Became one of my instant favorite's
If you want to know if this has a happy ending before you start yes it does. This show got delayed but it was worth the wait. I'm usually very picky but this show felt very well made. I loved all the actors, it felt super high budget, especially for the time traveling. I really enjoyed this fresh concept in Asian drama especially in BLs. Both male leads had great chemistry it really helped me get immersed in the series I hope they get more series together in the future but we shall see what the future holds. I highly recommend this show if you are curious.

Timeslip, paranormal romance, JittiRain strikes again
Adapted from a JittiRain y-novel (author of 2gether & Vice Versa) this was a “rewrite the past to fix the future” PNR.It featured a wooden Krist and revelatory Gawin (I was never a fan until this show), some good rep of things like queer struggles with rights to partner’s medical and life decisions, but awkward chemistry. It certainly wasn’t as bad as I expected.
With Jittirain, one of her main characters is going to be a manipulative liar or extremely unlikeable or both. In this case: unlikeable.
As a result I didn’t particularly enjoy this show, but with Gawin’s performance and some appealing side characters, like Max, I also didn’t hate it.
A rollercoaster of content & characterization packaged in a meh narrative sausage casing left me feeling unmoved but fine. It was fine. I was fine with it.

Be my favourite is my favourite lol
I can easily say this is one of the finest bls of 2023. The story was unique for a bl though the concept reminded me of "Tokyo Revengers". It had significant twists and the story remained interesting throughout the whole series. This series tackled with social issues, coming out, confrontation and more. And the best part is the side characters like Max and pear were given the attention they deserved. The cast was annoyingly perfect. My goodness how do I even express that Gawin Caskey in the lead role was everything. Dare I say removing Mike and giving the role to Gawin was actually a great decision as I cannot picture Mike in such a serious lover boy role after all these comic characters he played. Gawin as Pisaeng was impressive as hell. The character itself is great and bro made it even more beautiful. He acts with his eyes. You can see the expressions through his eyes. His eyes are full of emotions and the character is well detailed. I cannot imagine a better Pisaeng than Gavin. He is literally what we call a man written by women. Total green flag and a ray of hope in the toxic world of bl.
Now for Krist. I'm impressed. In sotus he looked hesitant and uncomfortable in most parts but in be my favourite his acting improved significantly. He seemed much more comfortable with bl. The character was so chaotic which only shows how versatile he is as an actor. I would even go out of my way and say GawinKrist have more chemistry than kongarthit ever had.
I think I was the only one who genuinely appreciated the idea of Gawin replacing Mike. I'm not trying to disrespect Mike but It's just that Gawin goes more with the character. Gawinkrist is the best thing that happened on gmmtv this year.
And finally the osts were fire. Didn't skip the intro even once.
I would love to see this pair doing more work. And I really hope Gawin will get the appreciation he deserves.

one of the best show..
starting from the acting it was genuinely so impressive. I really liked each and every character. so glad Paer wasn't like the 'mean girl of the bl plot' because that'd be very sad.krist as kawi literally took my heart away and gawin my man soo amazing I really loved his performance here.
coming to the story I loved it sooo much literally the best part of show is actually the story. it takes pretty fun, intresting and intense twist and turns. besides that..
the music.. even though people doesn't really notice but I felt the music of this show was so on point and it fits the whole show very well. it's usually not a highlight but it was a highlight here for me.
what else I liked was there wasn't any forced LGBTQ representation infact it was subtle and so right.
I feel that it's a must watch because this show has all the goods and it has magical watching experience.

UNEXPECTED BUT HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE AND I NEED THEM NOW IN MY LIFE
I didn't really have any grand expectations with the series as I have found out that I don't really enjoy other BLs once I had watched this one series that raised all my standards. Aside from the usual reasons of loving a series such as acting or plot, what I really like when it comes to a series/movie or anything to watch is the lessons that they will spread which Be My Favorite has given. Every action has its consequences, do not be greedy, learn to appreciate what you have etc etc. I'm really looking forward to the end and I know there's probably going to be angst there.Likes:
• Acting & Chemistry
• Plot
• Soundtrack
• Main & Side Characters
• Development of both the story and the characters
• Lessons
• Everything
Dislikes:
• Time I have to get to another episode. TwT

