Cute AND has actual plot
This drama achieves that amazing balance of being an easy watch and still has interesting plot. I find that most dramas with interesting plot can fall into a trap of being too melodramatic and easy watch dramas usually don't have memorable plot. This one somehow manages to be an easy watch and I will be remembering this drama for a long time. Was this review helpful to you?
cheesy & light-hearted
Little to NO action in this drama, just a lot of flirting and 2 or 3 kisses, all in the scenic landscape of Thai mountains. This drama is like a longer commercial to promote tourism. Young actors' clothes and hair-do's are always neat and fashionable with a traditional touch, and everything looks idyllic...The handsome faces save the drama. Otherwise the usual tropes, but i wont point them out, just enjoy this relaxing ride.
Rewatch? Maybe to fill the space while looking for something new.

Was the sequel necessary?
Well, it's a cute story but it's really nothing to write home. There's a clear difference in how experienced the two main actors are which unfortunately caused one to stand out more. Also, the amount of technical filming to make the kisses look like real kisses was a bit off-putting in particular after the fact that the first part of this show didn't have it.
For me, it didn't add anything to the main story and even the brief presence of the two main characters from the Star in My Mind didn't really add to it. It had really nice moments of comedy but overall a bit disappointing.

Far better than Star In My Mind
Director New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul has done extremely good job with this series.Setting of the rural area and giving chance to common villagers with simple faces to be part of this series gave a whole different flavour to the series.
Postive :
1. Giving chance to Mek in BL didn't fail. He is hot, flirty guy and faaar more mature. Giving that there weren't too many misconceptions, miscommunication and side chick issues. There were but they didn't drag it like SIMM series.
2. Location! It's good to see the rural Thailand and we didn't miss it's flavour in anyway. The food, dialect, houses, atmosphere, school, bathing scenes, sports activities, marriage, rituals and beliefs and welcome - farewell ceremonies. Everything was there. Audience could connect to series (Audience here refers to those who like surrounding elements added to give a meaning to the story. Not for those who only wanna see lead pair 24.7 doing kisses).
3. Side characters like Uncle Phang, Village Chief's daughter Yahya (Prigphing who is remarkable actress!) and child actors who played Somphor, Wee Ah and others along with TopTap, Mother of Prince gave the series that sizzling element which was required so the series.
4. Connections. A lot can be said but I liked they added a calamity in village scene. Everybody needed a doctor in dark monsoon's night and day. Cinematographically the scenes got bold in design. A dilemma given to Doctor Pha to choose between other patients and sick boyfriend gave a good twist for climax episodes.
5. Beauty and miniscule intricate details like holding lamps, giving lucky stones moonbathe, spicy foods, traditional clothing and Prince watching from window every night gave a realistic angle to the series.
Neutral Picks :
Pairing of Mek Mark may seem odd at first but their acting is okay. I wanted to cry with happiness in their kissing scenes but couldn't for some reason. (I think tears are best and honest reviewers to tell whether this series was exceptional or not. Be it sad or happy scenes, if your tears come out after watching lots of BLs, we can think the series is rather great in connectivity segment).
There was a room for improvement in lots of scenes. Some scenes didn't make sense but I will ignore them there since there are only 8 episodes and they are giving all elements as much as they could.
OST was again average. Not below average but not any iconic thing either.
Negatives :
1. I felt Sincere character was underused or not properly used. His advices were followed by Chief of the village. But why? What was their relationship that Chief didn't reveal hospital name to Mark? Why?
2. If there could be better finishing segment for Uncle Phang, Pong the Pig it would be better.
Overall this series tries to cover a lot of things to connect with audience and it is successful in that attempt. But this could be perfected in lots of scenes. It could be a masterpiece but falls short for that somewhere. I also felt Prince's character could be improvised too. He only waited for Mek to propose him, to find him. He could do that from his side too.
The concept of the story of rich men with good hearts living among simple people wins the hearts. Sky in your heart!

Good medicine
I came across this somewhat by accident, but it started off pretty good. The story was pretty good, as it didn't contain the usual settings. Both parties were grown and pretty secure within themselves, and knew about accountability. In other words, it had no teenie bopper drama. The setting and back story made sense and the pairing met and things happened naturally. No love at first sight, just good human interaction, that has all the good and bad assumptions thrown in to character judgement. It was fun to watch them get to know each other, while we also got to know their backstory and back ground. Everyone has baggage and we all deal with it differently. This doesn't mean we cannot understand each other. Which this series proved.
His besties did their part in protecting and supporting and that was nice to watch, as they seem to always put each other's happiness before their own. Loved that boi with the glasses, was so funny and supportive of everyone. But Sincere needed to get a couple punches to the gut. He was next level fass and outta place. How he know who can take care of someone better. Worst yet, way Dr. Fah decided to consider what he was saying. Madness. Standing in the rain, I would have knocked him out and taken the car myself.
Their honestly were a few plot holes at the end... Like, how come you can only use the phones to call your lil bro on a daily but not for emergencies?
Why would some stranger be able to tell you not to give out someone else's number? That isn't their place.

It's a fictional story for entertainment purposes
The cast and crew did a great job. They all worked hard and the characters were portrayed as, I expect, intended. If you don't like a series for any reason, the review should be constructive. If you don't like the plot then explain how you think it could've been more appeasing or interesting. Whining about how a character said something that upset you (aka was mean boo hoo) doesn't interest anyone. This plot is different. I wouldn't compare it to ATOTS. There's an obvious difference in the mood and theme of the two series. My critique:
I prefer BLs with more intimacy... the kiss in episode 6 was a bit disappointing, but the kiss in episode 8 was much better. I liked how the characters in this series and SIMM are intertwined. The plot was a bit dull because there wasn't any thrill. It was cute, but not enticing nor intense. It lacked passion. It might actually had worked better more like Baker Boys or My Name Is Tee (not romantic at all), which I don't personally consider to be BLs. I'd rank this with La Cuisine. It is entertaining and had minimal intimacy, but it is not a series I would watch again.
Thank you for reading.

