Konno Misuzu is reaching the end of her tether with her job as a tour guide. For her efforts of shepherding obnoxious, demanding Japanese tourists through customs and around the sights of Bangkok, she gets little pay and no thanks. Yet when she spends two days doggedly searching for her charge's passports, which the hotel lost, Misuzu gets a boot on the can instead of a pat on the back. With passports in hand and brimming full of pent-up rage, she approaches two punks—a Japanese college dropout named Tondabayashi and his half-Japanese, half-Thai associate Joy—who bilked her out of chump change the previous day.
