Matsuoka Chisa is a promising lawyer at the nation's top law firm. One day, a senior partner at her law firm assigns her to a retrial case. The case involves a man who was convicted for the kidnapping and murder of a young girl in Kagawa Prefecture 21 years ago. Around that time, there were 2 other kidnapping cases involving girls, but those cases were never solved. Chisa was one of the victims in the other kidnapping cases. For the retrial case, Chisa goes back to her hometown for the first time in 10 years. She investigates the retrial case and the 2 kidnapping cases with the help of lawyer Hiroki from a local law firm. Her investigation tells her that there is a high possibility that the 3 cases were committed by the same person. She confronts the suspect, Hirayama Satoshi, who could be the kidnapper and may have tried to kill her. Satoshi maintains his innocence.
