This drama narrates the life of Emperor Zheng De, the 11th emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Emperor Zheng De was born as Zhu Hou Zhao, the only son of Emperor Hong Zhi. From early childhood, he preferred hunting and games to studying. When Emperor Hong Zhi came down with a severe illness, Zhu Hou Zhao was nowhere to be found. The prince was found at a coffin shop, where he was found as an apprentice under a master coffin maker.
