In 1970s Koza, Okinawa, under the American occupation, a rock band called IMPACT enjoyed massive popularity among American soldiers heading for Vietnam. Live music clubs raked in enough nightly cash to build a house. Koza brimmed with money, riots, and music. 50 years later, the clubs have mostly disappeared, and the excitement is long gone.
