Lovely Runner (2024)

Repeated timelines while trying to achieve better ending.
Queen In Hyun's Man is a romance heavy drama, with much less plot holes than lovely runner, and the acting is to the point.
Lovely Runner on the other hand while it is a little weak on the acting and pacing part, it's full of fluff from start to finish.
Both are rom com. Recommend both of them.

Completely different stories, but they had similar quality in storylines the series stayed strong through out delivery a decent story with a lot of lighthearted comedic moments peppered in between. And unlike most series there wasn’t a midseries slump where the storyline loses steam, your attention it engaged from the first to last episodes.

Both dramas are about high school love and goofy lives of teenagers but with a twist!

- Main stories of both dramas are set in near past (Reply - 1997; LR - 2008) and framed with current time. The near past element gives the story somewhat retro vibe
- Both dramas have mystery element (R - who is the husband?; LR - what lead to the tragedy that happened in current time?)
- Both female leads are energic, fun girls and also hopeless kpop stans
- Both male leads are good guys who fall first

Difference is in the stakes of the story. In Lovely Runner, the stakes are much higher as FL time travels back in time and tries to prevent several tragedies; in Reply the fantasy element is not there, these are just teenagers, living their lives

The Similarity is that, Both the drama is about a second chance of life. Not only that both included being an idol having a second chance. Thank you

Both dramas revolve around the main character's ability to travel back in time to alter past events, specifically to prevent the death of a significant other.While "Lovely Runner" leans more towards a romantic comedy, "Blue Birthday" has a darker, more suspenseful tone.

Both FLs time travel into the past and their school days in order to save the ML who appears to have committed suicide.

A male lead who can't confess to his first love. He travels back in time and returns to his high school years. This time he tries to help the girl he loves to confess to her past self..................................................

Both these shows add some aspects of a thriller in the drama which juxtaposes the bright romantic tone the show presents itself as.
(Both shows are able to still stay light throughout it tho)
