A Saucy Thriller With Raunchy Content
This series is an erotic roller-coaster ride through the world of gay love. If non-gay people want to know what it is like to be gay, then this is the series to watch. Not the idealized versions of BLs. This is what the world of gayness is, whether you want to believe it or not, accept it or not. It is what it is. Sure, it is the darker side, but it is no less real than the ornament sanitized version of what GAY love is via BL. In other words, this is its antithesis. This expresses the real world. It is a potpourri story that is at times impossible to follow and logically makes absolutely no sense; it has a ‘soap-opera aspect to it. And I loved every minute of it. Why? Because, it presents the darker side of ‘BL’. And if you think for one second that this world either does not exist or is not real, then you are misinformed and mistaken. As it does. What this story does is capture all the issues facing gay men today in a raw, gritty, realistic fashion. Sometimes a bit over-the-top dramatically but never ever unrealistically. To be sure, the problems are overblown, but never its lasciviousness.

Is that an ending???
Yes, if you like to watch s3x, you'll be happy. BUT, the acting was terrible. Not only it was missing a line into the story. It went everywhere with no really any answers at the end.
The casting was ok, but they're all newbies and they should have had someone to be there to help as everything sounded fake.
The tears, the love stories, the actions... Everything felt like watching something from the 50s.
I really don't get those who put a 10. Obviously, they judged the actors by their body and the story by the number of s3x scenes, because other than that, I would not even re-watch it.
So this his my opinion as a big BL watcher.

Music
Are people.shiting on the music because of the effects or the soundtrack itself. I said this in another comment but like for me as a Film student/film maker yes, I will agree the effects are garbage especially during the scene when Jason Lee shoots the man that sound, I was like "Stagecoach 1939 movie did a better ass job and that wasn't even a BL) LOL. But the soundtrack is actually pretty nice. I will say this film has a lot of continuity issue like in the scene when Zouey is playing the violin and then in the next shot it vanished. I know a lot of people might not catch the detail but lord...the times I had to pause to talk about what happened (LIFE of a Film student)Was this review helpful to you?

NO PLOT! Just Sex scenes
This show literally has no viable plot. The watcher is bounced around to 6+ 'relationships' in the loosest definition. It's a worse version of Kinnporsche where the director has angled the show around pure shock value rather than any assemblance of reason. I lose braincells watching this show. I literally don't care about the mystery plot, I don't care about the playboy club, I don't care about the masochist couple. The only relationship I care about is Nont and Prom simply because they're the hottest. This show honestly should be classified as a comedy because the modesty cups and outfits they wear are hilarious, the cups are laughably huge.

Unlocking Intrigue: Why You Need to Watch This Now!
I don't understand why the rating is so low. I genuinely enjoyed this series for several reasons:1) Firstly, the plot kept me hooked until the final minute of the last episode. I truly hope there will be a second season or an additional episode. While the mystery of Nont is now solved, the main antagonist remains at large, and many characters' lives are still in jeopardy. Thus, I believe there is room for at least one more episode to provide either a happy or tragic ending.
2) I appreciated how, with each episode, I grew attached to every character. Despite each of them disappointing me at some point, I still cared about them. Perhaps it's because this reflects human nature – our ability to make mistakes and behave imperfectly. I prefer such flawed characters that can impart meaningful lessons to the audience, rather than the stereotypical flawless protagonist, which is rather unrealistic.
3) The series delves deeply into psychology and mental health issues, exploring traumas, distorted personalities, social pressures, and typical teenage worries and struggles.
4) Regarding the portrayal of sex: I'm not referring to the explicit scenes, although they were necessary to introduce and develop certain characters, especially in terms of their sexual preferences or attitudes toward sex. Instead, I'm highlighting how sex was depicted differently for each character – as a means of earning money, obtaining something, exerting control over others, expressing romantic feelings, seeking pleasure, and so on. Sex serves as the central theme that connects each character and is, moreover, the primary catalyst for the entire situation (the Playboy Club).
5) The series is filled with hilarious and entertaining scenes that had me laughing out loud.
6) Despite the portrayal of toxic relationships and characters, particularly involving prostitution, it's important to note that the series doesn't glorify these aspects. The root of the troubles lies in drug dealing and prostitution. What I appreciated was how the characters confronted their inner demons and bad habits through love. While this may seem idealistic, as love alone often isn't enough to heal people in real life, within the realm of fiction, it's heartening to see these young men find love and grow as individuals.
I really liked it!

