Iki Tadashi is a military leader who was captured by the Soviets during World War II. Treated as a war criminal, he was sentenced to many years of labor in a harsh Siberian detention camp. After 11 years of imprisonment, he is released. He returns to Japan and begins readjusting to life as a civilian, rejecting an offer from his former colleague to work on a defense project. Tadashi has decided to never involve himself in war again, much to the joy of his family. Instead, he attempts to set off on a new path working at a major trading company.
Both dramas are from the same writer 'Yamasaki Toyoko'. They are both played by phenomenal actor ' Karasawa Toshiaki' and they both a heavy duty drama. The battle between faction, struggle to survive, and endearing to achieve something glorious that may influence to the society.
On the other hand, both character were in a different perspective though. 'Goro Zaizen' is an ambitious person while 'Iki Tadashi' is a practical man. All in all, they are both a must-watch drama.

They are both a 'Business Drama'. While Hanzawa Naoki drama were seeking revenge, the other one was seeking for glory. But I could say that 'Fumo Chitai' has a depth mission/goal and much more heavy task that at the end, you'll cry your tears out..however, Hanzawa Naoki is enjoyable to watch with some plot twist going on with the game of "Sink or Swim" in it.
