The star-studded superhero K-drama Twelve confirms its official main leads.
On October 22, the upcoming action fantasy K-drama Twelve production team confirmed that Ma Dong Seok and Park Hyung Sik will co-lead the series.
In recent weeks, it has also been reported that actors Ji Chang Wook, Sung Dong Il, Lee Joo Bin, Seo In Guk, and Kang Mi Na will be part of the superhero K-drama.
This will be the grand comeback of Ma Dong Seok to the K-drama scene. The top actor last starred in a K-drama in 2016 through the series 38 Task Force. In the past years, the actor has been focused on films and only made special appearances in K-dramas. Aside from Twelve, Ma Dong Seok will also lead the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Hive.
Meanwhile, this will be the third official upcoming K-drama of Park Hyung Sik. The idol actor will also join the cast of the SBS K-drama Treasure Island and the melodrama Desperado. This year, Park Hyung Sik led the popular romantic comedy K-drama Doctor Slump with Park Shin Hye.
The upcoming superhero K-drama Twelve will showcase the journey of 12 animals turned angels struggling to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. In the old times, through their sacrifices, they managed to seal away the power of evil, but the demons have awakened, and the chaos is back.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next masterpiece of director director Kang Dae Gyu who is also known for creating Pawn, Harmony, Tidal Wave, and He Was Cool.
Ma Dong Seok will portray the role of Taesan in the series. He is an angel and the head of the 12 gods. He represents the animal, tiger.
Park Hyung Sik on the other hand will portray the role of Oh Gui, the demon who wakes up from the seal and will bring chaos. He will reappear after thousands of years and he will fight against Taesan and the other angels.
According to reports, the production team already started filming for Twelce. The K-drama is set to premiere in 2025 but there is no confirmation yet on the broadcast station as well as the official airing date.
