Lovely, unique, messy
I like the first a lot more. The story kinda of dragged a lot at the end. They didn't set up the viewers to be invested in the mystery part of the plot so I was only interested in the romance and the characters.
So the show should have ended 1 episode after they got together in my opinion and the killer should have been the father, that way the plot wouldn't be messy. ( too much )
Also I feel like they were trying to create a sense of community/ found family ( I don't know how to explain this well) like in those small town dramas
But I don't think it worked well here as we didn't know the stories of the individuals nor did we need to. So that's another thing that made the drama messy was too many unnecessary characters.

It started off as bland but then when you started to understand why things happened the way they did, it started getting interesting. Especially the murder mystery embroiled between the characters and trust me, when the real murder was revealed it actually got me by surprise. cuz I NEVER saw that coming!! and the reason behind it is something no one could have guessed! That's why I said, things get interesting when you know why they did to why they did.And a [rose] for Kim So Hyun, my baby is getting better in her acting with each of her projects. [heart] [heart]

If you don't have anything else to watch.... check this one ...
the premise of the story is interesting.... a girl that can hear lies and how can she cope with that.In a world where we are in constant "please others" mode... lying is a giving. So you can imagine what kind of life this girl has.
But as a smart woman... she had made a business out of it.
Here I thought.. GOOD FOR YOU! she is not a victim...
Of course, she meets the ML and there is something strange with him.. (typical.. he is the exception to the rule).
I liked that she behaved very normal with him... even though he is super famous and used to have everybody wanting something from him.
She does not need him... that is a big difference.
their romance started with a sort of friendship and moved quickly into something else... that was nice.
the story itself was OK.... It kept me interested until the end...
I took points out because the end was a bit blah....
SPOILER HERE
she decided not to profit from her gift and stop using it as a business... I do not understand why, instead of evolving with it, she quits it...
her romance with ML was cute / a bit childish too. Again one of the many k-couples that have never kissed anyone else, and behave like teenagers, even though they are 30 year old.
Overall.. it is an OK story... if you have nothing else to watch, it is OK.

They delivered what they promised, an breezy full of butterfiles romcoms with a twist of mystery!
I understand that people may have two different camps in seeing how Min Hyun’s acting on screen but I strongly, I repeat, I STRONGLY, believe he delivers what Do Ha/ Seung Ju is supposed to be as a character. His awkwardness but direct personality shines through his acting. He perfectly portrays how years of distrust actually shaped him as a person and that is why trust is really the currency that he responded to, underneath he is still a shy and direct person. So Min Hyun, if you ever come across to this comment section, believe us that YOU DID WELL!The plot twist from Deuk Chan’s motive is not really the best shot, it would be more intriguing if the pas GF was really killed herself and everyone was just doubtful of Seung Ju because of the circumstances and easily dismissed all of his background an track records. It is a hard situation and therefore really intriguing to explore.
But setting aside the above, kudos to the production team who breaks all the KDrama rom com trope that I did not like: Miscommunication between the leads!!
Kdrama romcom usually spends a lot of time just to make us frustrated of why the leads does not have an open and honest conversation and deals with it cool headed. They like to throw the typical trope - I love you so it’s better for you to stay away from me, kind of thing which is so 2010 man.
Here they spent less than 2 episode of some quick truth checking and our main leads back on track without any presumption and annoying will they wont they thing which can easily drag the drama. That’s how big trust and open communication are placed in the front and center theme of this drama.
Few more details that I love as decades long of a Kdrama fan here: They did not make the ML good at cooking! ? well he did his best but the thoughts and effort that counts! Not everyone has to be perfect! And the FL is so confident and far from a damsel in distress type of girl which I love.
I do figure some gaps in writing and my guess is bcs they added some details on the spot. It may be unpopular opinion, but I ADORE THAT APPROACH. It is so refreshing and that is what makes this drama extra special! How often you see the NG scenes are actually included in the final cuts, the casts and the director must have the same braincells that their humor works.
So again overall if you are looking for an easy breezy romcoms that will give you butterflies - and not the kind of I am a rich heir and therefore I am here with all my staff to save you kind of thing - go watch this! They really have the GREENEST relationship in a KDrama land where you both know you need each other and you placed trust and communication as bridge to keep the relationship healthy.
They promise us a romantic comedy with a dash of mistery, and sure thing they delivered it!
So an easy 8.5/10 from a kdrama fan here!!

