In 199X, global mass insect outbreaks signaled an impending invasion. While investigating in the jungle, Kai Takuya met Grul, an insect elder who warned of an imminent threat. Despite Dr. Mukai's urgent pleas to the government and the UN, their warnings went unheeded, leaving them to take action on their own. As predicted, the Jamahl, an interdimensional invasion force, arrived and quickly defeated the insects. In the midst of the chaos, Takuya and Dr. Mukai struggled with malfunctioning armor.