Sweet
I do like the story and the acting, the acting which is a pet peeve of mine from Thai dramas & has resulted in me dropping a lot of their dramas is fortunately not an issue here as the plot and acting in this one is really good.
Currently @ ep 10 and I’m seriously frustrated with Kawi. He claims to want an equal relationship but that’s not what’s happening, Pisaeng still always has to give in to his wishes and demands, every thing they do is on Kawi’s terms, Pisaeng wanted to stay home but Kawi forced or cajoled however you wanna look at it, to go to the amusement park, Pisaeng ok we are here now, let’s get on a ride, in true Kawi form, he says no and sulks/walks back to the car, like seriously, that really pissed me off.
As long as Kawhi bats his eyelashes and says please Pisaeng will just give in like a simp, while it was tolerable before they became official now it’s just plain stupid especially after the whole “be equal in the relationship” passionate speech.
Rewatch Value 4/10
Overall Value 7.5/10
PS: will update review and rating after completing the drama
Update: completed the drama. I will slightly change my rating from 7.5/10 to 8/10.
Their domestic montage in ep11 was cute and adorable.

Who will be Pearmai’s hubby
The show name should be ‘Who will be Pearmai’s hubby’ lol .. with each turn of crystal ball, Pear changed his future husband.Overall a cute and watchable show. Nice acting with great visuals, nice chemistry and believable events (not the time travel part) with sufficient (not over the top) romance and happy ending. Female characters were quite breathable and not at all toxic. No communication gap among characters, no misunderstandings and no antagonist.
What else can we expect from a good bl..
Expect to see this couple again in some bl. Gavin is ?

An excellent portrayal of the beauty and struggles of queer love
This was just beautiful! ♥Kudos to P'Wa, the screenwriter, and none other than the praiseworthy cast. The pacing and the amount of content in each episode were so incredible. You don't have to wait long for things to happen, they start happening from episode 1. This show takes you through the characters coming to terms with their sexuality, dealing with their emotions and internal struggles, and accepting who they are. It shows different kinds of parent-kid relationships, friendships, and romantic relationships. It does it all in the most realistic way even after being based on a sci-fi theme. The character development in this show is definitely noteworthy, especially Kawi's character. I loved how this show has very well-written characters; apart from the main ones, they gave life to the secondary characters. It gave us a strong female character and a wonderful best friend that we all wish for. This show has cuteness, fluff, sweetness, humor, sadness, life lessons, and everything in between led by a touch of reality. My favorite part is definitely the realistic representation of queerness and their internal and external everyday struggles in a society where their rights are not recognized. This show is very detail-oriented, well thought out, and seems almost as if everything is exactly how it's supposed to be.
Talking about GawinKrist, who would've thought they'd have such a natural and electric chemistry? I have followed their works separately for a while now but never thought they'd come together and give us something this amazing. Both have done justice to their characters. Krist has such an incredible emotional range, he can portray any form of emotion and go back and forth within a matter of seconds. He's an insanely cute 20-year-old baby one moment and a serious 30-year-old adult the very next. Kawi had the most character growth in the show and goes through all sorts of emotions and experiences and Krist portrayed every phase/aspect of that very well. Gawin gave us a beautiful portrayal of a very calm, patient, understanding, and optimistic -- the greenest flag character -- Pisaeng. It felt as if those characters were written with them in mind. Apart from them, all the secondary roles were portrayed very nicely, especially by Aye, Aou, and Title as Pear, Max, and Knot.
P.S. Having singer main leads is definitely a bonus! The OSTs are amazing!
P.S.S. For people hesitating to watch this because of Krist, I hope you'll give it a try with an open mind and see it for the character rather than the person himself. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't wanna miss out on something this good! :)

Be My Fairytale
I am so happy I started watching this series, twelve weeks ago! What seemed like a fun drama with an interesting time-travel related plot, became a show full of heart and love and search of identity. The plot mostly revolves around Kawi, Pisaeng, and Pear, and the story is mostly told using their points of view, but the side characters are also perfect at capturing the affection of the audience.
I loved how they used time-travel as a storytelling device and as plot development, other than character development. I personally love stories about time travel, but they need to be perfectly told to be appreciated to the max, and this one was just right. I used the term "fairytale" in the title, just because the way it's told plus the feeling of joy that watching it gave me over the past twelve weeks, made me think of that kind of story. The sound from the songs has the perfect fairytale vibe that carries this series, and the main theme music is very catchy.
Krist and Gawin are absolutely perfect in their roles, and I loved seeing them playing different characters from what I've seen them as before, with Krist as a mostly stoic character in SOTUS and Gawin as a mostly bad boy in the Kiss Me Again/Dark Blue Kiss series (his character in Not Me might seem a little more similar to Pisaeng, I think? but he's definitely way more sad there. I loved seeing him smile more here: he has a lovely face and happiness suits him).
Overall, as I said, it's a lovely, lovely series that will not disappoint you if you're looking for a heartwarming story and a beautiful romance.

