It had potential.
There were so many things in this k-drama that I found certainly questionable, but I won't lie, I was entertained most of the time. But here I'm going to mention why I think it could have been so much better:- It was hard to empathize with the main male character, I didn't feel that the reason he decided to steal (yes, steal) his brother's fiancée moved me enough to get to understand him, therefore, everything he did to achieve his goal didn't seem noble to me and his redemption was resolved so easily, all for the convenience of the plot.
- I didn't believe enough that they were so in love at the time they confessed it to each other, much less on her part. I understand there was some attraction, but directly making it seem like they couldn't be without each other didn't make it realistic, I feel like that wasn't built up very well. When I saw them acting like any couple I didn't believe it.
- The character of the brother and the approach to his sexuality was so superficial, I couldn't connect enough with him either, I think they could have put his story to better use and not just have him be there for plot convenience, again.
- Another thing is that many times I felt that the tone of the plot was lost, I didn't understand if it was a romantic comedy, something dramatic or who knows what else. The truth is that they didn't know how to balance it. Rush and superficial.
- The side stories offered NOTHING.
But I will put as plus points, the OST because I personally liked it, especially the song 'Butterfly', also that I have seen the actors' work previously and I consider them to be pretty good, but of course this is not their best work. And also something in favor were the cameos in the last episode (especially Kim Beom and Lee So Hyuk) lol.
Overall, I wasn't bored, yes, it was entertaining, but I think there was a lot of wasted potential. It wasn't horrible but it certainly could have been a lot better.

Not Good Enough
Korean Drama '' Wedding Impossible '' is a romantic comedy about a contracted marriage. The drama starts out nicely, introducing the main characters and their situations. However, as the story progresses, the main plot is ditched and the drama becomes something completely different. And boring to boot.
The romance, therefore, which was cute at first, got overdramatic for no reason and the second male lead was pushed aside, as the drama mainly focused on the main couple.
Also, the family drama was predictable and unoriginal.
At least, the performances were enjoyable for everyone in the cast.
So, overall, two out of ten.

bro it had everything for being the romcom of the year?
I wouldn’t lied when I said that the firsts episodes I was invested in the story but i don’t know why at some points it became boring??I think one of the problems is that they spent too much time in their stage of not realizing their feelings and when they were already in love the drama only have 2 episodes leave so they needed to end everything but overall i really enjoyed watching it.
Regardless of everything bad, I like the chemistry of the couple but I think the little screen time as lover couldn’t explore their full potential? Also, they lost the opportunity to make a good LGBT+ character but they missed??

"All of it, boiling it. I looked inside, man, and it was turning gray"
Admittedly, it's a stretch to find a connection between "Apocalypse Now", Francis Ford Coppola's Vietnam War opus that's a modern homage to Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness", and "Wedding Impossible", a rom-com-ish enemies-to-lovers chaebol-family-corporate-succession drama. But hold tight for a moment. One of the "Apocalypse Now" characters in its journey in to a deep and dangerous Viet jungle is somewhat unbalanced Louisiana native nicknamed Chef. During one of the quiet interludes on the boat, one of the handful of other soldiers asks Chef how he got the Chef nickname. And Chef responds with a story about how he was going to study at an exclusive French culinary school and instead ended up in the US Navy with the intention of being a cook. And then one day:
"They lined us up in front of a hundred yards of prime rib. All of us, you know, lined up and looking at it. Magnificent meat! Really! Beautifully marbled... magnifique! Next thing, they're throwing the meat into these big cauldrons. All of it, boiling it. I looked inside, man, and it was turning gray. I couldn't f**n' believe that one!"
Much like Chef and his hundred yards of gorgeous beef, "Wedding Impossible" has the ingredients for a bountiful feast of a drama, but renders it through an uninspired and worn and clumsily exposited narrative that ends with a production far short of its potential.
But the ingredients? [chef's kiss]
Jeon Jeong Seo certainly isn't the classic siren type. She's naturally abrasive and blunt. Her history suggests she's far more comfortable with action and tension than light comedy and romance. But it's this genuine awkwardness that makes her No Ah Jung lead so endearing.
Moon Sang Min is rock solid as Lee Ji Han. He's not just the tall pretty boy. And he's got the "I'm cool on the outside but I'm a raging inferno on the inside" acting thing DOWN.
Kim Do Wan is one of the very best second male leads. Any doubters should skim through his scenes in "My Roommate is a Gumiho" where he throws down a masterpiece performance. Casting him as the closeted gay Lee Do Han, a LGBTQ character that is a three dimensional real human who happens to be homosexual instead of a paper-thin stereotype that populates most dramas, is a perfect choice.
There's a couple noteworthy supporting actors too - Park Ah In as the scheming older half sister is very, very good and Seo Woo Jin crushes as Ah Jung's cute young nephew. Song Sang Eun and Min Jin Woong have some nice comedic relief together.
It may not be a legendary pantheon of heavyweights, but it's a very solid group of actors and characters.
And then it greats dropped in a cauldron of boiling chaebol succession blah blah blah. Press conferences. Paparazzis. Living room confrontations. USB drives of CCTV videos. Secretaries. Suits. Snore. Snooze. Sigh.
It's still great fun to see young actors get a chance to be leads and to work incredibly well together. Despite the plot weakness, the two leads are terrific together. It's a fun show to watch when it sticks to the rom-com side of things. Unfortunately, there's not enough of a story there to fill in 12 hour long episodes and everything else is trite and uninspired.
Lightly recommended.

