I loved the first movie and the cast was so great. I thought the ending was perfect!! The second movie honestly destroyed so many of the good things in the first movie. I liked the addition of Vic Zhou and thought he was a great character. The story of him and Zi Xin's boss is also quite cute. I'm not a big fan of Zi Xin's boss but she didn't ruin the movie. What did ruin the movie for me was the so called "love triangle" between Zi Xin, Qi Hong, and Sheng Ran. I wanted Zi Xin to end up with Qi Hong so bad and in the first movie they were so perfect for each other. I still think that Sheng Ran is quite a "zha nan" or douchebag and for some reason Zi Xin decided that was okay after he just climbed a building, which, might I add, Qi Hong built just for her. I LOVE the the love story between Zi Xin and Qi Hong and I was so so so disappointed by the ending in this movie.

The acting was pretty good, considering the cast is quite stellar. Also, the music was a shining part of this movie. They picked great songs and they fit in so well with the story, so kudos for a good choice in music.

As you can tell by the title of this review, Cheng Zi Xin ended up choosing Zhang Shen Ran a.k.a the « playboy». I watched the first movie and was very happy with the ending. I felt like Fang Qi Hong's feelings towards Zi Xin has always been constant and honest. He would litteraly do anything for her and the way how he chowcased his affection for her was so beautiful. In the second movie, I was hoping that they might find a woman that would fit Zhang Shen Ran more. The thing that made me angry the most is how respectful Qi Hong was towards Shen Ran. Yes they fought, but he was always fair and always let her choose between him and her former boss. I feel so bad for Qi Hong. I don't think she'll truly be more happy with Shen Ran. He kept sleeping around with other women while claiming he fell in love with Zi Xin? I mean come on! That was a bad decision.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this movie. I just couldn't imagine how the plot would progress from the first movie in the series. In movie one, financial analyst Cheng Zixin (Yuanyuan Gao), falls into a love triangle with down-on-his-luck architect Fang (Daniel Wu) and CEO Cheung Shen (Louis Koo) a playboy who also works in an office building directly adjacent to Cheng Zixin. In movie two, the soon-to-be married Cheng Zixin watches Cheung Shen try out all his old playboy tricks on her boss, played by Yeung Miriam.

It is very entertaining to watch Louis Koo play this aging playboy who finds a new partner who is almost as cool toward marriage as he is.

Eventually, though, this does turn back into another well played love triangle set in the financial district of Hong Kong. The director did a great job of making this fast paced and crowded city seem like a small community where everyone knows everyone else's business - personal and private. Cheung Shen's staffers and Cheng Zixin's family are also portrayed beautifully - I love a movie where character actors have as big a role as the beautiful stars.

Music wise, the soundtrack is a light classical to modern playlist. Nothing to complain about but nothing special, either. There is a listless side plot about favorite songs - if you are familiar with Hong Kong singers, this might make you laugh.

Light, entertaining, modern, fast paced and beautifully shot - I recommend this for a fun viewing. Rewatch value would be pretty high as well.
