Stellar performance with a plot that scatters your emotions
⢠Jack & Joker: U steal my Heart has a plot that is all over the place and can create a surge of emotions in viewers. The hype around the show was given justice through the acting skills of each and every actor and the chemistry showcased by the main leads.â˘First, lets talk about the plot, shall we. I did not see the pilot teaser of this show and went straight ahead with the episodes, thinking that synopsis gave me a good idea of what I'm going to watch. From what I understood through the synopsis is that Jack and Joker, though with clashing personalities and challenging jobs (as a debt collector and thief respectively), end up joining forces for some sort of grand heist, developing a love-hate relationship. Never in a billion dreams did I think I would face a shared past with this "Strangers to Friends to Enemies to Lovers" troupe. It's not bad, but it's not what I expected. Nevertheless, I didn't let that stop me from watching. But going on forward, the show gave me a heavy sense of deja vu with it's romance side of story. JackJoker's relationship felt similar to that of VeeMark in Love Mechanics (which also starred YinWar). That did not sit right, especially given how sneaky and playful Joker should be (Mark was an emotional and heartbroken mess because of Vee). Joker's character fizzled out from being a fearless and feisty thief to a lovesick fool in search of redemption. Jack was no better. At first, his anger towards Joker felt reasonable, but then in the second half his anger and hatred towards Joker got me conflicted. Joker saved him from being lifelong indebted to that boss by stealing the ring, but Jack never saw that, and instead felt it as betrayal cause Joker had promised to never steal. But then again, the theft had resulted in Toi Ting (a young girl for whom they both cared) getting into critical condition as she was physically abused by the boss's henchmen, which only justifies his anger towards Joker to an extent. There was also this confusion I had gotten regarding as to how a normal ring had so much power, but the last episode did give me a bit of explanation. Then there was a robbery at the bank by Joker, which was executed pretty unrealistically. And the whole game thing in last episode felt petty to me. But the whole "Plan A, B, C" situation in episode 11 definitely lightened my mood, and I was surprised to find Hope tagging along. The entire story has given me mixed feelings though.
â˘If the plot gave me reasons to criticize the show, the acting gave me a reason to love it. War has always been a phenomenal actor. His emotional range and versatility have always left me speechless. Jack & Joker is definitely a step up for him. The quirky disguises which Joker took on, especially that of the make up lady, proved just how fantastic he is as an actor. The aggressive ways in which he flirted with Jack were equally amusing and entertaining to watch. Then in the second half of the story he devoured the angst scenes. His sorrowful cries showed how much he was in, pain, especially when Jack told him to never show his face. The pain he had after he got rejected by his father was also sad to watch. And of course, the sulky and devastated look he had in his face watching Jack entertain RosĂŠ as if she were his lover. War as Joker is one of the best casting of this year. Yin is also significantly improving. He was able to convey the grudge Jack holds against Joker as well as the discomfort he had after being forced into a relationship with RosĂŠ. His action scenes were also fantastic and well done. He is also a perfect casting for the role. The chemistry between the two is always a winner for me. Though their romance was slow burn and had lots of ups and downs, I enjoyed every minute of when they were together. Those kisses were chef's kiss and Jack's simple proposal in the end was adorable. I just wished that Joker would've had a proper apology from Jack for having brutally berated him. But the acting and chemistry of YinWar was the key highlight of the show.
â˘This shows side characters were also memorable. I never thought that there would be some sort of romantic tension between Aran and Tattoo. And though they weren't given the screentime and closure expected from them, I was actually somehow contented with what I had got from them. I was surprised that I actually like the HopeSave couple. Despite the fact that they both had done from bad things to Jack, I must say that I admired the fact that Hope stayed by Save's side and understood the latter's situation. Their redemption arc was what I needed and it kind of filled up the space of mind demanding for Aran and Tattoo. Holy was a great friend to Joker and Tattoo and I loved his funny ideas. Jack's Grandma was a whole different vibe. Her being considerate towards Joker, fangirling and shipping her grandson and Joker, and fighting with boss's henchmen were first class bl fangirl things. She was very relatable. Ting was very cute and I really felt my blood boil after seeing how ruthlessly she was attacked. RosĂŠ gives me mixed feelings, but I mostly feel happy that she let Jack go in the end. Joker's family felt like completely jerks to me in the starting, but them wanting to rekindle with him and accepting him was good for me as long as it made Joker happy. And we don't talk about the boss and Carbon........just that they got what they deserved in the end....... humiliation.
â˘Overall, the saving grace for this story is clearly it's cast, it's production, the chemistry of YinWar and the comedic relief scenes. It had ambition, but failed in it's execution, but still managed to retain a few elements to keep the viewers entertained.

