Reviews
Addresses pertinent issues and strives to eradicate stigma while providing a source of amusement
This is the first time I'm discussing the merits of a Filipino drama. Despite being a Filipino myself, I find it challenging to watch series set in my homeland due to their cliches and portrayal. This drama features a fierce, intelligent, and talented female lead. I'm not sure where you guys are from, but females are frequently portrayed in the Philippines as slaves to men and the patriarchal society. Additionally, the show addresses numerous stigmas relevant to this date, including sexually transmitted diseases, lgbtqia+, safe sex, and self-pleasure.
Thanks to the spontaneous amount of laughter this drama provides, you get to learn while having a good time. Binge-worthy. The cast is formidable, and they are well-known for a reason. THE ACTING WAS OUTSTANDING!
Dealing with Stigmas
I truly like how the show deals with actually relevant topics that are often stigmatized even in today's society. You can find a lot of topics like premature ejaculation, STDs, and more being discussed.
But the best thing has to be their way to demonstrate certain topics. They do it by showing people who are currently experiencing that situation and those people look like any other ordinary human being you could randomly meet on the street. I feel like this makes the show a lot more relatable instead of having models performing those roles.
Also a lot of humor.
My favorite character has to be Cassandra especially in the episode where we see, where she clearly deifies a person, our lovely doc. Her pure gaze still got me tripping.
Still waiting for season 2 though, lol.