Good till it became a drag
The show did start off with a bang. The suspense factor was really there which I loved. The way the show made us believe that the ex k worded herself just for us to find out she was actually murdered. The romance factor I feel was so comforting and cute. I do wish we got more of it than the suspense part sometimes but other than that it was actually so good. I think I loved it even more since I love the two main actors in it.
The only thing I feel made this show kinda meh at points was the random scenes with other characters. Also the plot twist of the best friend liking Do Ha was good but like at the same time kinda was just thrown out there. This also made it a weak point on why he killed the girl (even if it was unintentional). Like come on really that is why you did what u did. Just cuz she was gonna expose him to Do Ha is ridiculous and insane to me. I wished it was a more shocking reveal to be honest.
However, I did find comfort in the main lead’s relationship and made me want to continue watching for that.

Once the I realised the Biggest Lie I had to Drop This Sorry Tale
This story is based on a huge flaw.I am dropping this At Episode 8 because of a huge gaping plot anomoly or more like character anomoly that renders it totally dissatisfying. It just hit me at end of Ep 8 that the FL is a huge hypocritical liar and the story should not exist.
I feel so bad for the 2ML, the reason they broke up was purely the FL unwillingness to tell him her secret and so get a clear answer off him. Its not how she could trust him if he couldn't tell her this big secret? Its she is literally lying to him by omission every single day of their relationship. So he is just a noble idiot but she is a liar who, rather than sharing her secret to save the relationship, just breaks up with him. Then, she blames him for cutting her off. When he is just trying to get well to go back to her.
So now that she is honest with ML, it's all ah that's nice they trust each other this is why he's better than 2ML no no no she just lied to the 2ML but doesnt to the ML SHE was and is the problem.. It's just too silly. If she gets honest with 2ML 3 yrs ago he obcs gets honest with her and boom their beautiful love continues they get married have babies.
So its actually farcical that when the 2ML hears that she can hear lies, he didn't explode and say WHAT THE HELL!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO? WHY DIDN'T YOU MAKE ME EXPLAIN? YOU THOUGHT I WAS CHEATING OR SOMETHING WHEN I WAS BREAKING MY HEART TO PROTECT YOU. BUT IT WAS ALL A JOKE CAUSE YOU KNEW I WAS LYING BUT COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO TELL ME!! AND WHEN WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THIS HUGE LIFE AND RELATIONSHIP ALTERING SECRET?? AFTER WE WERE MARRIED WTF YOU ARE THE BIGGEST LIAR OF ANYONE EVER!!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME. Etc etc
So now I feel this whole show and anything that happens now will be tarnished, and I just can't feel happy for the FL for the shitty way she has treated and is treating her ex BF.
She should be married to him. Instead now he and we have to watch her doing with a new guy what she wouldn't do for him be honest!!!!! Specifically at end ep 8 she says you dont have to explain why you apparently lied about killing someone I believe you and trust you so much I dont even want to know why it seems your lying or what it's all about.
She couldn't trust the 2ML the guy she agreed to marry for not telling her why he was going away for a few days!!! We also have to watch 2ML being all nice and understanding about it. At the very least, can't he call her out on her unbelievable hypocrisy. Who writes these glaring plotholes.
Am I making any sense? I think I am.

Something different!
This drama has different story line then other Kdramas. Completed 4 episodes and each episodes hooked you, you won’t be able to make it what is going to happen in the next episode that makes it interesting.I am watching this two main leads for the first time, so far liked their acting and chemistry in their respective roles.
Secondly, what I like about this drama is that there is no cringy/extra cheesy friends character that makes me skip /fwd the drama:
Overall the drama is so far so good and I hope it keeps it’s momentum for rest of the episodes.

