The gentleness and fluffiness wins
Ain’t perfect but everyone’s screen presence is worthy of attention. To be honest, it has the standard cringe and overused romantic scenes. However, Ai and Nhai's chemistry is undeniably strong. Given their eye-candy visuals along with their vibrating sexy postures, their combination is just so fun to watch. They bring a curve to my lips. The circle of friends, their fathers, and some of the supporting characters bring great contributions to support the flow of the main character’s story. I just hope that they showcase more time to carry out the other featured couples. How I wish I could see more of Nine’s blossoming romance with the singer suitor of his. There are too many things left untold in the ending but I am fine with how things end already.
Needless to say, the drama is inconsistent in maintaining the distinct flow of the story. But the important thing is, it isn’t as bad compared to some. The groovy soundtracks from this show are so great that they added more color to the story. In general, it just needs a little flourishing and a unique set-up of things. But as I said, the tenderness of the characters made me drive myself to the end.

Fluff, Just Pure Tooth-Rotting Fluff
Picked up this series because I think I saw a review that said this is just pure sweet stuff and boy was that true.Story:
Story starts with Ai being forced to come back home by his dad because he was expelled from his university. His dad helped him to get into a university where he used to teach and that's when he met Nhai for the first time and likes him. Thanks to one duck keychain, their first interaction happens although no name is exchanged. What follows is just sweet fluff where after a drunk event, Ai is living with Nhai on a trial boyfriend period.
What happens next is just them being in a domestic living together, spending time with each other, going to the uni and general day-to-day behavior. The one thing that I like from this series is that how even if Nhai seems childish and chaotic at times, he still know how to voice his likes, dislikes, concerns and feeling. This in turn makes any argument that they were having lasted only like a quarter of the episodes or so, before they communicate with each other and solves it together. There was no real villain here, and even if there are some bad people, it was dealt with quickly in just a few episodes without making it too much of a drag and it goes back to the sweet fluff again.
Subjectively, I think this is perfect because I love the domestic life fluff. But objectively speaking, there are lots of plot holes and weird scenes that don't make sense chronologically. There are also some things that I just really can't see it happening logically. But because I am a subjective person in watching BL, I chose to ignore those plot holes and illogical scenes.
Acting:
Sweet, sweet, very sweet, extra sweet, with sugar on top. But seriously, I think the acting was fine. There are definitely room for improvements but at least for me, they all are enjoyable to watch
Last words: if you just want some brainless domestic with an extra serving of skinship, do give this series a try. But if a cohesive story and scenes is a must for you, this might not be something that you would like much.

YOU'RE IN FOR A NO-DRAMA DRAMA
I said what I said because there's literally almost no drama in this series between the main characters other than couples bickering and finding their way to love one another. All the other dramas scattered within the series has insanely easy solutions to them that you don't even feel excited or thrilled when it ends. Also, Chen Nai is the cutest character i've ever seen through out BLs I've watched. Yet, the reason for that was because they designed the character to be very VERY dumb. Anyway, beside the fact that he's dumb, he still holds the gold medal for being the cutest bottom i've ever watched on screen. They did the character badly and well simultaniously.
The story was interesting, digging into unexpected aspects, which keeps the audience stayed in their seats but like I said, I was not carried out well.
Nevertheless, I'll save this drama for days I feel like I need to have a boost of silliness and pure joy, with no conflicts and unfortunate incidents happening. I'm sure I'll find my smile back by watching this series. ?

Good but wasted potential
This drama overall was good. The storyline was good, acting was good, and it was very refreshing coming out of all the dark series releasing around the same time. Was it amazing ? …no. I feel like the story had so much wasted potential. I love the emotional chemistry between characters relating to trauma so when they didn’t make Ai’s situation with his mom as big of a deal as I thought it could’ve been, I was disappointed. I needed more emotional scenes between Ai and Nhai especially Ai because i feel like he never opened up the whole series which made his character feel npc like. Without those scenes the storyline seemed dry and felt like it was missing something. Don’t get me wrong Ai was a very developed character but the exicution just wasnt quite there. Overall though it was just another university BL and was quite refreshing to watch:)Was this review helpful to you?
WOW What a "Gem"
Wow, is all i can say this series is sutch a Gem! It dose not have a lot of drama. The main couple get's together fast. And it's over all a realy good series! Yee it do ofc have it's flaws but its sooo good that you dont notice it unless your looking for them! This is a grate BL if you are just looking in to BL's for the first time or if you are a BL Stan! I would say it is a good mix of what you want in a series! The only problem i can find is that we dont know at this point if we will be getting a season 2!Was this review helpful to you?
ChenNhai Express
Well it was losing your braincells journey. You don't need to use your brain to watch this series. Only thing that is good about this drama was Ai. Well it had a great starting but failed at everything. It didn't make any difference or sense in anyway. The fluffy things were good at first but got bored at last. And why they added the side characters story when they wouldn't show those stories properly. And what the hell was the point of this drama??????I wouldn't recommend this drama to anyone. There are other ton's of dramas much better than this. It was not so bad but definitely not good for currently watching drama. But that's it. Definitely no for binge watching.

