Kim Gun Woo's next project will reportedly be the upcoming K-drama Eun Jung and Sang Yeon.
According to media outlets on June 21, Kim Gun Woo will be joining Kim Go Eun in the upcoming K-drama Eun Jung and Sang Yeon.
The production company who's responsible for the new series, Kakao Entertainment responded to the casting reports of Kim Gun Woo. According to them, "It is true that we offered a role to Kim Gun Woo and we are currently discussing it positively."
If Kim Gun Woo confirms his casting, this will be his follow-up project after The Glory. Ever since Kim Gun Woo starred in The Glory, his popularity rose and he received a lot of offers from different industries.
Currently, Kim Gun Woo is a regular member of the variety program My Little Old Boy.
Kim Gun Woo made his acting debut in 2017. He is known for being part of the K-dramas Record of Youth, Catch the Ghost, Less Than Evil, Fight for My Way, and more.
Eun Jung and Sang Yeon tells the story of two childhood friends who were once close but drifted apart, reuniting as a drama writer and a film producer. It will be a collaboration between director Jo Young Min, known for directing The Interest of Love and Do You Like Brahms? and writer Song Hye Jin, who penned the Korean version of The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.
For the roles of Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, actors Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun, respectively, have received casting offers. Both sides are positively considering the offers.
Kim Gun Woo got the offer to play the role of Kim Sang Hak. He was the ex-boyfriend of Kim Go Eun's character Eun Jung back when they were in college. Currently, he is an outstanding film director.
