Jang Dong Yoon and Seol In Ah will be reuniting in the upcoming KBS drama "Oasis." Actor Cho Young Woo will also be part of the main cast.
On August 31st, KBS confirmed that Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, and Choo Young Woo will be the main leads of the upcoming period drama titled "Oasis."
"Oasis" will tell the story of three individuals and how they protect their dream, friendship, and their first love in the setting of the turbulent times of the Republic of Korea from the 1980s to the 1990s. The series will be helmed by director Hanhee and the script will be penned by writer Jung Hyung Soo ("Jumong").
The production team of the drama shared, "We will showcase a new fun to the new generation viewers who are enthusiastic sympathetic in the 80s and 90s. We will provide nostalgia to the older generation who reminisce about the old days. Please look forward to the stories of youth born in the 90s that will be portrayed by the main leads."
Jang Dong Yoon will play the role of Lee Doo Hak. Lee Do Hak is smart and has a clear soul despite growing up in poverty. He falls in love at first sight after meeting Oh Jung Shin, a transfer student from Seoul.
Seol In Ah will play the role of Oh Jung Shin, the transferee from Seoul. She is honest and confident. She also doesn't like injustice and always does her best to achieve her dream.
Choo Young Woo on the other hand will give life to the character named Choi Chul Woong. He is his friend and also the rival of Lee Doo Hak since childhood. He is an elite who is always at the top spot in school. He has everything and the only thing that he can't win is the heart of one girl.