I’m in love
I can’t believe this became my favorite BL. I literally had zero expectations, and then they gave us the BEST character of the entire BL world: Pisaeng. The story is so good, and I love the fact that they changed things from the novel! And let’s talk about the cast: everyone was so perfect and fitted the characters perfectly.I laughed and cried so much during the whole serie, and I’m so happy that I decided to give this serie a chance.
Last thing: I’m for real in love with Pisaeng. I need a man like him in my life?

Incorporates Many Aspects I Didn't Think They Would
(Very Light Spoilers!) Unexpected surprises in this series! A perfect slice-of-life genre!
I did not expect them to talk about life, discuss various relationships, autonomy of one's own body and love and choices, even older generation talking and understanding about their children's life.
I loved it.
Krist's acting can be a bit of cringey at times but I will give him benefit of doubt because I believe the character he is playing is supposed to be like that. Krist's character is immature, whiny and self-deprecating. While I can dislike the continuous negative self-talk, I can empthaize with him.Because only if you are in a disadvantaged position and a bit accustomed to stay in your own head, that is how you will act.
Also, it is Kawi's predicament that has made him cynical. His mother left him, his father is sick and they never had enough money and people tell him that he is ungrateful son because he has chosen a stream to study that is not very lucrative in job market (this part hit me the most because I find many similarities with my country and the people's mindset here) .
It is really easy to fall into self-deprecating behaviour. It is his own insecurity that makes him stay away from people in fear of judgement.
And as a side effect, that distance creates a rift among people who could have actually helped him.
Krist's acting has become very natural. He does not shy away from the bold scenes. Even though there is not much, he has become far better since SOTUS. I found Kawi to be a great character full of follies and foibles who slowly understands and rectifies his mistakes.
Gawin Caseky is brilliant. I am his fan since NOT ME Series and he did not disappoint.
Aou as Max is probably my most favourite character aside from Kwan. He plays the role of the conscience in the story, giving advice, pointing at the mistakes and lending a helping hand whenever needed. Aou looks fabulous, acts even better. Whoever designed his costumes and did the hairstyle deserves a raise.
I will add my precious feelings for Kwan. She is a great friend to Pear, protects her when needed, throws great sardonic punchlines and sees good in people even when those people have hurt her. The actress of Kwan Justina Suvanvihok is not a brilliant actress but she has been an assistant director and screenwriter previously. Colour me surprised!
Absolutely amazing how they gave space to talk about the side characters. I feel the female characters in BLs are often not much talked about in the plot. But we see a beautiful storyline for them too. I saw Aye first in A Tale of Thousands Stars as Torfan and while she had very little space to act her parts, she definitely shined. I am so happy to see her in this series where even though she is a support character, she has her own story and arc. And she did it deftly.
Overall I absolutely enjoyed the message of the story.
The shots, the lighting, the locations are well chosen. Especially the last scene where they are sitting in a beach, WHAT A SHOT! Extra props for Krist and Gawin's improptu singing. I loved the OST and bgms.
I gave it a whopping 8 out of 10. Well deserved.

An underrated gem
I’ve had this series on my list since it finished airing. The plot seemed interesting, but honestly the ML pairing didn’t convince me so much, so I’ve been holding off on seeing it. And now that I decided to give it a go, I’m so mad I didn’t watch it before. I finished this in less than 2 days, that’s how good it is. It’s one of the few series that do the time travel concept right. I feel a lot of the series or movies that do the time travel concept fail by making it to complicated to understand or having production mistakes in the time travel back and forth. But in this series it’s well done. And I also loved that they included more of the LGBTQ community, and they showed a little bit of the real struggles of coming to accept sexuality. Not that much, but still an advancement from other bl’s that don’t even mention it. The only thing is that I love this for the plot, the production and the story. I wasn’t convinced of the chemistry between the ML. They’re both amazing actors, but I feel they don’t work as a on-screen pair. Sometimes it felt more like a bromance than a romance. But since I wasn’t convinced of this pairing since the beginning, I expected it. So it didn’t ruin it for me, because the rest was so good. Overall, this really underrated, it deserves more than the 8.0 rating and it will definitely go on my favorite bl’s list. Was this review helpful to you?
