Im happy that maybe im the first person to write a review of this story of the drama...so i will try to cover all the points that it may help you to decide watch this story or not.

Tbh i wanted to watch new generation because of certain stars (janice wu, seven tan ,bai jing ling etc) or a particular story. But when i saw the trailer of new generation, i was eager to watch or give a try to other stories as well or whole drama.

New Generation : Beautiful You is the first story of this drama and let me start saying i absolutely disliked the FL being the type 'i know everything and whatever is right' attiude at the beginning. But in 8 episodes her transition to someone at the end of 8th episode... I ADORE HER SO MUCH. It just was amazing.
This is my first time watching this type of concept drama with mini stories in it and i loved it! The music is amazing few songs only but they are good and pleasant to listen. You wont regret that this story has only few songs as you know its perfect it has few songs and the scenes are few with the songs so when the songs playes you will definately feel good.

This story is like the representative of what normal life of living in a complex can be. Various issues and solution we need to end it. For the first time i realised being a volunteer may sound wasting of time( but its also a sorry to say but a selfish thing we do that if we help finding solution for the solution then you can get relief) thats what i thought in firat few episodes. But as the story progessed this idealogy of mine changed like helping others sometimes will not also give you relief but also happiness,peace and feeling of unity that atleast your improvement helped others gain.

Ik i may sound a enlightened person now saying cliche things but this story tells about a lady who lost her job due to company , framed and became pregnant (dont worry her husband is caring and loving just perfect...they make a cute couple too) but for her it was all things coming at once good and bad. So taking it all in and facing her reality or downfall was hard. But all it takes time and somewhat confidence to take it all in. The main thing she had to face was herself. The way she was before she lost her job or the way her attitude was before becoming pregnant or living in a complex which has issues to solve. Made her to face herself.

What i liked was it was no that high voltage drama of neighbours fighting and making trouble, misunderstanding etc. It felt what in real life happens. The way the problems was dealt and the way the people were honest with views was something i liked.

The characters played by each one of them in this story were casted perfectly and did a great justice. Amazing acting from kids to adults.

He character i admire her as we can see these kind of people and sometimes think that person is too nice or sething else. But that person is just warmhearted and feel happy to help others. He's kid is just like us or the teens who are growing up feeling that being too nice isnt good opposite of her mom...so their relationship alwayd have clash but at the end they make up by just giving light sarcasm and just go back to being mom-daughter.

If i start writing about each character it may turn into a book or something?? So let me make it short now....this story will give all kind of good mixed emotion from how the story started to ended...at the begin you may think ahh the character is like this so it so the progession of the character in the 8 episode will be so what to after 8 episodes will be like damn in 8 episodes....46 mins....the characters changed so much (in a good way). This story has nice direction and nice script amd nice story telling and nice concept. 46 mins worth of time and 8 episode it payed us...i dont regret wasting my time instead i feel very happy to view this. WORTH OF TIME AND WORTH TO WATCH!!!

I can say that you will be satisfied to waych this and give it a try and again i will say worth of time and worth to watch. So i hope you will like this story and i hope my review will help you guys.