Honest opinion
Itâs truly a high quality show and you can see everyone put so much effort into it. I think the story was just a tiny bit dragged, but the last episode had me on my knees and toes, it was too suspenseful, too dramatic and just too GOOD, I didnât want it to end!! The main cp is only the two most gorgeous boys Iâve ever seen in my life. If youâre not a fan of slow burn tho, you wonât like itWas this review helpful to you?

Repetitive plot structure. Underdeveloped character arcs
The series presents a narrative with stagnant characters, Jack and Joker, who repeatedly fall into similar problematic situations without meaningful growth, despite initial hints of depth. Save's betrayal of friends, including an attempt to poison a grandmother, further highlights the series' shallow character development. While the talented cast attempts to elevate the material, the show fails to meaningfully explore serious themes like childhood poverty, instead using them as superficial plot devices. The comedy falls flat due to poor editing, and the relationships, though unique, lack emotional complexity. Ultimately, the series might appeal to viewers seeking unconventional romantic dynamics but falls short of delivering a sophisticated or transformative storytelling experience. Was this review helpful to you?

Interesting plot, Like both leads
Jack and Joker start really well. Unlike other bl, this has a decent story. All the actors did pretty well. Both the lead actors have a good chemistry. Jack, Joker, and Arun's appearance was most likable.Still, many things after the middle where things not making any sense. In the last episode when Boss loses his s**t was so messed up, why does he want to play a game, it makes him look like a fool, he was greedy but come on having a ring that can possess any power is so unrealistic, he was just a fool. His guards acting was so bad, the fighting scenes looked fine but in the end, they did very bad acting, I feel like watching any old movie, where the villain ties people just for fun!
In the 11 episod someone take their own life because of boss but he got redumption but does someone like him deserves it?

Must-Watch BL Series! Highly recommend??
If youâre debating whether to start this drama, let me make it simpleâjust do it! From the very first episode, I was hooked, and the excitement never faded throughout the series. This is one of those rare gems where the storyline, acting, and chemistry all come together to create pure magic on screen. The two male leads were phenomenal. Their chemistry was electric, and you could feel the emotions radiating from every scene they shared. Their acting felt so genuine and natural that it pulled me even deeper into the story. Watching them interact was such a treat; they complemented each other perfectly. Itâs clear they poured their hearts into these roles, and Iâm already hoping to see them reunite in another BL drama soon. Their performance here has set a high bar for the genre! đĽ°
Another standout character was Grandma. She was such an iconic presence in this show! Her moments brought a perfect mix of humor, wisdom, and heart. I found myself looking forward to her scenes just as much as the leads. She added so much charm and depth to the series. đ
The plot itself was engaging from start to finish. It balanced emotional moments, romance, and lightheartedness beautifully. The pacing was just right, keeping me invested the entire time without ever dragging.
In short, this is a drama you donât want to miss. Whether youâre a fan of BL dramas or new to the genre, this one will captivate you with its heartfelt story, incredible performances, and unforgettable characters. Trust me, youâll be thinking about it long after the credits roll! đ

Joker is giving everything and we love it
I love everything about Joke. Like literally everything. His voice, the way he speaks so softly to Jack, his face, his tattoos, his smirks. And the way he kisses? This man is H-U-N-G-R-Y. I can't say enough about how complex and fine this character felt to me.But sadly this is mostly everything that I liked. The rest is... Just weird. Things and especially change of feelings happen way too fast, some directing choices just flabbergasted me and Boss character... Don't let me started. It seemed like he is trying to be the villain we deserve so much but his portrayer looked more like drama kid with mental issues who definitely is not the main character but tries hard to be one. Damn, I'm sort of disappointed but overall I think that the chemistry and story are good enough but let's not kid ourselves Joker is the light of this show! I would recommend watching this just for him.

