University student Wu Wan Wan accidentally time travelled to a school in ancient times and disguised herself as a man in order to blend in. It follows a series of hilarious stories between Wu Wan Wan and her classmates Tang Wen Qi and Qi Shan. Together, they not only fight against inequality over family status but also work towards recruiting female students in a story about integrating modern education concepts into ancient academies. A hidden gem with zero angst

This is one of these hidden gems that I am sometimes lucky enough to stumble upon. The storyline isn’t exactly new or different from other shows with this theme, but it is one of the funniest and sweetest. It is very lighthearted and there is zero angst.
Character wise:
ML is this super cute and funny somewhat goofy guy who isn’t the best at studying even if his father runs the school. FL is a headstrong woman who is actually a modern chemistry student who blows herself up in an experiment and wakes up in ancient times.
Actually all of the characters are likable except “the villain” - but even he is not scary at all, LOL.
Acting wise this is great. Given the short format I believe the actors did their best with their characters.
So, if you love a lighthearted, romantic comedy, with zero angst, this is a “Must Watch”.

A light-hearted comedy

I gave it a 7.5 because I quite like Ryan Cheng's work. He can play a very serious guy (Evil Face) and this role - a bit goofy and silly guy. Also, I don't expect much for a low budget. At least, the story line makes sense. The whole cast work well together. It reminds me of Butterfly lovers - Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, but is much much more light-hearted.

It starts off quite funny and gives me hope but I feel quite bored in the middle. There is no real drama. The climax of the series pass quite quick. But if you're looking for something light to watch, I would recommend this.
