. Lately, this kind of BL series is getting boring because the lack of originality. However this series is different. The concept might not be new, we've seen sport college themed BL quite a few in the past, but You're My Sky giving different way to approach this concept. It's not just about two athletes suddenly falling in love and being lovey dovey. The words coming from the character and the passion they show makes me cry a few times. But, I laughed and smiled way more time!!

Concept/Plot :
The plot is somehow interesting. Usually college themed BL will focus more on the romance side. However, You're My Sky gave both romance and the sport life fair portion in the plot. I like how it doesn't always go with the mainstream where every problem can be solved easily because of love. The couples giving different perspective of how someone approaching the problem solving. It takes time, effort, and sacrifice, which shown in different couples. We also can see how various someone's take on sport, sportivity, and hardwork. The only minus point are that the story sometimes the scene jumping back and forth not in the right timing and the problem solving in the sport side isn't clear enough to me.

Cast :
The main cast and support couples did really well. If I have to choose the best one, I have to say Porsche (played as Vee) did the best despite the screentime isn't that much. The emotion he shown can reach me through the screen. I have to give respect to the supporting roles and cameos too. The characters difference between two coaches can be clearly seen. The teammates and all the hyping crowd also did pretty well.

Cinematography, Music, and Set :
The cinematography is okay, not bad at all, but some scene could've be improved in terms of camera angle and lighting. Most of them are fine tho. Especially, the basketball scene didn't come off too cutty (?) in most of the scene.
The music is also okay. I'm not paying attention too much but everytime I hear the music most of the time I was not distracted. They also know when we don't need a backsound.
I really like the indoor set. It's giving the right vibes wether it's in college, court, or home.

Overall :
GIVE IT A TRY! The couples are cute and the story line isn't boring. I like this more than some of higher rated BL tbh. I kinda want Tupbob and Chain to have each BL plot too lol. or maybe they can be the plot.... O.O
My favorite scenes are the warmup and graduation ceremony part, the vibes was living!! I also like the couple scene after Thorn being an asshole lol. And off course, I like the way Vee looks into Dome. I feel like he's trying to flirt with me kkk.

Loved it!

Honestly, the first episode was a bit dull. The whole sports theme we've seen so many times before, as with Water Boyy, but the three main stories are interesting enough to overcome the familiar miniseries wrapper. Thailand continues to set the gold standard for boy love dramas with gorgeous photography, first rate acting and realistic storylines. The main story concerns two childhood friends who grow up to play basketball together at university. This plot line gets the most screen time but it the least interesting of the three stories; nevertheless the leads are appealing and there's an interesting revelation about how long the Torn character has been in love with Fah. The love triangle with the two male characters, Dome and Vee that involves Vee's sister (and Dome's girlfriend) is the next most interesting, but this romance doesn't get very far by the end of the series. Too bad because the two actors were quite good. The most interesting plot concerns the characters Sean, a track athlete, and Aii, who serves as a staffer for the track team. These guys have by far the best romance scene in Episode 6. Jump's shy Aii is a perfect paring with Boom's sexy Saen. "You're My Sky" doesn't rise to the steamy sexiness of other Thai BL dramas like "WhyRU?' but at least these (most likely) straight male actors can pull off intimate guy-guy scenes without making them cringeworthy. I'd love to see Jump and Boom paired again in another drama.

WHERE’S THE EXCITEMENT FOR THE GAMES? WHERE’S THE AUDIENCE??

If you’ve watched PING PONG (starring Timmy Xu of ADDICTED fame), this one will definitely suffer in comparison. PING PONG generated such an interest for the game – in epic proportions! You follow the progression of the main characters and you develop a love for the sport. Partly to blame here is the editing. But of course, the director calls the shots, so he’s one responsible for putting everything together. Two sports are featured here: basketball and track & field. Neither were given proper spotlight.

Also here, MAJOR games have no audience at all? Only a handful? Two school are competing. Shouldn’t the bleachers be full of students? Also, the host school had no audience at all? All those handful cheerers are from the visiting team! Doesn’t help in making the series believable at all!

PING PONG’s actors obviously invested time and effort in perfecting their games. You see and feel they really ARE masters of their game! Here, you don’t feel that. You feel they’re all amateurs up the very last episode. Also amateurs in the acting department. Only Saen (actor: Boom) is a natural, but even he has awkward moments.

Also, the timeline is quite confusing. Transition from present to past to present sometimes makes you wonder if what you’re watching is present or months ago. Example: During the final game, Thorn was a prick which everybody hated, including his teammates. Then we get to see flashbacks from months ago. Then, even before the game ended, we see Thorn crying and Fah comforting him. Is this past or present? Confusing because they didn’t even show the results of that game!! Which team won?? Like so many things in the series, that one was left unanswered.

