NU'EST's Hwang Min Hyun is in discussion to lead a new webtoon-based K-drama.
On May 22, several media outlets revealed that Hwang Min Hyun will be starring in another K-drama. He will be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama titled Study Group.
Hwang Min Hyun's agency Pledis Entertainment responded to the casting reports. According to them, Hwang Min Hyun did receive the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama and the idol actor is positively considering it.
Before he stars in Study Group, Hwang Min Hyun will first appear in the upcoming K-drama Useless Lies. He will be working alongside Kim So Hyun, Seo Ji Hoon, Yun Ji On, and Lee Si Woo.
Last year, Hwang Min Hyun became more known as an actor after starring in the hit K-drama Alchemy of Souls. He made a strong impression in the series and also got praised for his chemistry with other cast.
In 2023, Hwang Min Hyun also made his solo debut after 10 years since he started his career.
Hwang Min Hyun made his debut in 2012 through Pledis Entertainment's first boy group named NU'EST. In 2013, Hwang Min Hyun started his acting career. In 2020, Hwang Min Hyun starred in his first-ever leading role in a series. He was the main lead of the K-drama Live On together with Jung Da Bin, Noh Jong Hyun, Yang Hye Ji, Yeonwoo, and Choi Byung Chan.
Study Group will tell the story of a student who wants to study well but is only talented with fighting skills. The story will be based on a webtoon of the same name.
Hwang Min Hyun got the offer to play the role of Yoon Ga Min, the main lead of the story.
There is no official confirmation yet on the release date and broadcast channel of the K-drama. There are also no reports yet on which actors will be joining Hwang Min Hyun in the Study Group.
