Give it a Chance
This series is not for you if you don’t like paranormal story lines with a side of sci-fi. If it is, you are in for a treat.I love this series even with the bittersweet ending. It had a great original storyline. I also like how they incorporated several nods to Lovely Writer in some of the earlier episodes. Great script, beautiful cinematograph, and very good acting. I love the music and the special effects weree used very strategically.
However, the editing of the free cut version is not the greatest. They cut a lot of scenes which makes some of the episodes disconnected and/or confusing. The uncut version is definitely better. The cut version has many scenes missing that are needed to help the viewers fully understand and appreciate what is going on. They also cut scenes that help with the backstories of the side characters.
Disclaimer: I did a slight edit of this original review and changed the Story, Rewatch Value, and Overall Rating sections to reflect the cut version of this series. Edits were done on 1/6/2024.

To be honest, this series shattered the Thai “ghost” image that I had learned from He's Coming to me. From the way they change clothes, to their appearance in front of humans. But, slowly I realized that this series is not about reincarnation, so I finally accepted the fairness even though it was still beyond my senses.
If we talked about acting, Nut actually is not a new artist in the BL series, but his ability showed just like his co-stars (Plan).
Another thing that bothered me so much that I dropped the rating of this film in terms of the rewatch value which is because of at the end of the episode, this series has lost its way on how to improve it properly. This is the second Nut’s series that I've watched, and I still don't like it. :(
In Indonesian:
He’s Coming to me.

Very creative and sentimental storyline
I haven't watched the uncut version because whenever I try to watch it, the video keeps buffering and loading for an eternity. I wish that all the kiss scenes that they cut out for the YouTube version weren't cut out. But, I do have to say that this show is very underrated and made very well, which I expected because of Lovely Writer. The kiss in the last episode was very emotional, especially if you're watching it for the first time. From the first time they said that Phob only could only be there for 49 days up until the last episode, I was expecting a sad ending. But I was very relieved when it didn't end how I thought it would. This is one of the very few situations where the main character dying is a good thing because now they can finally be together again after so many years.
At first, I wasn't going to finish the last episode after Phat had said he got married to a woman. But I went back to watch the rest and I was delighted to find out they got divorced. My brother kept criticizing me for being happy about that as well as Phat's death. But he hasn't watched the whole show, so he wouldn't understand; he's not attached to the main characters.
Another thing is how Phat was a university student, but unlike a lot of other BLs, this one is usually set at his house and not his school.
The two main leads have a lot of chemistry and just like almost every other BL I've watched, I kept giggling and smiling when seeing them being cute and romantic with each other. All in all, I highly recommend watching this if you haven't checked it out yet.

One of the best shows
It’s my first review, and I’m glad it’s for a superb drama like Something in my room. It’s lucky that I watched the uncut version from the very start. To watch this, you can find the subscription instruction in the discussion section. It's worth every cent.
The writer and director have done a good job, a really good job. They respect their audience, leaving room for our judgment and reasoning, then kindly produce all the answers in the most realistic way. Every scene supports each other to build a story that is solid and focuses on what matters.
I like both the main leads. Nut’s performance in this drama has proven his talent and his determination to be a good actor. Plan understands his characters, which is rare in BL. I can feel Phat’s kindness, love, frustration, and pain through his acting. I see two boys being drawn to each other by love, not because the story told them so. They only knew and love each other for more than a month, but they make me believe their love is deep and eternal.
The supporting cast is another well-done aspect. They don’t run around the main leads, being eager to be in the main leads’ dramas. They have their own story to tell. All the fathers and mothers are flawed, they love their children but somehow couldn’t overcome their desire and selfishness. Dream struggles to find closure and live true to herself. It’s great to see experienced actors here, they elevate the atmosphere and give a mature vibe that is lacking in many shows.
I like this show’s message. It’s precise and spot-on. Only one sentence is enough to make my heart tear up and draw out many conclusions. This show also handles all the issues head on, without avoiding the complex part by time skip or half-assed reactions.
This show is loyal to its premise. It checks off all the criteria for a great show (not a BL show): an engaging story, an amazing cast, a well-written plot, a bold director, a great blend of music. My heart felt calm after the ending. I just finished a good show and I know I’ll remember it for a very long time.

Ghost Romance Story Done Right
I came to watch this show with zero expectations. This was not in my PTW list but I saw a random youtube video and I decided to give this one a try. And let me tell you, it was a great decision. This series is criminally underrated.STORY
I gave it a perfect score because of how the finale was executed. I couldn't find a better and non-cliché ending for a ghost romance story than this. They did everything right with the finale episode. Many would disagree with me but I loved the it. Sure, it did have its lapses in the storyline but a supernatural show is bound to have it. There were lots of slow moments that's stretching the episode runtime. There were arcs that I think are unnecessarily long (Dream & Luck & Ben's). The start of the series was perfect then it got stagnant in the middle but it gave out a perfect finale episode. Wish we could've more cute moments too but the plot isn't really for that.
CAST
I couldn't believe my eyes because is Nut really the same actor that played in Oxygen? Wow this is a gazillion miles of improvement from his previous series that I watched. I gotta say props to Nut for his acting in this. Plan is new to me but I think he did just okay. I like it when he's acting cute with Phob. *butterflies* I do think he has potential to improve his acting if he hones his abilities more.
OVERALL
It's a pity only a few people are watching this. I think watchers are expecting a cute romcom show and this isn't what they were looking for. Is this a masterpiece production-wise? No. Is this masterpiece acting-wise? No. But it had all the elements for a great series. I think it was also a mistake to upload only the cut version on youtube. The cut parts makes watchers confused.
I'll definitely recommend this for those looking to watch something lowkey and something new.

the uncut is the better version
It's a good series in general, they do a pretty good job with the screenplay and the actors all them was good, the main and lead roles know how to act and they deserves a praise for this, but lets be honest if you watch in a 2.0x speed you dont lose anything because the series was sooooooooooooo sloooooooooooow, they have such a good scenes I totally agree but the suspect aura was not for me, the soundtrack was good and the rewatch value its like medium because every ep is 60min so you have to be a big wish to rewatch. Was this review helpful to you?