idk what to think
To be honest, at first i was disgusted. A lot of intimate scenes, the plot wasnt interesting enough. I knew that Zoeuy wasn`t innocent, but didnt expect that his crush is Jason Lee.The only couple that I like is Prom and Nont, they are so cute together! And I also like Teena, he is so beautiful and hot.
The whole mystery about Nant was interesting and this was the only reason to complete this series. I wanted to know if he killed himself with overdose or someone killed him. Also im wondering why Phop did this...

one does not simply review playboyy the series
What can I say about Playboyy? It has some of the best thriller plot writing I've seen in a bl. It has horrible dialogue and scene blocking. I watched every single episode rapt with attention. I actually screamed aloud (derogatory) at one sex scene. Every time they made those poor actors speak English I wanted to jump out a window. Recounting what happened in any given episode to my friends took at least 500 words, and that was usually just the last 15 minutes of that ep. There are like five sex scenes in each episode of varying quality and I think I actually learned something about the characters from each one. I don't think anyone takes their underwear off possibly ever because they had an underwear sponsorship.Look, I can't in good conscience recommend this show. I don't even know if I really enjoyed it. But I was fascinated, and I was intrigued. When the last episode ended and revealed there was going to be a season 2, I resigned myself to the fact that I will watch it, even if some of the events toward the end made me go wtf was that.
To actually provide some sort of review, it's a thriller-mystery featuring a twin swap. Nont/Nant was actually the best part of the show for me--I was surprised both by how much I liked the character and by the performance given by Dech, who I think did a solid job with a difficult role. Out of the...seven?? I think?? couples in this show, Nont and Prom were by far my favorite, both because I think the actors bounced off each other well and because I enjoyed the dynamic of Prom assisting Nont in his revenge. Did I think the part where they were pointing guns at each other and then started making out sexy? Yes, because it was.
It's funny, because the show kind of presents itself as being about Zouey, who is pivotal to the story, but honestly faded from my attention early on--though given events at the end of the season, this might have been intentional. If I ever manage to rewatch, I'll have to keep an eye on him, because I can't tell if they had his arc fully planned from the beginning or if they adjusted it as they went along. Him and Teena were largely uninteresting to me but also did have the sex scene that made me scream. Take that as you will.
As I said, I found the plotting/structure of the thriller really compelling in how and when it revealed information about the characters. The first few episodes are incredibly confusing because they present you with almost the entire main cast at once and for a long time, you won't know why some of them are important. Did I think some of the writing choices were absolutely batshit? Sure, but sometimes that's just how it goes in a thriller. What it was good at was providing all the characters with layers of motivations and interpersonal relationships to complicate the mystery.
Also, when it says they use sex to solve the mystery, they weren't joking about that. There was a point in like episode 4 where I went oh my god...they're actually using sex to solve the mystery...
As for the characters themselves, I appreciated that very few of them were one-note, even the ones who I thought were underwritten. I think some of the relationships were more compelling due to a combo of relevance to the main story and performance. But with this many couples, there's kinda something for everyone.
I don't know, gang. It's a hard show to review. I felt like it was something that happened to me more than it was something I watched. If you do decide to watch it, know that it takes a couple episodes to really get going (not with regard to sex--they start that right away) and that the list of content warnings at the beginning is no joke. It isn't an entirely heavy show--there are a lot of comedic moments, some intentional and quite a few that were probably unintentional--but your brain will feel scrambled. I'll see you when season 2 airs.

