Seo Hae Bom discovers he will be in the same high school class as his adoptive brother, Jo Tae Seong. Also in the classroom are two bullies who repeatedly steal his money. (Source: TVMAZE)
This is a rewatch but I didn't write a review before so here it is. 1. Haebom is kind of a pushover and I get that he doesn't want to fight back but like he doesn't have one bit of spine. 2. Tae Seong should have helped him out idk what he was waiting for. "Are they your friends?" bro they were literally slapping him what do you mean -- 3. The acting is mid. Kind of forgettable. 4. Why is it always the "they grew up in the same house" trope? As Cody Ko once famously said, "Y'all rocking with incest?"
A cute start. The acting isn't thaaaat good, but also not terrible bad. The mother is soooo pretty!! ? I don't really like the way the recorded everything. Camera moving seems weird and it's so bright.. the atmosphere just isn't there and it looks a bit sterile and too much like a set. ? Aaah, but I don't get why they choosed a 30y/o dude to play a high schooler.. he definitely doesn't pass. He looks way too old to sit in a class room.
This seems fun and cute. i might finish it after work because it is actually pretty short. And its not even that long. I thought Haebom was an actual child, but the actor is 26 lol. he is a cutie and i like the vibes. Hopefully they keep them up because this seems like something that is really cute and something i can get behind. Okay bye!
put this off long enough - read the Mahwah from start to finish, so know what supposed to happen, let alone what's going on. but cause of that encountered enough adaptations that fall short of their live versions, and that's just a bummer to experience. so took me a while to check this out - and for a 1st ep, this is close to the written version, which is a good start. **********************************************************************************************************************************************************but also remembered how much i detested the start, where poor introverted, orphan Hae Bom is bullied not only in school, but also at home - even though here it is toned down and Tae Sung even though cold and distant, isn't out and out hostile. but still not a joy watching Hae Bom get bullied, kinda infuriating watching it go down, while everyone turns a blind eye, cause "it isn't their problem" hate that POV. *******************************************************************************************************same with Tae Sung asking Hae Bom if his bullies were his friends - like duh - anyone with eye's can figure out, that isn't the case - why shame him into admitting what u can figure out alone?!? ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************but the plus this being so short, doubt the bullying and high-school scenes will be dragged out
I noticed some other reviewers commenting on how the plot seemed to be weird/doesn't make sense but let me remind you that this is an adaption from the manhwa. The manhwa also did little to fully explain the "sudden feelings" Tae Sung (TS) had for Hae Bom (HB) but let me explain here:HB's parents passed away in an accident while he was young and back then, both HB's and TS's mothers were very good friends so TS's mother decided to take care of him. TS didn't had a good childhood because their parents were estranged and HB was sort of TS's first friend. TS soon developed feelings for HB but in order not to express these feelings for HB, TS decided to act cold towards HB all the while. (Episode 3 elaborates this further). They never went to school together, never talked in school together and never went home together. That is why TS's friends also didn't know about HB.However as they are graduating from high school soon, TS's mother warned TS that he doesn't have much time with HB left, because HB will surely move out of their house (HB is very independent and didn't want to burden TS and his mother anymore). TS then realised he should face up to his feelings for HB and therefore start to show that he actually cares for HB and then the story begins.Back to the episode:Yes a nice start - shows the contrast between TS and HB's 'popularity' in school. However I think the part where TS are welcomed by the students with flowers and gifts is slightly over exaggerated
The first I episode it the one that suppose to attract people. For me who has been a fan of Cherry Blossom After Winter since the very beginning, was pleased with the first episode. Haebom is literally the cutest thing ever ❤️❤️
I didn't finish this episode. I just couldn't get past the gaping plot premise, that two 17 year old boys who have been living in the same house together for 10 years could possibly be this distant and disassociated from each other. And then just suddenly discover a romantic attachment with each other? But not during the hottest, steamiest years of puberty?
I usually don't start a series until it's all available but I decided I would go ahead and see if this one would be interesting. I was so invested after the first episode I kept clicking on next episode until I got to talking to the TV. I hate that its not all there becasue it's interesting enough for me to want the next episode right now.
