Actress Joo Min Kyung's next K-drama project is Netflix's The Trunk.
On November 14, it was officially confirmed that Joo Min Kyung will star in Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin's much anticipated K-drama The Trunk.
Joo Min Kyung's agency confirmed the reports and asked viewers to look forward to the performance of the actress in the upcoming Netflix original series.
This will be her follow-up work after starring in the K-drama No Gain, No Love and its spin-off Spice up Our Love. Joo Min Kyung's character in the series gained attention for having a modern type of relationship which is not usually showcased in K-dramas.
Joo Min Kyung started her acting career in 2014. She is known for being part of the K-dramas Behind Your Touch, Green Mothers' Club, Jirisan, One Spring Night, Something in the Rain, My Love Eun Dong, and more.
The Trunk is a mystery romance K-drama revolving around two individuals in a one-year contract marriage. When a strange trunk is found by a lake, the truth about the company and the contract marriage service provider is uncovered.
Aside from Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin, the upcoming K-drama will be led by Hong Woo Jin, Jung Yun Ha, Kim Dong Won, and Uhm Ji Won.
Joo Min Kyung will portray the role of Yoon Ah. She is the wife of Hong Woo Jin's character who is also the owner of the label that Gong Yoo's character Jeong Won works at.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of Kim Kyu Tae (Our Blues, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and It's Okay, That's Love) and writer Park Eun Young (Hwarang).
The Trunk will premiere exclusively on Netflix on November 29. It will consist of 8 one-hour episodes.
