Ji Chang Wook will reportedly join the upcoming film Colony (working title).
According to multiple movie insiders on October 30, Ji Chang Wook will also be one of the main leads of the newest movie by director Yeon Sang Ho. Earlier, reports stated that the zombie-themed movie Colony will be led by Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Shin Hyun Been, and Kim Shin Rok. It was also reported that the upcoming movie will have a 20 billion won ($14.4 million) budget for its production.
Ji Chang Wook's side hasn't responded to the casting reports. There are also no details yet on the possible character that was offered to the actor.
Colony will showcase the story of two or more homogeneous individuals who are connected. This will be the next zombie-themed film of director Yeon Sang Ho after Train to Busan and Peninsula.
If Ji Chang Wook confirms his casting, this will be his first time to work with the renowned director.
Colony is scheduled to premiere in 2026 and reports stated that the filming will begin next year. The movie will reportedly be distributed by Showbox.
Earlier today, Ji Chang Wook attended the product presentation of their upcoming Disney+ K-drama Gangnam B-Side. Ji Chang Wook together with other casts Jo Woo Jin, Ha Yoon Kyung, BIBI, Hyun Bong Sik, Oh Ye Ju, and more faced the press to promote the release of their series.
Last week, there were also reports that Ji Chang Wook will be starring in a new Netflix K-drama alongside Son Ye Jin.
The top actor is booked and busy with several upcoming K-dramas. Ji Chang Wook is set to star in the upcoming series Fabricated City, Twelve, and Mr. Right.
This year, the actor also returned to the big screen with the film Revolver.
