Actress Jeon Mi Do is in discussion to return to the big screen soon.
On October 23, media outlet YTN shared an exclusive report stating that Jeon Mi Do will join Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Yoo Hae Jin in the upcoming movie The Man Who Lives with the King. It was also reported that the movie will begin filming early next year.
The distributor of the upcoming film responded to the casting reports of Jeon Mi Do. Showbox states, "We are in positive discussions with Jeon Mi Do's side regarding her appearance in the upcoming movie.
If Jeon Mi Do confirms her casting, this will be her grand comeback to the big screen. The last time she was in a film was in 2019 through the movie Metamorphosis.
This will also be her follow-up project after the successful SBS K-drama Connection wherein she worked alongside Ji Sung, Kwon Yul, Kim Kyung Nam, Jung Soon Won, and Jung Yoo Min.
Jeon Mi Do became more known to the public after starring in the hit K-drama Hospital Playlist. She starred in the two seasons of the series and was praised not only for her acting skills and chemistry with co-actors but also for her ability to portray a tone-deaf character.
She has also starred in the K-dramas Thirty-Nine, Black Dog, Mother, and more. Jeon Mi Do is also known for starring in several musicals.
The Man Who Lives with the King will tell the story of King Danjong. He was the 6th King of the Joseon Dynasty and was exiled to Yeongwol, Gangwon Province.
The K-drama will be the next project of director Jang Hang Joon who also helmed the films Rebound, Forgotten, Spring Breeze, and more.
Another actor who also received the offer to star in the upcoming movie is Park Ji Hoon.
There is no confirmation yet on the character that was offered to Jeon Mi Do. There is also no official confirmation yet on the premiere date of the upcoming film.
