The very reason I watch dramas...
I find myself never bored and happily chasing every episode. Yes there are "dog blood" cdrama tropes but with a male lead like that, I am happy to fantasize and be a little unrealistic. I find myself smiling ear to ear at times and heart wrenching other times, this is the reason why I watch dramas.Positives)
1-great pacing, plot is compact
2-hair & costumes are refreshing (not often seen in cdramas)
3-a VERY manly, dominant and charismatic male lead
4-I LOVE the push pull build up to leads' romance
5-both lead characters are smart, strong and great looking (which is how it should be in idol dramas)
6-good fight scenes (not just posing/slow motion)
7-director can tell a story properly
8-bromance
9-not one tone, there's light + heart wrenching moments
10-no overkill filter

1-I prefer listening to actors' real voice but this is all dubbed except female lead. And can cdramas get rid of dubbing please already? It's 2025, an actor's voice is part of their acting and the only way to improve is keep using it!
2-CG needs improvement but gets better as you go on
3-some unnecessary close-ups (good thing cast are good looking)
4-wrong makeup or makeup too strong sometimes

My 1st review on MDL but long time fan since 2009This drama has everything!! The writing is amazing 🤩 the fighting scenes are incredible and the story lines keep you paying attention too every single scene!!! I will put this on my list of rotation 💯😜😜🎉🥰!!!!
I ASM looking forward to seeing the next episodes and I know I will not be disappointed ☹️ so excited for both FL/ML chemistry is explosive and the support actors are
doing amazing things to. At the beginning I wasn’t sure about watching it but I am glad that I did.

so enticing
every episode just has you wanting more. the romance is progressive and enough to leave u wondering what's next. the story line is interesting, and progressive at the correct pace. it's kinda similar to good bye my princess (let's just hope it's not a bad ending) but yeah love the romance and both of the ml's and fl's acting. song weilong is looking gooood!!Was this review helpful to you?
Guilty Pleasure
Love the pacing of the show. Overall a great watch and a guilty pleasure (even though it has some not so smart tactics and naive characters). If you go in with no expectations, it is worth all the drama lol. So far, I have enjoyed the show thoroughly between the main leads. I am totally loving this c-drama. The mystery elements are intriguing, with twists and turns that kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had figured things out, another layer of the story would unfold, pulling me deeper into its grip.
The romance is not just about fleeting passion but builds on deep emotions and character growth. Watching the leads navigate their feelings amidst all the chaos around them is a treat. Their chemistry is electrifying yet tender, giving us moments that make your heart race one minute and melt the next. 🥰
The production quality is top-notch, with locations that brings the story’s world to life.
What truly makes this drama stand out, though, is the FL and the ML, the supporting cast are great too, the 2FL princess is a little annoying but i think that is due to the script and not the actress. . Each actor embodies their character so perfectly that you’re drawn in. Their performances are great for a fun c-drama that is light, serious but not dark.
Overall, *Everlasting Longing* is a must-watch for anyone who loves dramas with depth, excitement, and a little hate turned lovers. Highly recommend!