Time jumps between episodes are quite confusing, too! So you don’t feel a smooth flow of events.

Nagging question: Did Dome say (they he and Wee were assisting a drunken Pete) that he just used Pan to get close to Wee? Did he address that issue after that scene? Did he say sorry to Pan for that?

PLUS POINT: Cinematography, whether is daylight or sunset or nighttime, the lighting is almost always perfect.

Vee and Dome (love is in the air)

I usually write reviews for shows that blow me away or for shows that deeply disappoint me. This time I'm writing for Vee and Dome. What a cute couple!! They said more with their eyes than any couple that had a lot of minutes and intimate scenes. Their scenes (there could have been many more) were full of emotions. Either I had a big smile on my face and I was melting or I was holding my breath and hoping that the sun would warm them too. I think this is a couple that deserves a continuation of the story and a series only for them (the others may have some guest roles). As for the plot of the series itself, it may not be a masterpiece, there may be some omissions and messing with the timeline, but this is a series that does not leave a bitter taste in the mouth. On the contrary. We all have dreams, plans, hopes, fears. Someone's life will be the way he planned it, while someone else has to work hard and travel a thorny path to the goal. No one can say exactly how they would behave in certain situations. We are simply only humane, full of flaws and shortcomings. But, when we face our fears and insecurities, when we find inner strength and the right path, when we love ourselves with all the flaws and virtues, then we can do anything. I think that is the main backbone of this story.

Beautiful, authentic story about loving the right person at the wrong time.

i for one really loved the authenticity of this story.

All 3 couples struggle with a sort of "right person, wrong time" romantic storyline, and they don't shy away from portraying the raw and real emotions that come with it.

I personally find episode 11 to be the best overall in the show, a really beautiful representation of how difficult and scary it can be to figure out your own identity after you've been living in the shadow of someone else your whole life.

Really lovely show.

The Confusing Quality Of The Show Will Make You Wonder If It's Worth Your Time

The first 3 episodes are way too boring. Way too slow paced, too many awkward silences within the conversations, and some amateur acting from some of the actors.
Then, somehow, it gets better.
The story develops in a faster pace, the actors show a bit more passion towards their craft & the conversations stop having these dead sciences right in the middle of them.

Until we reach episode 9.
In episode 9, we suddenly move from a college/sports setting to get a beach episode out of nowhere. The episode also skips over very important details in the events, and just gives you the end game of them all. The viewer will start feeling as if they were reading a novel & after completing half of it, they suddenly decide to skip to the last two chapters leaving some important events behind. A very poor choice from the director, that made the show’s flow & emotions feel detached & unlinked.

Then, we arrive at episode 11 & 12. The finale of the show.
However, we also arrive to unpassionate, almost feeling forced, cringe inducing intimate scenes and back to amateur acting skills, as the actors disconnect from their roles & let their own personalities show through . As if the actors forgot that they’re playing romantic couples. All except Kris Sakris Strickland & Porsche Tanathorn Charoenratanaporn playing the couple Dome & Vee. These two actors did give all in the acting department & never were separated from the psychology of their roles. So, they should be recognised for their efforts & exempted from the mess that the others made.

The soundtrack of the show is almost non-existent, aside from the perfect background music that came with the teaser of the show.

All in all, You Are My Sky had a potentially good story that was ruined by bad direction choices & fickle acting skills. So, it's totally your choice to either be patient with it all, or decide that you'd better spend your time on something else.

Three love stories but only one is impactful

I do not know what drew me to watch this series. Perhaps it was the synopsis of three gay couples featured and frankly this series was a bit under the radar. But I am glad I watched it. Certainly, this series was a mixed bag both in terms of emotions and story content. It matured and seasoned well towards the end except for one major flaw. Its editing left a lot to be desired. The story jumped and ebbed and flowed without a lot of consistency especially in its time jumps. The story became very uneven then. The love story between Dome and Vee is the one worth watching.

Ok...yeah just ok for me

I'm late to this party, so maybe it would be better if It came to me one episode each week. I found myself toward the end fast-forwarding occasionally. The main couple had a great story but not fulfilled by the script or acting. Dome and Vee were the most intriguing couple even though the complication was a Yikes! Sean and Aii to left me cold. Maybe others will like it more. Just my opinion. PS I did watch it to the end though. PS that's a good thing so at least the story kept me watching till the end.

something is missing

I feel like there are some parts of the series that were missing SPOILER ⚠️: break up scenes and other scenes were not added so I feel like the story is not complete. I also felt like some part were all over the place and some situations that should've been in the drama was skipped.
