This is a youth film depicting the tragic love between a teacher with a dark past and a high school girl with an incurable disease. Suzuko Izumisawa and her classmate Eiichi are childhood friends. When intrepid sportsman Kyosuke Nanjo arrives at their high school as a new teacher, Suzuko is intrigued. One day, when Suzuko leaves school, she sees an unarmed Nanjo being beaten by a beautiful girl, Manami, and her friends. Suzuko tends to his wounds and asks him about the situation, but he coldly dismisses her. Suzuko soon finds out from Manami that Nanjo had caused the death of Manami's brother in a boxing match when he was a university student. Suzuko grew increasingly fond of Nanjo, who has lived with deep regret and pain ever since. On the other hand, Eiichi, who loves Suzuko, knows that he cannot give her to Nanjo because of Nanjo's past. Suzuko thinks that Manami also loves Nanjo, even though she hates him. Eiichi finally confessed his love to Suzuko. But Suzuko's answer was cold. A few days later, Suzuko collapsed and eventually underwent surgery and learned that she did not have long to live.