One of the worst BL'S I've ever seen!
If you're looking for a BL series with a plot, story and acting, this ain't it! This is by far, the worst one I've ever scene! This whole series was just about a bunch of horny boys out there looking for their next hook-up, it was all over the place and it felt incomplete! Is there going to be a season 2 to explain the cliffhanger? People gave bad reviews and hate on Venus in the Sky, but this was given good reviews and likes? I wouldn't recommend this BL to anyone to watch! It was raunchy! The only thing good about this show was some of the guys were nice looking, but the NC scenes were very cringey and unrealistic. It was a very disappointing series. Was this review helpful to you?

I SHOULD HAVE TRUST TIKTOK
I been having a lot of review videos on TT saying that this series really traumatised a lot of people from the sex scene actually. Let me tell you, first episode and my Jaw dropped like “um excuse me? Is this allowed?”. Usually I never read the synopsis of a series or stalk the actor nor the director to make sure I have no bias on a series. MISS GURL LEMME TELL YOU WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT CHEEWIN IS THE DIRECTOR RIGHT AFTER I FINISH THIS SERIES, I GOT SO DISAPPOINTED ?.Cheewin directed A LOT OF MY FAVOURITE SERIES ( bed friend, SCOY, middlemans love and etc ) and watching this series like its coming from a low budget company really caught me like “AINT NO WAY THIS IS CHEEWIN’S WORK”. I am speechless and I never would have thought that Cheewin would produce this series.
Please BE WARNED THO, 1 - 4 episode you will get shook at the sex scenes but after that, you will get used to it LOL THATS LITERALLY ME. This series is 90% sex scenes and 10% of non existence conflict. Yes, the main conflict is to find out who killed Naht but the plot keeps on getting prolonged that I ended up skipping a lot starting episode 8. To be honest i think they can shorten the series to be 8 - 10 Episodes but because of unnecessary sex scenes, it becomes 14 episodes.
MY MIDDLEMANS LOVE IS 8 EPISODES AND THIS SERIES GOT 14 EPISODES? Cheewin, we gotta have a talk.
Some of the actor’s acting is a little bit stiff but not that bad though and also, CAN WE STOP THE ENGLISH SCRIPT UNLESS IF WE HAVE A NATIVE SPEAKER IN THE SERIES????? I couldn’t help but to keep on thinking they are trying to look like KinnPorsche series ( shoutout to my Zaddy Vegas ). I am sorry but the english is almost borderline of Cringe ?.
Anyway, not a good series but not a bad one either. I wouldn’t rewatch this series tbh.

Had high expectations
I mean, at first it was good but after a while it became like a soap opera or something. I like some of the characters and I also dislike some of them, the story was interesting but it was ruined because of the last two episodes. I was really confused. There were also moments that made me think: "Nooo why would you do that?!" and moments that I really enjoyed. I didn't really like the bad English that some of them were using, it felt rather cringy.
The Couples:
Teena+Zouey:
I wished to see them more since they were kind of cute.
Soong+First:
Toxic. Somewhat cute. Made me say "oooof" a lot.
Jump+Porsche:
Also toxic and I didn't really like Porsche in the beginning but my mind changed when I saw them in the end.
Keen+Captain:
Not my favorite. Captain sucks.
Prom+Nont:
Liked them a lot.
Aob+Puen:
Also liked them a lot.
Nuth+Phob:
Ehhhh not my cup of tea.

It deserves a chance.
I was shocked how much I got into this series and yes I know people just mention the inhercourse that goes on.But there is alot more to it and a plot that if you focus on it you want to know more.
You have a group of boys who think they are finding love. There are alot of stories behind each character and it is worth looking for there story because it opens your eyes alot to what is going in and not just the sexual side of it

A series based on NC scenes.
There isn't an episode without an NC scene and the scenes are disturbing. If I wanted to watch porn I would watch it on Pornhub. It was a series that disturbed me so much I couldn't even watch the whole thing.I liked the acting. But there was no event in the series. The actors deserved a better script.
In short, it was a disappointing series for me. I can tell you that it is the only BL series that made me uncomfortable while watching. I hope the actors can play in a good scenario. That's all I have to say
