Hase Momoko lives with her husband, Mamoru, in a detached house on the grounds of Mamoru's family home. Momoko lives a fulfilling life by teaching soap-making classes, dressing smartly, and preparing elaborate meals as if to shake off the slight stress she receives from her mother-in-law, Teruko, and her husband's indifference.
