An older man called Ikeshima is reading alone at a seaside park. He notices something and when he looks up, a toy warplane model of Mitsubishi A6M Zero appeared. The toy plane belonged to a young man in a wheelchair, when Ikeshima sees him he's shocked as the young man looks like a man he once fell in love with. During the Pacific war this man called Shingo Mitamura volunteered for the Kamikaze corps without listening to Ikeshima and never returned. The next day Ikeshima returns to the park and picks up the toy plane which seems broken as the flames of the old love burn in his heart. He decides to repair it at home. Meanwhile a friend of his goes to a gay meeting place but gets trapped by a young man intending to hurt gay men with a knife. Ikeshima saves his friend but when the police arrive he is seen as a nuisance and gets a negative reputation for using violence. Other gay men of the neighbourhood hearing this don't want to associate with Ikeshima anymore in order to avoid trouble. Only him and his friend set out to deliver the repaired toy plane to the young man in the wheelchair and await response. (Source: yokohamakouonza) Edit Translation
