This series chronicled the life of Da Yu Er, a princess of the Khorchin tribe who rose to become the Empress of the Qing dynasty in the mid-1600s. She helped guide the newly founded dynasty through the reigns of three emperors. With her wisdom and integrity, Da Yu Er won the admiration and respect of many, including her enemies. Her marriage to the Emperor Huang Tai Chi was full of mistrust and jealousy. Her enduring love for her childhood sweetheart, Dorgon, became the biggest regret of her life. Edit Translation
