Interesting story, great actors
I actually really liked this series. Initially when I started watching it, I doubted the chemistry between Singto and Tae. However as the show progressed, the characters and the storyline got more and more interesting. Both lead actors are talented and I liked the storyline of 2 totally different people from totally different worlds learning to love each other and learning to put aside their needs for each other’s happiness. It’s a cute story and I liked that it included some comedy. Singto is a seriously versatile actor. Was this review helpful to you?
This is such an underrated show
I didn’t love the first few episodes because I found Phab (Tae) character a little annoying. But as I watched, he evolved and grew on me. I wasn’t sure about the TaeSingto partnership but they have really great chemistry and there was a lot of humour. I get tired of the University dramas so always nice to find a grown up BL. The story was not perfect and some of the misunderstandings were ridiculous but all in all very worth it.YoonSood were also really great in it too!

This was amazing! So much more then I could have hoped for
I’ve heard about this series and decided to give it a chance after episode 4 aired I honestly like the pace of it’s not slow things move right along it’s hilarious and beautiful I will say maze is horrible to Phap in the beginning before realizing what he really means to him. Tae’s character was written beautifully and he’s an amazing actor this is the first project that I’ve seen him in. The only thing about this I didn’t like was how horrible Nueng was about the misunderstanding that he and maze are brothers not lovers they kinda dragged that out a little 2 far. The story between him and Tharn was so cute I wasn’t sure if that shipWould sail but it did. This series really touched my heart

Funny, lovely and so goood.
Seriously, I feel so fine watching this. I think their story was so good, so impressive, i caught myself laughing remembering some scenes, they seem to love each other so much, they are pretty, they are fine. funny, lovely and soooo gooood, they do a lot of fun things, this series is dope. I think singto are getting better and better in this industry and Tae... so beautiful, so good at acting, so good at everything, you own me for this week, I rewatched a lot of times and it was so fun, I super recommend this series. Was this review helpful to you?

Nueng - Why? Just Why?
After watching this drama trailer, I wasn't too much interested in watching this drama but since it was pretty much the only title that I and my friend who is still in HS and is 10 years younger (an important point for the later part of the review) than me hasn't watched we decided to give it a chance during the weekend. The drama cinematography, script and acting really surprised me in a positive way, it was only in episode 8 I realized that the actor acting as Maze was Singhto - Kongpob from Sotus. Both male leads are very good actors but the chemistry between them is not the highest. Making Phap overshadow Maze in more than one scene.
In terms of story I always judge script and storytelling because even the greatest script without good storytelling will feel only so-so. In Paint With Love we have a script that momentarily doesn't make sense ( lack of follow up for some events) but good storytelling still makes this show enjoyable to watch.
But what surprised me the most was the vastly different reaction I and my friend had to this series. She didn't like the main couple - especially Maze and pretty much thought that plot sacked. Due to my vastly different experience, we discusses it for a bit and i finally realized the reason.
Life experience and reading between the lines.
She is younger than me so she like things to be black or white while the characters of this series are very much grey. They have their strength and weakness. The storyline portrays it pretty good, Phab jealousy over Nueng that made him feel like he was just stand in for him and fuelling his desire for competition when he overall felt he was not good enough for Maze. Maze need for money and control, him like many other humans judge other people life by their own values thinking they knew better what is better for another person.
With leads to a flashback of Maze fight with Nueng, Maze fought against Nueng decision because he thought he knew better (As we can see he probably did) which caused them to lost contact for several years. Even though he pretty much begged while crying asking him to stay with him. Maze and Nueang storyline don't make a lot of sense in a lot of places so bear with it...
This situation also shed a nice light why Maze was suddenly set of making Phab go to Japan. Realizing you are wasting another person's potential with yours even good intentions - can be painful. (Think of it as Stephan King, for example, being forced to work in office writing Ads for others) It also nicely showcase Maze trauma, maybe if he push person to go this time he will not lose him for years to come. Maybe the person would decide to stay.
"If You Love Someone, Set Them Free. If They Come Back They’re Yours"
In this whole series what Maze and Phab did was very in line with their characterization, but the perception of them can wary because we are forced to read between the lines, Depending on our understanding of them our score of the plot can differ.
What I disliked the most in this show was the useless person - Nueng, he is just bland...
Later he also becomes a character who hides his selfishness with a mask of kindness. If screenwriters scraped his storyline and let us have a better view in main couple minds and motivation it would really improve the show quality and clear viewer perception of them. Nueng relationship with Maze is just bizarre at best, him not contacting Maze or his manager hitting Tharn manager while all trouble landed on Tharn was also super fu*ked up.
It was like Nueng storyline was added/rewritten in the last minute, that's why it doesn't really add anything to the plot except viewers' confusion.
Overall its good show with strong and weak points where i think rewatching will clear some doubts of the viewers and put character action in perspective.

