Huang Weiren's frustration at being stuck at his dead-end job with no promotion or raise in sight, along with the antics of his domineering wife, cause him to write a very harshly-worded letter to his boss, telling him he's quitting. The next day however, the boss, Mr. Gu, decides to promote him to manager and send him to work at the company's new American branch.
