Ha Yoon Kyung will reportedly join the upcoming K-drama Alone in the Woods.
Media outlet SPOTV shared on March 20 that Ha Yoon Kyung has been picked to portray the younger version of Lee Jung Eun's character in the upcoming K-drama Alone in the Woods.
Ha Yoon Kyung's side hasn't responded to the casting reports.
Alone in the Woods is a mystery thriller K-drama that will reveal the story of two men who runs a motel and a pension in different eras. Sang Joon manages a motel in a rural area during the summer of 2000 while Young Ha runs a pension alone during the summer of 2021.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Kim Yoon Seok, Yoon Kye Sang, Go Min Si, Lee Jung Eun, Ryu Hyun Kyung, and Park Ji Hwan.
It will be the next work of director Mo Wan Il who also helmed the hit K-drama The World of the Married.
Ha Yoon Kyung got the offer to play the role of the younger Yoon Bo Min which is also the role of Lee Jung Eun. Yoon Bo Min is a former police chief. She then gets appointed in a village to keep an eye on Young Ha and the suspicious events involving him.
Alone in the Woods will be produced by Studio Lululala (SLL) and Studio Flow. The upcoming K-drama will premiere through Netflix.
This will be the fourth upcoming K-drama of Ha Yoon Kyung. The actress is also set to star in the series See You in My 19th Life, Bulk, and 2024's Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2.
Ha Yoon Kyung became more known last year after being part of the hit ENA K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo. She is best known as Woo Young Woo's best friend at the office named Choi Soo Yeon.
The actress made her acting debut in 2014. She has starred in several K-dramas such as Matrimonial Chaos, Hospital Playlist, She Would Never Know, Monthly Magazine Home, and more.
Aside from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Ha Yoon Kyung also appeared in the 2022 film Mother and Daughter with Kim Jung Young, Kim Woo Kyum, and Lee Chae Kyung.
