A Very Enjoyable Watch
Although the story concept isn’t new, it was very funny. The script was the right mix of comedy and drama. I wish the script for Rak Diao was more like this. I found the pacing to be just right for an 8-episode series. The actors were also great portraying their characters. The only down side is the music was not that rememberable. However, it was used effectively to set the mood of the scenes. I would rewatch this again to help left up my mood after an excessively dramatical series.Random Note:
The description on Viki is not completely accurate, which is nothing new. The description on MDL also not the greatest.
I like the silent nod (papercut incident) to the lead actors’ previous series.

it's simple and lovely
IT'S SO FUCKING CUTE AND SILLY AND LOVELY AND EVERYTHING TO MEEEE.I love it when a series it's silly. They know they are silly. And they do a great job of being silly and proud to be silly. And they are very proud.
It's not a deep plot, it's actually a cliché. Enemies to friends to lovers, and it's cute and funny! I liked how even with just 8 episodes with 30 minutes each, they are actually developed. Not only as a couple but as individuals too.
And, the acting was so on point. Seobin (Jaeyoon) and Jiwoong (Hojoon) are really good actors, and their chemistry is amazing.
And ofc, I have to say: THE KISS???????? OMG that was a kiss. A very kissy kiss. Hojoon was hungry. Damn...
Sometimes, less is more. And it's exactly why Roommates of Poongduck 304 is so good: It's simple, but they work with what they have. They didn't try to make it look like something grand, it's just simple. And way too good.

Very good show
There were many things to enjoy about this show. If you've watched a good share of Korean BLs before, you might recognize the two main characters of Kissable Lips. This show doesn't have a supernatural theme (thankfully?) and I believe it was developed much more nicely, both in terms of plot and in terms of character growth.- The trope that starts off this drama is the forced proximity, which is a personal favorite. Most of the story revolves around their work days in the company, and (surprise!) they ACTUALLY WORK. It might sound absurd to be surprised about it, but for some reason it's hard to find office romance series where the main characters actually work instead of just flirting with each other all the time, especially if one of them is a rich and spoiled chaebol.
- The plot is actually interesting. We don't just see the characters randomly growing fond of each other: they actually get to know about each other's personal struggles and private lives, they support each other at work and outside of it, and most importantly they clash with their personal ideas while also reflecting on themselves to change for the better. The fact that they're a team manager and an employee might make it sound like there's an overwhelming power imbalance, but the writers were able to make a very healthy and balanced couple out of these two. Loved to see it.
- The acting, the set, and the photography were pretty good. It didn't have the feeling of one of those huge, high-budget dramas, but I felt like the production team poured a lot of work and care into it.
- The relationship dynamics were pretty good. The chemistry between the two main leads was excellent (maybe the fact that they starred in another drama together in the past helped with it?), but I also liked to see Ho Jun with his father and the secretary, Jae Yoon and his friend/crush, the two of them with their team mates. The atmosphere was always lively and all the characters are likeable, I never felt bored.
- The changes in the characters from the beginning to the end of the series were blatant, but their build-up was SO. WELL. DONE. They become a lovely couple without leaving me wondering how did it happen, nor did it ever feel like their character development was out of place.
- There is a flaw in the plot, which is an overused plot device that lots of series (especially Korean BLs) use toward the end for a bigger dramatic effect. I'm not going to say what is it since I don't want to spoil anything, but I feel like this is what made me rate the series with a 9 instead of 10.
In conclusion, I really have to recommend this one. It might not be one of the best BLs ever, but it was cute and fun to watch, and also so well done under many aspects that it would be a shame to skip it.

Mature script for the most part, cute cast, solid acting
Mature script for the most part, cute cast, solid acting. This is one of the more mature BL's I have seen. And I greatly appreciated it. It had a small bit of silliness and just sophisticated acting. Cute couple. I appreciate not having to deal with the usual Shenanigans. The story is typical with the rich guy/ poor guy romance drama, who work in the same office and someomhow see each other all the time. I'm ready for a new Troup. I am pleased that I watched this tough. The actors did well. Shows of affection were very soft and I still liked it. That's saying something.

