Actress Park Eun Bin will be the first solo host at the opening ceremony of the 28th Busan International Film Festival.
Actor Lee Je Hoon, who was initially going to co-host the opening ceremony with Park Eun Bin, had to withdraw due to health reasons. The Busan International Film Festival opted for the unconventional format of having Park Eun Bin as the sole host instead of looking for another male host. This makes her the first solo host and the first female solo host at the festival's opening ceremony.
Park Eun Bin, renowned for her versatility, has earned immense love from fans all around the world. The actress is particularly recognized for playing the autistic lawyer Woo Young Woo in the law K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which won her the Rising Star Award for TV at the Critics' Choice Awards 2022 and the Grand Prize at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards in the TV category. Following this, she solidified her position as one of South Korea's top actresses.
With Park Eun Bin showcasing her distinctive charm at the festival's opening, it is anticipated that numerous Korean and Asian stars will also participate, creating a dazzling red carpet event.
The 28th Busan International Film Festival will span ten days and take place at the Busan Cinema Center starting from October 4 to October 13.