Who is the actual "LOVELY LIAR"?
First thing first is I have enjoyed watching this amazing drama over the pass 8 weeks,
I never would have thought my Mondays & Tuesdays would come alive each week.
The story is unique with the female lead Sol Hee can hear lies but what I found funny
she tells lies as well to hear them lol. The Male Lead Do Ha is a Composer, adorable and a
sweet heart that lives in fear as he was framed of killing his ex. The CEO made him hide from
everyone and never been seeing in public or while composing. Even via Video conference he
hides his true identity. When Sol Hee met Do Ha she noticed he never tell lies which complicate matters
when she tried to figure things out after he told her about him been framed for a crime he didn't commit.
For the first time, Sol Hee heard a lie after Do Ha's subconscious part of his mind believes he killed his ex
but said "I did not kill her" in his sleep.
Over the time she figured out why she heard that as a lie and remembered her ex told her something
that she heard it as a lie and in fact it was because he had cancer and he was protecting her from
going through the sorrows of his health. She then realized Do Ha was telling the truth so she finally believed him
as not been the killer and they worked together in hunting the actual culprit. I won't spoil everything as it would
not be fun to watch knowing everything. This part of the Drama is a bit complicated to understand while watching
It is best to find out who killed Do Ha's ex while watching! I admit that I guessed who it was but got
confused a couple of times and thats what made the story enjoyable because the writers makes the
viewers play detectives along the way lol. Awaiting last 2 episodes to find out who was the Lovely Liar!
Update!!!!
After completing the entire series, I updated my overall score at 9.5/10 because they should have kissed
after the proposal or at the last scene. I loved episode 15 with the scene the female lead finally called him Oppa!

A Simple But Cute Relationship
I'd like to point out that their relationship isn't as extraordinary as in other dramas, but rather simple and adorable. The plot is primarily based on the trauma of the male lead and some of the trauma of the female lead. Kim Do Ha was traumatized by his girlfriend, who possibly committed suicide. As a result, he was arrested because they believe he is the murderer. At one point, he appears to believe he is a murderer because he was responsible for his girlfriend's death. He has become a well-known songwriter and has distanced himself from the public eye as a result of that case that occurred many years ago. Now, let's talk about the trauma of the female lead. Sol-Hee's trauma was caused by her mother, she discovered her mother was conning people to make money when she was young. When one of the people her mother conned met her, the female lead realized she was telling the truth and helped in finding the money. When she discovered the money, this person ran with it. For many years, she felt indebted to her mother because of this. Her power may appear to others as a blessing, but it is a curse to her. She can tell if someone is lying but cannot tell why they are lying. She couldn't date for very long due to this power, and also the reason why she and her mother don't get along well. The relationship between the male lead and the female lead began when he moved next door due to reporters wanting to know how he looks. At first, their relationship was simply that of neighbors, but they slowly came to know each other better. He would always hide his face from people and she accidentally helped him because of her powers. She thought he was strange for hiding his face, her curiosity got the best of her and she took down his mask to see how he looks. She later discovered he was the famous songwriter Kim Do Ha before he told her because of work (it's a job where she gets paid to tell someone if someone else is lying to them or not). He eventually gains confidence in showing his face to the female lead. Was this review helpful to you?
No one notices how sub-par the writing is? No one notice how confusing and similar the fl lie/truth bells are? No one noticed all the chance meetings that take place to a ridiculous degree? Leads end up in the same apartment building (apartment b. Is huge with an elevator for several floors, but ml moves right next door to fl. What are the odds? Plus their balconies happen to be side by side). Fl wishes to see ml and magically he happens to be walking right in front of her store. Ml gets out of car at the exact moment fl is leaving apartment building. Fl happens to stop by at a jazz club ml regularly plays the piano at and of course this is the night he's there. No one in a city would run into each other like this. Heck they wouldn't even run into each other like this in a small village. Leads have been in Seoul for 5 years and managed just fine to never cross paths. But suddenly to drive the plot forward in this story they by chance come across each other daily?? Wtf? Also, the cliche Kdramas refuse to let go of where ml and fl know each other in the past is beyond over the hill. This is just lazy writing plain and simple. You have to turn your brain off with a lot of these shows I swear...I mean you know it's bad when you got the female lead legit hopping like a bunny in front of the male lead.
