Girls' Generation's Seohyun will reportedly be the female lead for the upcoming drama "The Jinx's Lover"
Several media outlets reported that Seohyun will work alongside Na In Woo in the upcoming drama "The Jinx's Lover." Her agency Namoo Actors responded to the reports and stated that the idol-actress is currently in discussion to star in the drama.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, the fantasy romance drama will narrate the story of a man who accepted his fate as an unlucky person, and a goddess who went to the world to remove her curse. "The Jinx's Lover" will be directed by Yoon Sang Ho ("River Where the Moon Rises” and "Saimdang, Light’s Diary") and penned by Jang Yoon Mi ("Luck-Key").
Seohyun was given the offer to play the role of Lee Seul Bi. She is the "Goddess of Fortune" who will soon meet Na In Woo's character Gong Soo Kwang. She will be the one to help the unlucky fate of Gong Soo Kwang.
Reports stated that the production of "The Jinx's Lover" will start in the second half of the year.
If Seohyun confirms her casting for "The Jinx's Lover," this will be her follow-up drama since 2020's "Private Lives" with Go Kyung Pyo, Kim Hyo Jin, and Kim Young Min.
Seohyun is currently focusing on her acting career by signing under Namoo Actors. She left her first agency SM Entertainment in 2017. Although she's not active in promoting as an idol, she is still part of her group, Girls Generation.
The idol-actress also participated in dramas such as "Time," "Bad Thief, Good Thief," "Ruby Ruby Love," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and more. Seohyun will also appear in the upcoming movies "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" and "Moral Sense."