Even if it's not your cup of tea, It's a good series
First of all, I would like to talk about the harsh reviews I seen. I would not ask everyone to like it but the way they review this series is not justified at all.The plot is nothing serious but it is okay, it is lighthearted and heartwarming, nothing too unexpected or plot twist. It's just an rom-com with unnecessary drama and misunderstanding.
The acting, I won't say it's the best, but the 10/10 is for how the leading role interpret their characters. Ai played by Meen is the whole green forest, it's unreal but he's an ideal boyfriend and husband materials. As for Nhai played by Ping, you might found him brainless and silly, however there's really someone like this in real life. And Ping really presented the character really charming, he made it so natural and not awkward at all. The supporting roles also added the colors to the series really well.
Overall, I would rate this as my comfort zone series. I can watch this when I feel real life is too stress.

don't let the bad reviews get you
is it good ? clearly not the best out therebut if you're looking for cute, simple and heartfelt I would say go for it
I started watching it as a background while I was doing something else, if you're watching it like me 10/10, it's easy to follow and I honestly had a pretty good time!
if you're looking for a serie with a good plot and interesting characters well that's probably not this one, don't expect too much for it, you will probably be a bit disappointed by the plot holes and the lack of storyline in general so be aware of this before going in!

I quite enjoyed it and I like MeenPing here even more than in My Dear Gangster Oppa, which made me watch Ai long Nhai for MeenPing. :D
I love their communication and how they handle certain topics in the show. (Overcoming internalized homophobia, coming out, the question about "is it necessary to announce a relationship?" (I love Nhais opinion to this!)) Ai is so caring and I like that he really stops when Nhai doesn't want anything . Consens. c: Also the fact, that both show their love verbally for each other made me really happen. It's often just the "top" who speaks about his adoration for his partner, but here, Nhai also tell Ai what he feels for him and how strong these feelings are. But I wish he would do it more often. The same with skinship and kisses. Nhai is often defensive and distant. After some time it's a bit annoying, tbh. But I also like that Ai doesn't push Nhai, but gives him the time Nhai needs.
It's really not as bad as people say. I dislike their nicknames (wife&husband) for each other (because of obvious reasons) but this problem is a Thai-Problem. We see it in multiple shows.
I liked the acting, the flirting, the humour and how light everything was. I don't need heavy plots and I like some good fluff. Nhai, for me, wasn't as annoying as some people think. Sure, some things were overdone, but that's the style of the show and I don't think it's horrible. Ping is able to act whiny and annoying characters in a way where it's still comfortable and entertaining to watch. I see, that Nhai is supposed to be annoying and exhausting, but he doesn't annoy me, you know? :D
The side characters don't add too much to the show, but they are quite funny. Jida is a refreshing female sidecharacter. Finally not an annoying female obstacle. I love the support from the boys! They made me laugh multiple times and Nine is such a cutie. Also Ai's Dads were so much fun to watch! They are so precious together. T_T
I hesitated a long time to watch this show. I even deleted it multiple times from my watchlist, because some reviews were just soo bad. But than I gave it a try and I was really surprised. It was really fun to watch! After episode 6 I had a mildly hard time to get back to it and the last episodes were a bit boring. Some scenes were still funny and made me giggle, but overall it's a bit too long for a character-driven show. But I made it through it, wuhu. *Clap clap*

IF CONFUSING WAS A BL
Is this a series to write home about? "NO"Is this a series you are going to recommend "NO"
Is this a series you are willing to re-watch "NO"
The whole story of AiLhongNai is very confusing, initially the story was about a stubborn Ai who has to follow his father to Thailand because of quarreling in his formal school.
Then a whole bunch of characters are introduced. The series would have been much better if it had just 6 episodes and that's all.
Each and every episode has a different dimension which i think is very boring.
Ai met Nai and they fell in love simple. But they are trying to build unnecessary side couples out of Nai's friends which is really irrelevant to the main plot.
The only good thing about this series is that is not clingy or else is a big "NO"
Views keeps dropping per each episode on YT.
The series is very tiring to watch.

Very Good. One of my Fav Series.
6/10Negative:
1. The Witch Rajin. She wanted to break up the Maincouple. But luckily she didn't make it. The couple has a strong bond.
2. I didn't like the way Witch Rajin handled her son.
3. I would have liked to see 1-2 more lovescenes.
4. I thought it was a pity that Nhai rejected Ai's kiss in a few episodes towards the end. At the beginning of the episodes it worked so well.
Positive:
1. The Maincouple
2. Acting was very good.
3. Finally one Series has many kisses. (The maincouple)
4. Story
5. I liked that Ai had a gaycouple as parents. Its something new. :-)
6. Jaonan. He was very kind with Nhai. The two got along really well. I loved it. I would have had no problem with Jaonan and Nhai having an affair (or falling in love). It would have been something completely different that you wouldn't expect. I like this Idea.

A light, entertaining BL drama
Bi-boy falls in love with straight-boy at first sight and pursues him until he wins his heart. That's pretty much it for this drama. No drama.Plus: EYE CANDY
It's a good cast with a thin story, but it moves so fast and there are hardly any surprises, so you'll enjoy it like a fast food meal.
Minus: I've noticed it more often lately in Thai-BL & don't quite understand it ... a gay character falls in love with a straight guy and seamlessly turns him into one! My opinion is that this approach is absurd and might send the wrong message to the masses.
