According to literature records, the waterway opera troupe in the Hangjiahu area appeared long before Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. They used boats as a means of transportation to travel to and from water towns and towns for many years, either to take advantage of temple fairs or to be called by big families to celebrate their birthdays. In the years of Tongzhi and Guangxu, the waterway Jingban began to appear in Hangjiahu. At its peak, there were more than 30 groups selling operas and performing arts, rewarding gods and entertaining people, forming a special cultural phenomenon. From the late Qing Dynasty to the 1930s and 1940s, Jiaxing served as the performance center of the Shuilu Beijing troupe for a hundred years. Various opera troupes and actors from both the north and the south gathered here, laying a solid foundation for Beijing opera, the earliest national opera popular in northern cities. Jiangnan brand.