Be more bolder, pls
This is the first k-drama I wished it had more episodes. More episodes - more couple scences. They deserved more intimate, personal and beautiful scenes. One of the best couples from my latest seen shows. Great chemistry. Moon Sang Min is such a passionate and charismatic actor. And I am so happy that female lead is so funny, intelligent and active. ??One star down because of a very quick ending, and after one year meeting it was without passion between the main leads. Separately they were sad but together something was missing. Maybe some scene which would lead them close to each other. Meeting after one year should be full of secret pain and love they had to held inside. And it seemed to be unrealistic that the grandpa would be waiting (so long) one year to give them a bless. Was this review helpful to you?
I like it
For some reason I thought all kdramas were 16 episodes long... I don't know, I assumed it was an unwritten rule. Since there were only 12 of them and the content intrigued me, I didn't hesitate and started watching. I liked all three main characters from the first moment and thanks to them I devoured the 12 episodes in a few days. I admit, I expected a different kind of the ending, but I also liked this very much. The actors matched each other and their interactions were almost flawless. I enjoyed Ji Han's facial expressions the most. Was this review helpful to you?

Laughably bad
I watched this drama exclusively for Moon Sang Min because I loved Under the Queen's Umbrella. This was just terrible.None of the characters had any b*lls to speak up and tell the truth. Lee Do Han didn't have the courage to tell his brother that he was gay and that the marriage was a sham. Na Ah Jung didn't have the courage to tell her "fiance" that she liked his brother and to Ji Han that the marriage was fake. Lee Ji Han didn't have the courage to tell his brother that he liked his fiance. But, Ji Han still had the audacity to get on his moral high horse and get upset at Ah Jung and Do Han for supposedly keeping things from him after sneaking around with Ah Jung behind everyone's back.
Secondary characters were meaningless and boring. None of the older siblings got their comeuppance for continuously scheming against their younger brothers. Dead mom's husband didn't get punished for causing her death. Ji Han's "first love" was the most pointless and non-confrontational love rival ever. Nobody's actions had any consequences and nothing really mattered. The three main characters made some very strange moral choices and were never called out on anything. Zero thought was put into creating a meaningful story and character development.
The acting was mediocre. Moon Sang Min did a decent job. But, Jeon Jong Seo was terrible. She had one resting b*tch face in most scenes like the drama was a chore for her. Her and Moon Sang Min had no chemistry. Overall, the show was a complete waste of time with zero entertainment value.

Lower your expectations....
I remember appreciating the unique execution and the plot I had seen but not seen before but then again in the latter episodes something felt lacking.....So this is basically a drama about a female lead actress who gets into a wedding contract with her gay best friend as a way to help him....and mean while our male lead is like the blockage of their relationship who doesn't want them to get together so he keeps plotting and plotting to separate them even goes as far as trying to seduce her to steal her away but then ends up falling in love with her.
So I was excited to see how this was going to go I loved how our female lead was written to be witty smart and out spoken...and then I loved how our male lead was ambitious and came off rather as selfish well atleast he had personality and that's something that lacks in many romcom character and let's just say I was also happy that for once we get a romcom without including murder into the plot...all of this got me hyped for the chemistry and then the character development but now Iam not so sure how I feel any more.
The story was intruiging and exciting but it lost its charm along the way because some things started to drag out....the leads chemistry got lost and alot didn't sit right with me....the relationship between the leads that Iam supposed to believe is very deep wasn't even dived in properly so it feels non existent and not believable....the character development is all over the place in that the characters keep going back and forth and repeat.....it's kind of tiring to be honest.
Well despite this disappointing me towards the end I still have to appreciate the few good parts about it like the way the female lead and the second female lead are written...the subtle yet impactful acting by the entire cast and then the beautiful osts and the natural comedy......the drama lacked more in the writing department and even the good parts about it count save it for me....
The ending was okay either way I recommend this if you not going to be extra critical about the plot and you just want something to pass time with.

So far this is the 1st best Kdrama of 2024
First k-drama of 2024 that makes me cry of happiness cause I can't contain this loong awaited for a good comedy romance drama.Episode 8 is the momentum of me finally bursting.
Definitly rewatched this drama.
2024 k-drama first best is this Wedding Impossible.
Would like to see the main characters of this drama in another series or movie especially for Moon Sang Min, cause I haven't see his movie yet.

I just feel bad for Kim Do-Wan. Where is his history?
I just couldn’t get behind the couple! In my eyes, Jihan is a terrible brother. He was ready to snatch Dohan’s fiancée under the belief that his brother was straight. He hid behind the pretense of wanting only the best for his brother, but it's pretty obvious he was just looking out for himself. And Ahjung? no better as a friend.
Im used to characters with shady morals, but these ones didn’t have enough story or charisma to hook me.
I just feel bad for Kim Do-Wan. Where is his history?

Worst Writing in recent K dramas
it’s one of the most sloppiest writing ever.they had a good cast, but all wasted because of poor writing on the show.
it started of well then mid season there were many loopholes in their story.. and the need just fizzled out.
they had cameos in last episode to spike up the ratings, didn’t do wonders when your main leads have a messed up story.
at one point, you will be wondering why are they even doing this? what is the point of it?
waste of time literally.
if you have seen decent number of dramas, you will know why this is one of the worst writings ever.
