Than Chai Parut comes back to Thailand from studying abroad and instead of returning home to Chiang Mai he vanishes to Bangkok in search of a job related to his field of study: food. Min's family owns a restaurant running out of business. To save their business from dying they hire Parut to be their cook, after he promises to help save their business. To their surprise this nobody Parut can cook and especially can cook a dish called 'tum yum koong,' which is a popular dish among customers. Unbeknownst to Min's family, Parut is actually from a wealthy royal family, and has been secretly sending Min bouquets in the name of 'Than Chai Tum Yum Koong.'