Cute
Cliche but cute. Fun to watch. Pace is good. Actors are handsome. Their acting is good. Also their chemistry. And that final kiss... Oh! That final kiss! :))))) Definitely worth waiting for 8 episodes! I'm guilty but I'm happy. ;)
Binge watched it after an agonizing day at work and bad news from the doctors. Put me to sleep in a positive mood. :)))
Thank you!
It's a short series with short episodes, why do I have to write 500 characters? Unless you want me to just tell the entire narrative. Really! :)))))))))

Great to watch just for laughs and cuteness!!!
It was awesomeThe story is funny and simple, there was a small cast which is great, not too many names to remember. It definitely gave K-drama feels. Not cringy to me at all.
I watched Kissable lips and the ending made me sad. This series was a great way of paying me back for that!! It was funny, cute, and warm. Lately, it seems like there's an "if you don't cry it's not a good series" theme going on, and sorry but sometimes I just want to laugh and enjoy the series. It doesn't have to be serious all the time. This was a great series for me. I hope they do more together their chemistry was great.

if only there was MORE
PRODUCTION:was STELLAR. i loved how everything looked, how everything was shot, how everything sounded. a couple of odd camera angels here and there were off. but this one of my favorite music in bls - the ost is something i have had on repeat and i love it. i kinda wish there was a movie version so i could use that to rewatch rather than the whole series tho...
STORY:
is it kinda bare? a little. i wish we had ONE more episode because the pacing kinda goes a little too fast at the end. and the timeline can be a little messy. it seems like they were together for maybe a day when they had their conflict with jae yoon ignoring ho joon - but then we get a flashback scene where they are super domestic? its a little confusing. if they had just one more episode to establish the relationship i would've appreciated it. but the dialogue is beautiful especially in the makeup scene that was so poetic omg.
CHARACTERS / ACTING:
jae yoon (yoon seobin) was such a joy - compared to his role on kissable lips he has so much more to work with. he was funny and delightful - but he still had this innocence around him that was very cute. his drunk scenes were my favorite and i love his snarkiness and how he was eventually able to stick up for himself. he was absolutely my favorite.
ho joon (kim jiwoong) was stellar as well. this rich boy role was so fun for him. and i cried when he cried ? - his character progression was so wonderful i enjoyed every second. plus - again the makeup scene was so great.
if you thought like i did that the only thing even remotely good about kissable lips was the chemistry between seobin and jiwoong then this series turns that up by 11. the enemies->lovers was so much fun and im usually not the biggest fan of those storylines. the domestically with them is so sweet and adorable. they were like high school sweethearts almost. and the ending scene??? oof omg why did they cut out most of that?? they were just amazing together on and off screen they have wonderful chemistry. i want them to work together again in the future SO badly. they are one of my favorite duos for sure.
overall i love this series - i had a few pacing issues but im for sure going to be picking up this series again. and consider if you like kim jiwoong to support him on boys planet!!

Several tropes rolled into 1 rather formulaic show
Roommates of Poongduck 304 features several classic tropes rolled in one. Rich man meets poor man, rich man annoys poor man, they fall in love. Roommates turned lovers. An office romance involving a boss and his subordinate.South Korean Bls often suffer from terrible pacing and at times, poorly-executed edits and transitions. ROP304 is situated slightly above the 50th percentile for South Korean BLs, but overall failed to mesmerise me in the first few episodes. Their chemistry only improves exponentially after they start dating (seriously prepare yourself for sticky sweet love-drunk moments), but I wish this came through earlier.
The conflict was an interesting and somewhat meaningful one – it explores the strain that is placed on the love interest of public figures. Sadly, few BLs have been able to explore the tensions in a way that is comprehensive and meaningful - ROP304 was no exception.

Choux
Was this review helpful to you?
Very likeable KBL story with some great moments
OK so this was a very very good series with a lot of great high-quality moments. I was disappointed with the ending. I thought the breakup and reconciliation was weak. It could have been a lot better. The resignation and the start of the new business to get out from underneath the dad was a great idea but it also could have been stronger and developed better rather than being a got-Ya surprise at the end. I really loved Ji Ho's character. I think Kim did a great job. Sao Jae I found to be sometimes weak in character when he could have been stronger or more sly. Maybe I want to just say that Sao character was inconsistent for me. I gave it a 9 MDL has it at a 7.9 which is too low in my opinion. Was this review helpful to you?
