Jeon Do Yeon received the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama The Price of Confession.
On December 20, media outlets reported that Jeon Do Yeon got the offer to play the main lead role in the upcoming K-drama The Price of Confession. It was also recently revealed that director Lee Jeong Hyo has taken over the upcoming K-drama.
Jeon Do Yeon's agency Management SOOP shared their side regarding the circulating casting reports. According to the agency, "Jeon Do Yeon did receive the offer to lead The Price of Confession. This is one of the works that are being reviewed by the actress."
If Jeon Do Yeon confirms her casting, this will be her follow-up work after the hit 2023 K-drama Crash Course in Romance with Jung Kyung Ho, Lee Bong Ryun, Oh Eui Shik, Shin Jae Ha, and Roh Yoon Seo.
Aside from K-dramas, Jeon Do Yeon is set to return to the big screen with the upcoming movie Revolver with Ji Chang Wook and Im Ji Yeon.
The Price of Confession tells the story of two women who are involved in a murder case. The K-drama was supposed to be led by Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee. After a long discussion, both the actresses decided to not appear and the original director of the series also decided to back out.
According to reports, the upcoming K-drama will begin its production in 2024 with its reinforced production team.
Director Lee Jeong Hyo will be helming the upcoming K-drama. He is known for creating the hit K-dramas Doona!, Crash Landing on You, Romance Is a Bonus Book, Life on Mars, and more.
The Price of Confession will reportedly premiere through an OTT platform.