Funny & sweet show with realistic romance and without the stereotypes and tired tropes!
This is one of the best Thai rom-com shows I've seen with a gay romance story line (I've watched dozens of shows and never review any before!). Fresh-feeling plot that manages to include some absurd comedy/situations, without resorting to a lot of tropes and stereotypical plot twists. The characters are fairly well-developed, extremely well-acted, and experience a lot of personal growth. The production value is pretty high, with well-mixed audio for the most part and diverse shots. If you are coming from the BL fan world, this show might not be cute/shippable enough for you, but if you are looking for a light romcom show with a more realistic view of relationships, this is a great pick.
More reasons to watch:
- Characters are adult-age, with is refreshing if you're coming from watching typical BL
- Subverts one trope (inappropriate romantic feelings) by having no actual shady behavior but allowing it to cause a lot of misunderstandings and drama nonetheless!
- Minimal use of gay or trans-femme stereotypes (there is one exaggerated character and sadly they are a bad person, but they aren't used for comedic relief just because of their femme-ness)
- None of those annoying sound effects that indicate something "hilarious" or bizarre has happened
- Really sweet opposites-attract that seems realistic
While there are of course things that could be improved, and there are some slowly paced parts that I skipped through, this far outshines many of the other dramas I've binged. If you're tired of shows with 10 side couples, plots full of holes, same-old gags and plot twists, then watch this show to remind yourself why you like romcom shows, especially BL/gay/Thai ones.

It does a good job of being simple
A series with an interesting beginning, nothing too innovative, but fun added to a very interesting development, however the ending leaves something to be desired.Plot: simple, is the word that summarizes this plot. Two people who don't like each other, but in the end are already in love with each other. There are secondary plots that for me were not well developed throughout the series, although they do not compromise the central plot.
Acting: good, but some stand out. Sing is still as perfect as ever I don't think there is any series that he delivers a half-assed job, sometimes, like the Baker Boys series he is on automatic, however here it is not the case I feel that he, Sing, has managed to deliver everything from the character. Tae is very good, even though I don't know his other works I feel he delivers a lot here. The "supporting roles" or the secondary ones, some are fine, others not so much, but I will mention the ones that caught my attention. The actors in Together with Me are perfect, especially Maen who as always delivers everything and a little more, but the others are good even with little screen time. Now the other couple of the series didn't appeal to me much, even though they are good actors, I wasn't convinced that they liked each other, they lacked chemistry and more screen time for them to develop. The rest is average.
Music: melodious pop music that I don't like, but that is always found in series with this theme, I don't know why. It's not bad, but it's not outstanding and sometimes it's even repetitive in several situations.
Setting: urban, there is nothing for me to talk about.
Overall it was a good series, but with problems, the lack of a "stronger" story/plot makes the series, for me, weak, because the series itself forgets its main premise for a few good episodes and added with the second couple without chemistry makes it weak in a whole, for me the main characters hold this series, but this is just a personal opinion. And with a rushed ending in which everything is solved very easily it leaves the viewer a little confused. I recommend watching it, but I don't think it's a Sotus that will make you want to watch it again and again in the future.

Its Good.
This is my opinion as a common viewer, i am not an expert.I have watched 30 BL series (i know there are people who has watched more).
This series is not perfect, not the best/orginal story and music. But at least is watchable.
There are a lot of BL series out that are just so bad, and feel like you are watching a filler with cliche and predictable roles. This serie is at least more than 50% different of what i described.
So while you wait for your new series starts airing or if you run out of things to watch, this is worth to give a chance.

"Yuck"
How does this have so much high rating? I just wasted my time watching this. There is no chemistry between them. They're straigh up toxic. I felt no emotion while watching this. Phap is an obsessed lover on the other hand Maze has no emotion towards him! Phap lacks self respect.
If talk about cast, Singto had no expression in his face. It felt like they were bored themselves while making the film.
Overall, It was a mess. You can find way better dramas out there. In my opinion, It's not worth the time!

Had high expectations but unfortunately the series did not live up to them
When I first heard about this series- I was super excited because of the main couple. I love Singto and Tae's avting in some of thier previous series so I know the potential that they have when it comes to their acting. But this season...I really wanted to love it. But I can't.Story-6/10
There were some good parts, I will say that. However, it kinda got repetitive with the jealousy. Also I actually wasn't that invested in the secondary MM couple ( I was actually more invested in a MF couple who had a small part). There were times when I wasn't able to keep my attention to the series and that's unfortunate.
Acting/Cast-7/10
I love the cast. And they actually did do a good job, given with what they had to work with. So for that I give a 7.
Music-8.5/10
I love the music so much! I know that I am going to miss it on my Fridays.
Rewatch Valu-4/10
I don't see myself coming back to this anytime soon, unfortunately.
Overall-6.5/10
Overall I give this series a 6.5. I felt that it had potential to be an awesome series but it was unable to reach it.

