Fang Fei investigates the new magistrate, Feng Yu Tang, who she recognizes someone her father had once helped, but was later found to be corrupt. She finds out her father’s trusted men are working in the sand mine, so partners with Duke Su, who happens to be investigating the gold mine. They hatch a plan to carry out their separate plans.