For me I think that Something in my Room will be one of my top favorite BL's dramas this year and will be a drama that I will probably go back and rewatch. I feel that the story line was developed beyond the usual BL dramas but strives to portray each character as who they are with their perfections and imperfections their own thoughts and feelings and this really added a lot to flow of the story in the show. It also showed how the impact of loss and grief along with misunderstandings and how that can really affect an individual and relationships.~Music~
For me, when I watch any dramas or movies, one thing I keenly look out for is the where the background music is placed and does it match the current mood and environment of the scene that the music is backing up. One thing that bothers me is when music with lyrics is "placed" underneath scenes when people are talking and this drives me crazy because I can no longer focus on what the characters are saying but in this drama (from what I can remember) this drama really does an excellent job of avoiding that issue. I think that the music was used placed really, really well and the mixing was done perfectly and it really did a good job of enhancing certain emotions in different scenes. I think the scene that I really enjoyed because of the music was the scene when Phob leads Phat to the back of the house so they can look at the stars in the last episode, that background music really swept me off my chair. It was well mixed and really fit well into portraying that emotion between the two characters.
~The Characters~
Phob was played by Nut and I am so so thankful that he got a chance to really show his best in this series in comparison to his main role in Oxygen. He really does a good job of portraying Phob this time with all the raw emotions on this journey of recovering of memories and identity. I really hope to see him again in future series soon. Phat was played by Plan and I really enjoyed it and I hope to see him as well in future series.
Overall, the storyline and characters were thoroughly developed. I would definitely recommend this to some of my friends for sure and I know I will come and rewatch this drama before the end of this year.

Strange romance
I read multiple positive reviews so I thought it was going to be an interesting series however, I found myself not liking this series at all.At the start, I thought it would take a direction similar to "Oh My Ghost," where we eventually discover that the male lead is not actually dead, allowing for a "normal" romance to develop. However, the show took a different path, opting for a ghost-human relationship that I found quite weird.
Overall the series it was not for me. I found some scenes pretty weird, specially the romantic ones, since one of them technically is not even there, and only Phob can see him.

That was sooo close....ARRGHHH!!!!
Okay, here we are again with a BL with huge potential to be TOP TIER, but the writers fuck it up.....*SIGH*At first I had my doubts if I should watch this series or not. The reviews are all over the place but I still decided to give it a go because you can't really trust other people's reviews lol (but you can trust mine, okay? hahaha)
This is a story about a mom and her son, Phat, moving into a new house. In the very first day Phat can feel there's something weird about the house....and soon finds out there's a ghost living there too, Phob. The plot of the series is mostly about Phat helping Phob to remember his life in order to move on to the after life before his time runs out.
It's a very cute "boy meets ghost and falls in love" story. The main cast is pretty great - not going to lie Nut (Phob) is very charming and you'll fall in love with him by the end of the series. The chemistry was there, the kisses scenes were pretty, and their relationship was very believable! The support cast also had a great deal of weight to the story...Dream was really good!
However, the pacing of the whole series was way off....that was one the biggest reasons why this series isn't a 10 for me. In pretty much every episode there was A LOT of filler scenes that could have been EASILY cut. Long shots of their expressions, long walks, extensive reactions.....you know what I mean, right? It happened A LOT! For the first time I felt the need to skip those scenes in every episode. And I never do that. Let it be warned.
Again, the story is really beautiful, I just hoped that the writer had done a better job with the pace and put more effort into the dialog to avoid those fillers. But I don't regret watching it. The last 2 episodes got me....I cried lol. They way they handled spirituality and love was really beautifully and I ATE IT UP.
You should definitely give this series a chance....but you'll might have to skip like I did.

anticlimatic
they have a good concept on the story but there was so many unnecessary scene. it was so dragging, they could have made it in 5 episodes or less. the story could stand without the romance. it feels like the bl part between the main was irrelevant (for me, they also lack chemistry)the actors and actresses were great, not awkward. however, their characters were so
bland, not much personality.
i got bored watching it. unfortunately, i have the tendency to finish what i started so i ended up watching it.

has its flaws, but still shines
story-wise, there’s a lot of unnecessary stuff. the general idea is great as-is, so a lot of the additional weird characters was distracting in a bad way.you get so engrossed in the main characters, that suddenly dealing with the supporting character having some kind of history with aliens ruined the vibe for me. and I’ll be honest that I did not care for any of the other characters’ storylines.
I only watched it for the main leads, so I skipped a lot of things.
anyway, I actually enjoyed this a lot despite everything I hated in this. ended up crying at the ending too. genuinely felt glad that at least we get closure in this bl. I loved phob, he made it so hard during the last episode because I kept tearing up. supanut is a gem, I would love to see a lot more from him.

Bittersweet Story that is well acted and enjoyable
It is very sweet and brings out emotions for the couple. There are some dramatic parts but it is not scary, the actors were cast really well and played their roles perfectly. It was expected that the ending would be bittersweet as it is a romance with a ghost but still it is defiantly worth watching and has no draggy parts. Get your tissues for the final episode though as it really pulls on the emotions, they make a sweet couple and I would like to see more dramas with these actors.I came here after starting Pit Babe the series and was not disappointed .
