17-year-old Iguchi Tatsuya has just been released from juvenile detention and is on probation. He's been relocated to a new area, away from the bad influence of his old friends, and is under the care of his aunt. He is determined not to be sent back to lockup, and he works hard in his aunt's restaurant. However, he still has the same personality, the same tendency to violence, and still falls in with the same sort of people. It's going to be difficult for him to stay out of trouble. I personally like it

Hey, didn't get around to the manga, but this movie surprised me in a good way. Characters? Solid. The lead? Fresh face, and I'm all for giving new actors a shot. It works, you know? The action? Man, it's just right. Hits the sweet spot without dragging things out. So, even without knowing the manga backstory, this movie's a win for me. Big shoutout to embracing new talent and nailing those snappy action scenes. Definitely fine by my standards.
And last I wanna thanks all to creators. And I hope you guys make these kind of movies again. ?

Different Story from Manga but awful Lead

As usual, Live Action has a different story, but this different storyline is not that crisp. Tatsuya's actor was atrocious in the beginning! I don't know if it's a Japanese thing to act like that, but they were awful. It's funny in manga and anime, but those expressions won't fit well with real-life actors. The Gang members were also styled in uniforms, which Kilihito doesn't have in the manga, but they added them for some reason.
The good part was that they added more screen time for Uncle and Aunty, they're quite wholesome. Also, Kazumasa Big Bro was cast perfectly. That guy nailed the role at 99% and minus 1 percent for sass. The extra fighting didn't make much sense as they were not logically thinking, I think Out manga is way better, and the characters actually behaved in more rational manner rather than 6 guys taking on 50 guys, which is atrocious.
I think the movie is solid 7, with some good scenes, but as a manga reader, you'll be disappointed.