Prince really is the Prince of this series
While this series can draw comparisons between Tale of a Thousand Stars, honestly, leave your opinions behind because this series isn't as dramatic as TTS, but is just as romantic. Also if you've watched Star and Sky: Star in My Mind, then definitely watch this because this series is just as romantic.
Daonuea and Khabkluen also make occasional appearances in this series.
•❅✧❅✦ Story •❅✧❅✦
A spin off from Star and Sky: Star in My Mind, Daonuea's older brother Kuafah arrives at a remote village in the mountains with his two friends after the three of them get into a drunken car accident on the way home from Kuafah's ex's wedding, as portrayed in the original series. The three are sent to the village to do community service as Kuafah is a doctor and the village is in need of a doctor. At the village they meet Prince, who is working there as a volunteer teacher. At first, Kuafah and Prince don't get along as their personalities clash. Kuafah is more impulsive and a disorganized with his life, while Prince is rational and orderly. While they hate each other at first, as they live in the same small village, they end up getting to know one another.
Honestly Prince and Kuafah have a very romantic storyline. It's very beautiful and straightforward. Their storyline isn't overly dramatic, but rather two people who spend lots of time together falling in love. I honestly found all of the shenanigans Kuafah and his friends bring to the series to be hilarious and poor Prince is always the one to walk into it.
Kuafah x Prince
Kuafah and Prince have a very healthy relationship. They fall in love naturally rather than through some very dramatic methods. They always though of each other as good looking, but annoying. However, after spending time together and seeing different sides of each other they fall in love. The way they fell in love felt very mature and realistic, unlike lots of other series out there.
The best part of the series has to be Prince. He actually is the one who seems to be carrying the series. I'm not saying that the other's are not good, but Kuafah's character is a little to stereotypical and less memorable compared to Prince. Throughout the series, I kept wondering about Prince and why he acts a certain way, or why he does certain things. Even though Kuafah is the primary protagonist, Prince had more of my interest than Kuafah. I don't want to be the one to point fingers, but I have noticed that Mek, the actor who portrays Kuafah, always tends to get outshined by his acting partners when he is the male lead. That doesn't mean he is a bad actor, as he does have lead actor qualities, However, unfortunately Mark, who plays prince, definitely carried the series. I hope to see Mark in more series, however, with a new partner who can push his acting abilities further.
•❅✧❅✦ Tale of a Thousand Stars vs Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart •❅✧❅✦
I know there is going to be comparisons, so let's get it out of the way.
At a glance the scenarios are similar, two guys are stuck in the mountains. One guys is more adapted to the mountains, while another is a city boy. One is a volunteer teacher. They have different personalities that clash. They fall in love.
Yes, at a glance the storyline is similar. However, if you take a step back and watch this series without comparing it, you'll find that it's a very different story. Think of it as high school/college based romances. How many high school/ college based romance series involve the popular kid and the nerd? Do you compare all of them together? Probably not.
TTS is more dramatic and very unrealistic. It's everyone's soulmate fantasy. On the other hand, Sky in Your Heart is a little more realistic, and is very light-hearted. Both series are amazing in their own right and shouldn't be compared with each other. Of course TTS is going to have more of an impact as it came first and is more dramatic. But Sky in Your Heart is just as romantic, just with a little less drama... and less episodes.
Please watch both series as they both are great!
•❅✧❅✦ Overall •❅✧❅✦
This series is beautiful and romantic. It's something to watch then you don't want to watch series that are dramatic and complicated. The straight forward and lighthearted romance is beautiful. And Prince is also a feast for your eyes.

A decent Binge
Mmh I was still hyped from Star when I started watching Sky so I was really looking forward to it but I admit I just found the story boring at times. And although it's just 8 episodes I think it could've been shorter than that considering that not much was really happening half way through. And all that drama towards the end just felt like extra fillers to me since I already lost interest at that point. Watching Sky I kept thinking that there were no need to split the two series and that this story could've just been added with less episodes to the first one and it would've been great. So yeah I can't say it was bad but... I definitely won't be watching it again! The one thing I really wanna applaud though is the chemistry between the cast members and not just the leads. I was really digging Mesa and JJ moments and that girl (can't remember her name) just cracked me up. Hope to see more of every one in another drama.

a whole lot of nothing
the average was an 8.5 stars out of 10. it wasn't bad but genuinely nothing happened. the actor who played Fah looked like he wanted to fuck everyone he looked at. it was more than i expected, but some how less than i expected. It was okay. Prince and Fah's dynamic went crazy, i liked it. they were both hot so it was okay. the plot kinda sucked, not kinda. It really sucked. Dao and his man had a serious off vibe to them. i don't know if that was just me but the off vibe. it was okay. the wheel chose our sky. hopefully better than this shit. good chemistry bad plot. Okay bye.Was this review helpful to you?

Nice and cute
Nothing really special here. It's that kind of cute and fuzzy BL that we all like. No major plotlines, not too much drama, a lot of chemistry and some nice kisses. 8 episodes is just long enough for these kind of distractions from daily life. I would like to make a special remark regarding the music. This made for a much better watching experience and I love that the makers here understood that perfectly. Also extra kudos for not using the sound effect button too much.Butterfly levels are ok. Kisses are real enough. No particular peeves, just that it was not very original, but not every drama can or needs to be.