why the hell does this have a low rating??? review is longg
i had this in my list for a month and didn't watch it due to the reviews being so low but looking at the reviews and checking their ratings on certain dramas its clear they lack taste.. but moving on i enjoyed this not only did it have many actors that i enjoy i really like the whole uptight boss and artist love story. the fact we learn a lot of life lessons from this and can actually take away the advice they give us. you can either take my review like a grain of salt or take it into account when u are deciding to watch this.i went into this for singto because i loved him in sotus but i hated the pairing he was in so i decided to give this a shot. i rate dramas based on how fast and enjoyable they are and for me this was it hands down. each episode had me i couldn't stop watching its literally 6am now i started watching this 10hrs ago.
i actually liked the story maze the uptight boss who does everything perfect meets a carefree go with the flow phab and their love story begins. im a sucker for a good enemies to lovers trope. i love how they actually focused on the art pieces and explained the different emotions and meanings most shows would just go yup love painting there you go. my favourite part had to be when phab talked about how there are 2 lines a straight one and curved one , this is something im going to take away from the show and use it. i loved side couple story bl actors who fall for each other it was cute.
cons : the misunderstanding and thats it the whole story to do with maze and nueng i dont even blame phab for thinking there was something going on cause even i was confused on their relationship i couldn't tell if they were brothers who secretly had feelings for each other long ago or not. so this really just comes down to the writing i hated it and groaned every time i saw them alone together cause i know damn well someone bout to see them and the trip to nuengs house finding out things but then later phab was seemed taken back by the things he learned when nueng told him? unless i missed something or it was just poor writing.
acting/ music 10/10 idek what to say i loved every ones role there wasn't a single person i hated in the show i recognised majority of them from the maxtul together with me S1&2. i love love mae with my heart once again we have her back as the problem solving best friend. the side couple nueng and tharn had so much chemistry i just wished it didnt take them till the last ep to confess their feelings. i prefer singtos paring in this the chemistry flows a lot better in this than it did with k it seems natural and not like hes forced to be there.
overall : cute show something to see if you ran out of things to watch.

The cast is amazing!
I've just finished the series and, even though it is clearly not the best BL out there, it was really enjoyable to watch.I'm going to start talking about the cast because it is the best thing from this series.
First of all, I know all of the actors!! They all have played a role in a BL series and I couldn't stop saying every time a new actor appeared on screen: "Oh! I know him/her!". I was quite happy to see them again in this series but, at the same time, it was really weird to see so many familiar faces in just one drama. It's like the cast directors have watched all the BL series from those actors (which I'm sure they have) and made a list with the actors they wanted to cast. I was especially surprised with Mild and Bruce!! Second of all, all of the actors are excellent in their roles. Of course, as a fan of Singto, I already knew his talent in acting but I really liked the acting of the supporting cast as well. Especially Yoon and Yatch. I've known Yatch since Love by Chance and I've seen him in several BL after that but I've never seen him play a serious character before (if so, it didn't leave a mark on me). He was always the goofy and funny friend of one of the main characters (and he was good at it!) but this is the first time that I was able to see how good he is at acting. Even though he didn't have much screen time, it was enough for me to notice that he was a talented actor and I hope to see him in a drama again very soon. As for Yoon, I never really liked the series that I've watched with him so I couldn't really appreciate his acting (YYY was the first series that I've watched with him and I hated it, it was so ridiculous...). But this drama has shown me a different side of Yoon's acting that I really liked and I hope to see him again in another (good) drama in which I can see and appreciate his acting.
Now, moving on to the storyline... It was quite simple and quite enjoyable as a whole but there were elements in the plot that I didn't quite like. I'm going to start with the jealousy thing (if you don't want to be spoiled, you should stop reading now). I don't understand why Tharn and Phap were jealous. Tharn is supposed to be friends with Maze and Nueng for a very long time (from his college days if I remember correctly). Didn't he know that Maze and Nueng were siblings? Really? Even Nae seemed to not know their real relationship, which is really surprising because they seem to be friends for a very long time. Weird that Maze never made it clear with them that Nueng was his step-brother. Also, Phap knew about it!!! I don't remember the episode but when he went to Phuket with Maze for the first time, they went to visit an old lady that showed him some photos of him and Nueng and she explicitly said that they were step-brothers. He even said to Maze that he thought Nueng was an en-lover after that and Maze called him crazy. So why is he jealous? I know that, sometimes, I even believed that there was more than just a brother's love but he should be acting like that. Then, there was the back and forth from Phap again. Every time he was jealous, he was sulking and taking his distance from Maze but, the next scene, he was all smiley again and going back to Maze as if nothing ever happened. It was really disturbing to be honest and that happened a few times, not only once! Every time Nueng made an appearance actually... To finish (and someone has already pointed it out), they introduced a scene in which Phap hurt himself saving Nueng gfrom drowning. I thought they were going to develop this injury to be a serious one (a broken rib, for example) that maybe led him to the hospital and Maze would have been worried about him but... nothing!!! Absolutely nothing. They never develop this plotline, they did nothing with it and I was really disappointed that there was no end to it (and I know I'm not alone).
As a whole, apart from the few elements that I didn't like, it was still a good series to watch. Will I rewatch it? Probably not, but it didn't get bored or I wasn't upset watching it so that's good!