drama of the year goes toâŚ
Another highly anticipated drama that thankfully I can say is delivering! It is even going over the delivering and serving to me on a nice silver platter... let me explain..So I have been going through a BL drought. Heck, a drama drought. K-dramas at this time have sucked the life out of me with their uninteresting and predicable plots, poor execution, and the fact that I watch and wonder.. why does something like this need to be made? What purpose is there other than to make money? Have famous leads in it to lure people in to end up being a total heaping pile of garbage.... so.. this drama COULD have been that. I mean the lead couple is famous and have starred in another successful project. The plot is darker and a bit of a niche in the BL industry. To do something outside of the classic romantic comedy genre of high school or college. Let me just get this straight. This drama is one of those that I think serves a purpose. I am glad it is made wonderfully and it clearly isn't pandering to its audience with chalked up fan service. So this drama is one that deserves to be made, it also is respectful to its audience and that is clear with the production level.
Other than that, production is one thing. Plenty of dramas look good but don't have the story to back it up. This one has witty dialogue that is just smart. Each character is written differently and it is believable they are different people. The people behind the screenplay are amazing, as even in scenes of just talking, the actors are giving the script to play off each other to look like they are having fun portraying their given roles. Some of the drama is a little unbelievable, but not to the point it is distracting or god awful. The plot gives it room to have fun, and the fact that there is a romance hidden somewhere in here leaves room for intrigue. I don't really care about the technicalities here, because the story just hasn't been done before. It is completely brand new to me as I have maybe read some concepts here and there that are similar to the story, but as a whole I haven't watched anything like this.
To keep it short I just have to praise the main leads, their acting capabilities, the camerawork, direction.. nothing is out of place. The camera work is shot beautifully that even when a set isn't too extravagant, the lighting goes a long way to bring atmosphere to the scene.
War is the standout actor here for me. He has so much charisma and is the guy that looks like he's having the most fun with his role. What a fun role it is too. Joke is by far my favorite characters, and his counterpart isn't lacking anywhere by the way. Jack is more reserved and Yin plays that wonderfully as well. Their dynamic is not only fun, I can sense some desire between them only a few episodes in. It makes me want to see them get to know each other and have a fallout and all that drama. I can't wait to watch it all unfold...
Getting back to this I must say, I am really aw struck by everything this drama has to offer. Knowing that the leads invested their own money confirms the fact that care is put behind this. THAT is why it is special. The people behind the show clearly care for the end result and have done it for their fans. Yet the show doesnât flash fan service or pander, it is smartly written and honestly fantastic. I am enjoying all aspects and that definitely includes the comedy. All the way around this drama it has something to offer. Complain about it not being what you expected or not, but Yin and War offered the end result as a love letter to fans and you can tell they are having fun doing so. I canât believe those who criticize such an honest effort. Like seriously, if you want a serious dark drama, go watch a kdrama. The humor adds to the story and it literally is a part of Jokeâs character and his inability to take his own life seriously. The guy literally believes all he is good at is stealing.
You can really tell competent people are behind this with all the attention to detail and foreshadowing. Itâs not a drama that forces things at you and tells you exactly what is going on. The actors portray their feelings to get across an excellent slow burn with amazing action scenes. Seriously the choreography is beat for beat as well as knowing the actors do it themselves. The time and energy behind this work is insane and I was interested to read up on it to confirm the fact that Yin and War really cared for this project and their fans. More than a love letter it is an amazing drama.
What this drama is good at is everything. I enjoy it all with earnestly and look forward to each episode. That is a gift to me; as this isnât a cheap product made for money. It is a great drama even. I will go on and on when I can type to my hearts content.

Unique and passionate
I found this drama very unique compared to other BLs. Typical BLs are usually based in an office or a uni or a friendship circle and I think that is gradually getting repetitive and uninteresting. This is the highlight of this drama. Rarity is very significant in a drama, especially BLs. As we are modern day by day, we see different things. We tend to find uniqueness everywhere and that's what it makes something interesting.Firstly, the story.
This is the key highlight of this drama. We favour to believe that BLs are classic and cringe as we see a lot of unusual romance in it. Well, typically that's what makes BL different from other genre's. But, I think it is crucial for a genre to stand out. Furthermore, this is the perfect example.
As of the music, I feel it is usual and that is fair.
Casting would be my favorite. A cast of a drama is as much important as the story. They should perfectly fit into the story. I believe that every single actor of this show fits in that criteria.
Finally, the rewatch value. As I explained through my review, this drama has a great potential and it makes the viewer curious which is perfect. I hope to see the next episodes good as the same. The drama has been great for now.
Overall, I loved it. Looking forward for the next episodes. Susu na â¤

Greatest Storyline!!
I've been watching this for a months and no joke, this is surprisingly amazing thai drama i'd watched( because i'm kinda bored with high school Thai drama lately ). I mean, almost everything is great in this series like the OST, the acting so natural, the story is cool & good( but i don't like when suddenly "Marry" things mentioned & i'm like, nuh uhđĽ´), their comedy, their heartbroken, the meaning life itself and more scenes that angst and touching ny heart. I'm really glad that i watching this series, i can't get enough of thrm and really waiting for the next episode, because this is epic & so thunderđđWas this review helpful to you?
Overrated
Idea of the plot is okay execution is tragic.Story is all over the place and many times doesn't make sense. They started tons of topics and didn't explain half of them. I don't know who wrote script but some scenes seems as if they were recorded without it. It's neither good comedy nor action or romance. If you want to watch something with more romantic scenes then don't waste your time.
Music and editing doesn't match scenes and don't create any type of atmosphere.
Cast is handsome but because story is so badly written acting to it must have been hard so sometimes acting is also boring to watch.
I planned to drop it after 3 episodes but I waited till 9th because I thought it would get better. It didn't and I feel like I wasted time on this.
